Trash movie
Watch this for our main lead, NuNew Chawarin Perdpiriyawong & Zee Pruk Panich. Well this movie what happen when u rush to grab any script just for the sake of both actor can be on the same screen again. 1 word only.... TRASHThe only good thing is the chemistry of the lead, NuNew & Zee. The other just trash after trash... From the trash plot, to the trash thriller or horror, even the trash of the ghost make up. Haha....
I'm out of word to describe how trash this movie... One supposed to be quite good story, is what the impression i get from the summary, they make it so trashy just to make NuNew & Zee to be on the same screen again...
Overall just skip this movie. Although only about 1 hr, but i already feel i waste my time... Hope for better future project for NuNew & Zee....

Lazy plot, beautiful movie.
The story feels short, but it's to be expected being a movie and not a series.Cinematography was excellent, and so was the music. I found the pace also very well measured.
I would have loved for the villain to be a bit more humanized. The rest of the characters seem to just be innocent victims of the circumstances. Because of all this I find the plot rather lazy. Nobody goes through character development and all of their actions are very black and white.
I recommend it if you want to take your mind off things and just spend an entertaining evening. Besides, ZeeNuNew kisses are always a plus.

A good watch
Honestly, I came for ZeeNunew. Had to set the vpn to watch it on Netflix.Thire story was interesting and the acting was superb ? as expected of ZNN. The music was Okay. Would have been much better to have more time and develop the backstory ans second couple's story too.
The plot was nothing very new compared to other supernatural movies but it was interesting because of the LGBTQIA+ theme. Was expecting to see the discrimination and barriers faced by gender minorities especially in that era and probably because of the storyline, it wasn't well portrayed like in Khun Chai.
Not a big fan of villianizing the women (the crazy ex) in BL stories though.

A story who was badly written.
So, you put two BL actors who are a couple in real lie. You expect chemistry... Well, it never showed. I didn't feel any love between the characters, and even after they slept together, still no emotions.The story was ... blah. Revenge of a ghost who married a rich man, who himself was in love with another man... Not the story of a lifetime. He could have been scarier, with much more drama. Another woman who is living the same life as the ghost, or a revenge of someone reborn... So many things could have made it much better. But they focused too much on the two main characters and forgot what the movie is about. I very rarely judge a BL that low, but I expected so much from this movie. I hope the production will do a better job with their next film "The Next Prince" !!!

It felt like : Parallel reality of Cutie Pie the series
I haven’t see the trailer beforehand, I jumped directly to the movie.And for what I got to see, it gave me IFYLITA vibes watered with softer horror tones.
P’Zee and NuNew’s performance didn’t surprise me, because they delivered as usual (I’m referring to CP the series).
The plot was good,sweet and simple and somehow directive but it wasn’t made for them, I think that they need more challenging characters and roles, taking into account what they have already done and in their potential.
This plot was more oriented for newcomers actors.
Watchable but not rewatchable.. it’s the kind of movies you’ll forget once you finished it.
At the end I had the sensation that I watched Cutie Pie the series( because of the elements portrayed in both characters), but in parallel reality. Spoke out my thoughts….

I've seen this movie 100 times already
After Sundown is so cookie-cutter with many, many, MANY played out BL tropes. From forbidden gay love between master and servant to childhood friends who have only met once and yet fell in love. Since it's only an hour and forty minute film, I don't mind the sudden shift between enemies to lovers. What I do mind is that it is addressed ONCE in the film with a necklace and a single flashback. A personal pet peeve of mind in BL, since I find the trope of childhood friends who met once in their lifetimes lazy and a cop out for why our male leads fall in love with one another. Same goes for the forbidden love between master and servant, I love Never Let Me Go but I didn't even really care for it in their Our Sky 2 episodes either.The only semi-interesting plot point about this film is the dead grandmother's ghost cursing Rawi (NuNew). Since she was jealous of the gay love of her husband who was forced to marry her. Again, a lazy boring trope that brings nothing to the table. The half assed side couple was also embarrassing to watch, they actually only got a single scene and were completely pushed to the side after. Like? Okay? I understand we're supposed to assume that they end up together cause BL Side Couple Law says so. But still, kind of hard to care about characters that the movie doesn't even bother with for more than a couple minutes of screentime.
The only compliment I can give this movie is production and scene quality, and of course ZeeNuNew, (The reason I watched this in the first place). Despite not particularly liking the setting I could appreciate the work and detail put into it. Both the scenery and clothing were appealing to look at and ZeeNuNew's chemistry kept me somewhat interested in the film.
But unless you're a big fan of ZeeNuNew and don't mind a very safe and boring film, I cannot recommend this movie.

Great actors but boring story
The film starts with very poor character introductions. Starting with Rawi's relationship with the monk, it was really too short. Then there was no urgency that was so important that Rawi had to live with Pharit's family. So it's a little difficult to feel the emotions the character is feeling at that moment.The storyline was so fast that I felt the script was too to the point. Especially when transitioning from day to night, or from one day to the next. They only use the same scene, namely the house scene when it is light and when it is dark.
Even though there are so many black notes, there are several things that I still like about this film. Phloeng's acting is still better, although not the best. And the ghosts or spirits here are scary, I admit it makes me scared.
Unfortunately, in the middle of the film I started to feel bored. Especially considering that their dialogue was too to the point earlier. There was no drama spice presented so I didn't feel any emotions except fear when I met a ghost. I think this film would be better made into a series. So that the audience can understand the characters more deeply.

Short and sweet
A short and sweet love story, with a sprinkling of horror, tragedy, and forgiveness. I was impressed by the ghost—I wasn't expecting the 'horror' to be scary, but the ghost successfully creeped me out, which I loved. This is a perfect show for when you're short on time, and want a brilliantly performed bit of everything. I would love to see it extended into a series.Was this review helpful to you?

Good but a little fast
It was definitely good though I'm used to series meaning I'mm used to slightly slower falling in love. They sorta just went from enemies to lovers in very little time. But It was overall good.Something that got me laughing though was the way they were able to talk to the ghost and like get it to bring him back

I guess maybe I'm just sick of Zee/New together. I'd love to see them paired with someone else for a change. I'm finding the things they are in together now a little dull and unexciting. The story of this was ok just ok but I think it would've been better if Zee was paired with another actor. This isn't something that I'd watch again.Was this review helpful to you?
Scenes that were supposed to be scary were just funny.
The story was quite passable and scary, but the execution was not. For me, the movie would have turned out better if they had decided to focus on only one side - horror or romance. Romance was rushed, hate miraculously turned to love. The horror elements were weak, although very well done graphically. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the creators of the movie failed to create a horror atmosphere.The acting was quite weak, in some passages the actors exaggerated too much. I like this couple, but this was definitely not their best work.

Even though the duration of this movie is only about 100 minutes they tried to cover each and every aspect. If only they could have increased the runtime and showed us some character development, then it would have felt way more content while watching the movie.Even though the story is something common - Arranged marriage to drive away misfortune, leads already met when they are kids, and the horror part is also something kind of similar plot which we are already familiar with(I don't want to spoil it). Everything was extremely supernatural and way beyond science(Well what else can we expect when the story was set in 1960s hahaha). Like I said they could have made the whole plot in a more detailed manner(Not saying it is not detailed enough LOL).
Acting wise, the actors did a really good job. The music is also pleasing and suited the movie and the situation really well. Like we already know NuNew is a great singer right!! My only complaints are regarding the story elaboration, other than that it's a good movie.
[Ahem...the headline is a hint regarding climax]
P.S. - I have not read the novel. But the movie's a solid one time watch. Go Watch it!!
