Both dramas are about young folk discovering their attraction to each other. They experience confusing emotions and struggle with them. They also both have a light feeling with a supportive friend group.

Both are just cute highschool romance, no innecesary complications, just two highschool boys learning about their feelings and love.

Both of these BL romances center around childhood friends, where one has held an unrequited crush on the other since basically the beginning. It takes a while for the other to figure and find out, and for them to get over the fear of damaging their friendship, but the resultant slow development from friends to lovers is similarly sweet in both dramas.

Both of these Japanese high school BLs center around a budding couple between a cheerful and charismatic ML who just wants a girlfriend, and their more serious and reserved classmate (childhood friend in the case of Kimi ni wa Todokanai). They also both exhibit a budding romance where the love confession of the other is carefully considered instead of outright accepted or rejected, and have similar freak outs from the cheerful lead. The plot tension largely comes into play in reference to their need to communicate.

Similar vibe. A cold guy who doesn't want to confess his love but can't help but show it, and a cute guy who gets confused by it

Satoshi Onoe is a reporter for the weekly gossip magazine Dash!. The magazine is a hit among readers, often containing juicy details about the latest celebrity scandals. Its success is largely down to its so-called stakeout crews—teams of journalists and photographers who follow celebrities in the hope of catching them getting up to no good. One day, the magazine’s senior staff decided to reshuffle the stakeout teams—and pair Satoshi Onoe with the photographer Motoharu Kaburagi. Satoshi Onoe secretly resents Motoharu Kaburagi and thinks of him as a rival of sorts. Furthermore, while Satoshi Onoe prides himself on his writing skills and his sense of ethics, Motoharu Kaburagi is very different. The photographer has poor manners and takes a haphazard approach to work. The two clash as they begin their joint assignments, resentful that they have to work together. But as they try to catch the ultimate scoop, they unexpectedly begin to develop feelings for one another.

Both stories feature thoughtful and realistic depictions of teenagers dealing with issues of love and identity in general, as well as the complications of falling in love with your best friend specifically.
Kamisama no Ekohiiki explores some deeper, more philosophical topics as well and generally has slightly higher production value, but both shows are incredibly wholesome and gentle, and frankly perfect for a cozy weekend spent cuddled up on the couch.

Both of these high school japanese BLs center around a pair of friends. One that is more cheerful and charismatic, the other more serious. One of which has given up on having his gay love requited, and the other asking for time to process his confession instead of rejecting him. Theyre both very sweet and innocent romances, with a straighforward plot just focused on developing and reciprocating feelings.

The thai short movie deals with the same topic; childhood best friends see their relationship changing. The short film packed as much emotion in extraordinary 20min as the japanese series in 160 long rather boring minutes.
