The definition of a possessive boyfriend
In my opinion I don’t think I can live without watching them. They are so cute and have so much chemistry. Yoh is literally my favorite person ever because he’s so adorable especially that episode that he was drunk and very jealous because Mizuki and Manju were talking together so he thought they would be a perfect couple and when he got jealous I was melting because he’s so adorable when he’s sulking also when he was clinging onto Mizukis waist because he didn’t want him to walk Manju to the station. Also it’s so obvious that Mizuki loves Yoh even when they were in college because the way he looked at him and in episode 7 when he literally kept Yoh with him when he was sick. They are such a cute couple like whenever they were together it was just amazing with how much chemistry they had with each other. Also when they went on a date together and shared their food with each other and I literally got beautiful man vibes when Yoh went to get drinks for Mizuki and his friends, and Mizuki then leaving his friends to hang out with Yoh. Also I seriously think that the actor who plays Mizuki fits this show so much because he literally looks like he came out of a manga. I seriously recommend this series I’m so depressed that it’s now over and I do wish that Personal Weatherman will get a season 2 because I love this show so much. Was this review helpful to you?
A wonderful masterclass in Unreliable Narrator
I'm actually rewatching this series right now, and I'm reminded how well-done this story was overall. I think, just to say a little bit here without really being spoiler-y, that the thing I love the most about this is that it's such a unique and interesting example of an unreliable narrator. I feel that some might get the wrong idea after the first episode based on the main character's inner narration; but watch closely and you'll start to notice that the action and dialogue do not align with what he's narrating. Rather, his narration becomes more like a reflection how he feels about himself, which becomes more evident through each episode. I just love the way that the story brings us into this relationship and shows us depth of character through that unreliable lens. Really just a masterclass in character-driven story in just 8 episodes. Was this review helpful to you?

My Pefect BL Series
This is my 2nd BL series after "My Beautiful Man", and everything about My Personal Weatherman is perfect. The casting, the acting and the on/off-screen chemistry. I saw that many hate the miscommunication, but I personally loved it, because they kind of slowly understanding each other. If you really think about them communicating, the series would end in 2 episodes lol. Anw, a must watch!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Would be an amazing prequel
This would not be everyone's cup of tea but this sure is mine. I think the biggest issue with this series is that this is not a fully fleshed-out story, this feels more like a set-up to a really amazing story.Let's start out with the really good - because the good are so good:
- Tension between the two leads are amazing.
- The complexity and background of the story is fleshed out very organically - they peeled each layer one by one and not presented as a huge exposition monologue.
- Acting is so so so superb, both actors are so good with micro-expressions.
- All scenes are made with intention and contributes to the story. No scenes felt like a filler to me.
- A lot of impactful shots that are incredibly memorable such as the typhoon laundry scene, the curry scene, and the bed sheet scene.
- Well written characters and increasingly complex dimension to each character as we continue to watch.
- Cinematography is kind of excellent to me.
- Actors are both beautiful. I just have to put this out there.
Now moving on the the good, but can be improved:
- Depiction of the BDSM relationship: by the end of the series, we can clearly see that this relationship is not as toxic as what was initially presented, and that they are in some sort of a BDSM relationship agreement. However, there is a huge room for improvement because they should work towards communicating on a clearer relationship contract so there is no ambiguity on what is still within their role as a dom and a sub. I am assuming that Dayo is a bratty sub who loves to push Segasaki's buttons and Segasaki is a brat tamer but even in the end I feel like both of them are still unsure of their limits. This would be acceptable if this is only a prequel but if this is a standalone drama, then this is a huge room for improvement.
- Dayo and Segasaki are very complex characters. Dayo in this still has a huge level of self-acceptance that he needs to do - we see how much internalized homophobia he has and his reluctance to make BL comics even though his strength (as mentioned by the editor) is not in ero-manga. There is a huge storyline they could have developed out of his journey of self-acceptance and the simultaneous finding who he is as a mangaka. Segasaki is someone who masks so much in social situations and builds up such a high wall. Eventhough he said that he doesn't have his walls up with Dayo, he is also unconscious of his lack of communication. There is so much character development that is needed because for a BDSM relationship to be successful, both parties need to be good at communicating their needs and limits, but these two are a bit of a trainwreck at the moment. As I have said multiple times in this review, this series is an amazing set-up, but now we need more.
Unto the bad (there's only one):
The whole series feels like a set-up for another follow-up series. The story does not go anywhere far because the whole thing just does not feel finished. They have set up a conflict, built characters, established the current relationship dynamics, but there has not been any climax or resolution at all. I think this is the main reason people's opinions are so divided on this. Because there is no confirmed sequel, I have to rate the story on the lower end because there isn't much of a story here.
I need a sequel to this. There is so much potential to the story that they could make as a sequel, because we still have so many unresolved conflict. I want to know more about Dayo's future as a mangaka, their relationship evolution, and character development. All in all though, I absolutely adore this series for what it is and I will continue to rewatch because all in all, the good really trumps the bad.

Two of a kind
I have watched this BL drama three times now and I just love the interactions between the two, Yoh holds Mizuki in such high regard that he finds it hard to speak to him directly and so holds a lot of conversations in his head, Misuki on the othe hand doesn't seem to realise that Yoh is lonely because he has a job outside of the home and gets to interact with others. The two main actors work so well together and seem to have a real conection, they are very talented young guys, I hope to see them in other dramas.

very literary depiction of powerful trust and desire
Cinematic gem. Jdrama BL. I love this show beyond reason. A tight focus on the interactions of two characters, like a stage play rather than a drama, but with sex as part of the character arc. Total concentration on a domestic relationship partially closeted in a real world setting -- subtle and super interesting . Great, great directing by the three women who also wrote the script. A good and very literary depiction of powerful trust and desire. The classic "unreliable narrator" is the hook which draws us into the story, rooting for Yoh and fearing that he is being abused, a feeling which slowly slips away as we realize this long relationship is actually going through a quiet adjustment matching each other's needs as they change.
Non-verbal communication is important in this story. I advise taking the subtitles loosely as a key to meaning and to depend more on other meaning clues: body language, facial expressions and delivery, the cinematic frame of the dialogue's dramatic rhythmn, and the visual clues of the camera for emotion, especially color and light. 8eps at 25 mins ea.

One of the BL series in 2023
The storyline is simple. Both Mizuki and Yoh love each other (alto Yoh was confused at the beginning) but they need to communicate more. Those negative commentators, do they really understand the story? (The manga storyline is even shorter than the series). Hoping for season 2 to be released soon (Nikke Chan, 🥺, please)Was this review helpful to you?
Whole Series <<<< Episode 8
Episode 8 was out of this world seriously, really disappointed that it only had 8 episodes. It was a new kinda thing, not like other bl that I have watched, and it's really disappointing that it only had 8 episode of 20 min length, I think it should had 20,30 episode to explain their story more in the depth, from start to finish. in this we only got glimpse of their past. I think we should have startee the drama from their and reach to this point where they start loving together and become loversWas this review helpful to you?
MY PERSONAL WEATHERMAN JAP BL - WORTH WATCHING!
I absolutely adore this Japanese BL series, "MY PERSONAL WEATHERMAN"! As a fan of Japanese BL dramas, the last one I watched was TAKUMI-KUN, and choosing to dive into "MY PERSONAL WEATHERMAN" left me utterly mesmerized. The growth and improvement in the execution of acting and scripting in this series are quite evident, and I was truly impressed. The actors are not only talented but also incredibly endearing, and their on-screen chemistry is undeniable - especially during those steamy scenes!
I eagerly anticipate more projects from this talented cast and creative team, whether it's a continuation of this story or a new BL narrative. In any case, "MY PERSONAL WEATHERMAN" is a definite must-watch for BL enthusiasts.

A clumsy love hidden by miscommunication and misunderstanding portrayed by peak acting and directing
Yes, there is love.As I read up to Chapter 5/6 of the manga, I can assure you all they both love each other. But they have their tiny miscommunication and misunderstanding. There are reasons for both Mizuki's tyrant behaviour and Yoh's upset mood. I don't want to say more because it is a spoiler but you guys can rest assure, they will figure this out themselves and Mizuki will prove that he is a good husband - Yes, husband. Not boyfriend or slave-owner.
The pilot is solid with good acting skills and chemistry from the cast. If you look carefully, Kouhei really pays attention to a portray a double-sided character: changing his voice tones, facial expressions and body language. Atsuki is cute and also have diverse expressions, we can see his frustration, doubts, suffering and even tiny panting when they do it. Kouhei and Atsuki are not playing at all - they are eating!
About directing, we can enjoy this drama as Director Ayaka from OFC , Director Shinju from Jack Frost and Director Emi are doing their best in adapting a smut manga into something watchable for the public while still keep the goodness of the orginal story. The OP and ED video are made by Director Emi and they are pretty. The OP song Traumerei is good but the OP song Nostalgia is the real MVP here because of its upbeat melody with meaningful lyrics tailored to the story.
Rewatch values is 10/10 for me because I lowkey watched it 5 times already.

Kinda interesting, not everyone's type tho.
I personally loved this drama, despite the very toxic plot and a VERY toxic lead characters, tbh both of them were toxic and hence deserved each other just like yoh said in the last episode "to think about tying someone up just because he is anxious, this guy is dangerous, but to find intetest in it, i am equally messed"(us yoh us). ngl i found segasaki hot despite his behaviour. the entire series was nothing but just two people not knowing how to communicate, tbh i expected a much nicer confession, them to clear the misunderstandings but not everything happens to our expectations right? :')well if there is going to be a second season i hope they make the characters more mature and not this dense T-T i just want some fluff tbh.
