Li Chung Chien used to star in Peking operas as Zhong Kui, the legendary vanquisher of ghosts. Old and hoarse, he is forced to leave the stage and work as a security guard in a residential building to make ends meet. But recently, the building is said to be haunted… Unsettled residents ask Li Chung Chien play Zhong Kui once again in order to exorcise ghosts from the building. And so Li Chung Chien spiritedly dons his red robe, picks up his sword and paints his face, as if returning to the bright lights of the stage.
