An Utter Disappointment...
When I first saw the trailer for this drama, I honestly had a lot of expectations. Because from the trailer, I can already imagine how much budget was spent on this drama in order to get cinematography like that. But what I got instead was a deep disappointment. This drama was not executed well at all. There are several things that need to be applauded here. The first is cinematography and the choice of color filters for each scenes. Appropriate colors are chosen to describe the situation or feelings of the actors. Directing and camera movement are also done very well. The background music for each scene is also well chosen.
Unfortunately, there are more things that deserve criticism from this drama.
Starting from the plot, the story concept is not that bad even though it is quite cliche. The first four episodes are quite good at depicting the hierarchy (well the title is hierarchy indeed) that exists at Jooshin High School, how the male lead adapts and starts to build chemistry with the female lead, plus a little plot twist at the end of the story about the male lead's real identity. But after the fifth episode, everything seemed to crumble down. The male lead who doesn't know whether he should take revenge or prioritize his unrequited love. Plus the female lead who doesn't actually have an important role enough to be called as the main character. Even the supporting actors at least have roles and storylines that are perhaps better than the main characters. The next storyline gets even more chaotic and suddenly the end of the drama arrived, making the viewers dumbfounded. No revenge. No worthy romance. No deep friendship. It's just nothing in the end.
+ The acting of the characters.
The male lead is quite good as a rookie but that's it. He's delivering a quite good acting in some scenes. Nothing more.
The female lead was a robot throughout the 7 episodes, to the point that I couldn't even sympathize with her so called suffering.
The second male lead was just plain. He supposed to be the richest and arrogant richest kid but instead he feels like he is poorer than the poor male lead. Every gestures and expressions of his are far from the one he shoul've had as the only heir of the biggest company in SK.
The supporting lead is just meh. But the one who acted as Hera is quite okay. I could see her potential as a rookie. Some of her scenes are well delivered tho.
In conclusion, if you asked me:
1. Is this a youth drama? No. The content is too explicit to be called a youth drama. Tbh, what kind of youth drama would have a s*x (even though no one were nude), drugs, and alcohol party for a highschooler.
2. Is this an action drama/thriller? No. The most frequent action scene that appears is just a group of kids bullying a transfer student just because they offended the second male lead. It was so lame!
3. Is this a revenge drama? I do not think so. Indeed, the concept of this drama is revenge, but in the end the main character doesn't actually take any revenge.
4. Then is this a romance drama? Not really. Because none of them end up with each other. And it made me wonder if the male lead is really the male lead lol. In the end, it felt like there's only a female lead without any male lead.
So what type of drama is this? To be honest, I'm also confused hahaha
That's why I told you that this drama is an utter disappointment for me.

Complete Time waste With lot of flaw in story :-cc
I strongly advise against watching these shows. The storyline is riddled with flaws from beginning to end, and the acting is subpar. The only positive aspect I can point out is the background music. I fail to see the purpose of creating this show as it fails to evoke any emotions. None of the characters are compelling, and it seems to fall apart after the first episode. I am sharing this to caution others against making the same mistake I did by choosing to watch this show. ThanksWas this review helpful to you?
don’t waste your time
what a waste. the storyline went downhill very quickly. then ending was not realistic. so many things went wrong. wasted potential and very disappointing. I wish I had not spent my time binge watching this just to get to the last episode and fast forward hoping for a change in the story line. only positive was the fashion wasn’tterrible? lots of cute bags and outfits. The crazy dad was the best actor but he’s always good. the rest did okay given their roles didn’t require much talent.

bad storyline
i think this kdrama will be so glamourous, chic, fancy and something expensive. i understood if some people say an acting so cool! but the storyline really sucks, have many a lot of hole plot but, for properties i like it so much!! the problem in this k drama just BAD STORYLINE, the revenge isn't revenge, OUHHH romantic on this drama really excessive.. like student hs with teacher? not make sense really.. i finished this drama with 2× speed in one day, i just wanna see a pretty girl and handsome boy, so the POINTTTT IS this drama having a great cast but the very bad story lineWas this review helpful to you?

Hierachy
Better than I expected, worse than many people predicted. I watched because there is not many episodes and I liked Roh Jeong Eui in Our beloved summer. Typical drama about rich kids, bullying etc., nothing new, you easily can leave without watching this.Spoiler - I wish RJE ended with Lee Chae Min's character, also Ji Hye Won and Lee Won Jung should end together - after the time I feel like they were more interesting than main leads.
Ending - it is either a open ending or we will get second season, 50/50.

It was a fun watch, not too complicated
I liked this drama better than the hyped dramas that came this year till now. It starts off slow but picks up pace from the 2nd episode. And after that you just can’t stop watching. The plot keeps you going till the end.Jae-i had good chemistry with both of the guys but I wanted him to end up with Ri-an and I am happy she kind of did picked him in the end. She was herself with him only and he was also sincere with her. So I am glad that they sorted out the mess and ended on good terms.
I am not sure about kang ha,maybe there should’ve been another female lead for him as love interest bcz Jae-i loved Ri-an and they are more suited for each other.
I liked the rivalry and the ups and downs on their friendship. He-ra was amazing. Loved her character. She was more interesting character than Jae-i. ?
Overall I wasn’t as interested in the school bullying thing as it got too toxic but that was the main plot of the show. I was more interested in what was going on between Jae-i, Ri-an, Kang ha and He-ra love square. Overall it was a good watch to complete in one day.

Disappointed by the lack of a storyline. It gave nothing for real
The first episode was really good. A man on a mission to revenge his brother, a wealthy frigid female lead, and her equally wealthy ex-boyfriend, who is vicious and hopelessly in love with the female lead. However, all of this turned into a disaster. From vengeance to falling in love with an icy affluent female protagonist who is lonely and afraid (damsel in distress), which resulted in a love triangle that was not necessary, plus the rest was just not right. Was this review helpful to you?

Same old plot, same old love triangle!
I was so excited for this drama thinking that it will give me something new and different but boy was I wrong.Plot:
I'm so sorry but the idea of someone getting bullied and killed for trying to be friends with the most popular girl in school is so stupid. The fact that the whole plot is literally the most beautiful girl in the school makes silly decisions or mediocre decisions and some how it effects the whole school. I still don't understand how the ML fell for her. Honestly the whole show was trying to make us feel sorry for the rich students but I couldn't care less. Another thing I found annoying was how useless the ML was. He really had no plans on bringing down the school. His whole talk of getting the highest grade was so useless since we didn't see anything on grade ratings or him studying. I kind of wished he was more overpowered- having more tricks and secrets up his sleeves. Without the principals son, the ML wouldn't have found his brothers killer. And the fact that he can't fight was so anticlimactic - literally getting punched by everyone. Lastly, if you HATE love triangles, Dont watch this. Again the guys only love her because she is different and smiles once in a month. I feel like the love wasn't needed at all especially if you know your mission is to find your brothers killer, I Dont think you should be foliacing with girls.
Set and casting
The cinematography was stunning and the settings, houses and the school will call you broke in seven languages. I loved the cast. They can all act and visuals were on point. Too bad I was bored by the 3rd episode.
Music
One of the worst part of the show. It sounded like tesco Billie eilish. I couldn't tell whether was songs were in English or Korean.
Conclusion
Overall it wasn't bad. It was like every other mediocre rich kids drama but with a big budget. So anticlimactic And will leave you dissatisfied. If you want a movie to watch that is way better than this show with more drama and plot, watch student of the year.

"Netflix: A Series of Dull Story, Uncaptivated by Korean Dramas"
Why netflix is so obsessed spainsh elitè series. Money waste , boring plot and acting sucks and cast selection is bit wierd like twinkling watermelon old couple did not suited well for the characters . It is remake of elitè series with slightly some changes into it, taking is not impressive too like korea 's used to take. Nothing is there in it only time waste series. Was this review helpful to you?
absolutely worth it.
This series dives into the cutthroat world of corporate power struggles with an intricate plot full of twists that kept me hooked from the first episode. The characters are complex and their motivations are slowly revealed, adding depth to the already gripping story. The lead actors' chemistry is intense, and their performances are nothing short of stellar. Visually stunning with its sleek cinematography and high production values, "Hierarchy" also stands out for its sharp writing and perfectly matched soundtrack. If you're into suspenseful dramas with a touch of romance, this one is a must-watchWas this review helpful to you?

this drama was iffy
The start of the drama was amazing if felt like the director put time and effort into the first couple episodes however I felt the ending of the whole thing was rushed and they just didn’t have any idea what to doI hated Ri-an in this drama so much I felt like his character wasn’t it and just wanted Jae-I. I feel like Kang Ha and Jae-I are a better match idk why I just love the rich and poor duo a bit to much …lol.
I’m guessing Jae-I went to her birth mother at the end and I thought that was cute because earlier in the drama she want to go to quite place and guessing it was her mum. Jae-I dad got on my nerves and her brother , like why flim her and treat her like she a nothing to you, Her dad holy he was so annoying like how can to talk Abt your daughter and her birth mum like that. I just want to slap some common sense in him.
i love how they director showed that Kang Ha and Kang in Han like I didn’t even know they were brothers especially fertile twins like wow.
overall this drama could have been better If there is a s2 will defo watch it
