Super creative and modern
The cast delivers a solid performance as well that really pulls you in.The chemistry between Tan Jianci and Li Landi is perfect and the banters between them, and mutual scheming is chef's kiss. Jianci is such an amazing actor who honestly just makes every character his own, and it's not exception in this drama, where he plays Tang Qi, a cosmetics phD who is as adorable as he is strategic, but struggles with an sensory overload eye condition.
Lost You Forever fans are in for a real treat as there are multiple LYF easter eggs scattered throughout the drama. The author of LYF is also the screenwriter of Filter. What a treat!
I'm loving all the characters including the side characters (Gu Yu, Lian Yu, Su Qingli). All of them are loyal to their friends and they aren't dumb at all and actually successfully help their friends face problems realistically.
For me it’s definitely an urban fantasy with comedic moments and a deeper exploration of the filters that we all have about ourselves and others.
This drama gets you laughing until your stomach hurts, cringe due to it's ridiculous antics, think twice about it's commentary about beauty and self love and fall deeply in love with Tang Qi and Su Cheng Cheng. This drama is amazing and well worth the watch.

Everyone is beautiful in their own way
So many messages in this series. The FL had a lot of insecurities about her appearance and the persons around her just didnt realize how it affected her. Despite all the negative comment she got about her looks, she was still strong and tried to push through so it didnt Bother her that much. Facing these type of comments daily can definitely take a toll on you mentally. She getting the bracelet had both positive and negative impact. The positive side is that she was able to help others and the negative was the ML. He was going through it mentally. Mind you, his behaviour around her stemmed from them being in school and it was just a bunch of misunderstandings on both sides. There are a lot of comedy scenes that will make you laugh out.
Fast forward to clearing up everything, they got their happy ending of course.
For the 2nd leads, I loved their interaction and chemistry more.
I think think OST was really nice.
Overall, it was a good drama but not something I would rewatch.

See it for what it is - or is not!
I really enjoyed this drama. The acting was real and authentic. The plot was funny and ridiculous, but delivered so well. I saw a different side to TJC and it was refreshing having just watched Lost You Forever. In fact I liked that this drama referred to other dramas he has been in, I found that really clever!
A great watch, and even re-watch.Some real laugh out loud moments.
The supporting cast were great and I really enjoyed their plotlines.
Well done to all
It was a good script well executed.

This drama is for those interested in a romantic comedy with plenty of heart. The drama leans more comical than romantic for most of the episodes (with some very funny scenes) but then morphs into more of a romance towards the end. Some viewers may be disappointed that the drama does not sustain the comedy all the way. I think, however, that the writer wanted to lean thoughtful towards the end to emphasize some serious messages. Chief of those was the point that appearances and accomplishments should not matter as much as they do when it comes to love and romance. The drama does a good job of making that point. The biggest problem is that we’re all supposed to believe that the female lead is unattractive but she is played by Sandy Li and, well, if she’s supposed to be homely, then the rest of us are in trouble. Sandy Li did a great job with a sometimes unsympathetic character. The best part of the drama, however, was Tan Jian Ci, who played the nerdy male lead, and was amazing. He has perfect comedic timing with an expressive face and body but he’s also able to convey sadness and pathos without spilling over into sentimentality.Watch this drama if you need to escape all of the bad news in the world right now.

Good Idea, Poor Execution
My Issues1. The ML - Initially, the seemingly mean, and rude and ignorant behaviour, combined with the overly-friendly stalkerish behaviour with the pretty people, combined with his look, he was bouncing between clueless nerd and Jefferey Dahmer. He was either creepy or cringe. That, for me, was how it was until a short time after Su Miao died. It was more disturbing than humorous, and it was at least cringeworthy. His modern drama old man behaviour made things worse in this as well. He became more likeable from the end of episode nine.
2. The make-up situation - She clearly had makeup on most of the way through, there were only a couple of times that it looked like she might not have any on, once in the first episode, and when she was in bed. She was supposed to be not wearing make-up but it was too obvious that she was wearing a matt mask and smudged eye make-up, and sometimes had more on, and at least one of those times, she had a full face on when people were talking to her about putting make-up on as if she didnt already. Then, to make matters worse, she started applying make-up and it was just a cleaner version of what she'd been wearing all along.
3. Invisible issue, one - She became invisible and made a speech about not being able to let go of the filter, and it was obviously supposed to be this sad scene to do with her insecurities about her looks, but from what we saw, she never overindulged with the bracelet, it was just used to serve a purpose, and the only time she stayed longer than necessary as someone else was when she had no choice.
4. Invisible issue, two - It was obvious everyone kept looking directly at her face when she was invisible throughout, and when they reached out it was obvious they purposely avoided her.
5. The lead's relationship is awkward and cringy. I get that they're trying to do teen nerdy first love stuff, but it was weird, and I didnt believe they actually liked each other at all, they didn't even feel like friends and there was zero chemistry, and ALL the kisses were bad. Some people might have found them funny together but I just thought it was icky. There were moments that made them ok.
---------
I really liked the fun tech, and the music, and some of the more emotional scenes. Also, I like the second pairing a lot, and they are one of my all-time favs.
It was entertaining enough to keep watching, but that's it, there were too many big issues for me to find it more than mildly entertaining and decent on the whole.

good one
start - fml gives ml trauma twice first in school 2md by filterthere's misunderstanding for both which clears in last 10 ? eps
in starting I felt bad for FML later I did for ml because FML was deceiving him alot ,she faked death of the filter people twice
misunderstanding - ml says she's looks bad he meant makeup she thought he meant ugly so she starts to dislike him he does too because of school memories so in start he doesn't care about real her but fake her the filter, the first 15+ eps are took over by fakes story more the side characters than the FML and ml interaction, he interact with fake version for 15+ eps than with real one ,fake version are 4 people, then the filter characters is coming to end they suddenly add colour blindness? that time I felt like I'm watching a complete new drama because after 15+ eps ml and FML finally started to interact for real, I thought he would be angry and won't forgive but it gets solved easily, I wished the side characters parts was less and more ml FML interaction,
2nd couple - not interesting I skipped, I wasn't interested in their romance and why the 2nd couple is always pregnant in every drama ?
Good Comedy alot of comedy,
romance is good too it's starts usually at last 10-13 eps, I liked it enjoyed, can't believe the rating is only 8.5 ? not 9 10?
got hooked which is rare for me

Landi Li Steals the Show in this Charming Drama
Filter is an absolutely charming drama with stunning visual effects that elevate every scene. The acting, especially from Landi Li, is adorable, funny, and genuinely heart-warming, and the chemistry among the cast makes each moment enjoyable to watch. The story is engaging and emotional, though it probably could have been a little shorter for tighter pacing. The OST is also lovely, perfectly matching the mood of the series and adding depth to key moments. Overall, Filter is a delightful watch that blends humor, warmth, and beautiful visuals in a memorable way.Was this review helpful to you?
LOVE YOURSELF
This is a surprisingly nuanced rom-com that utilizes a sci-fi premise to explore modern beauty standards. It follows Su Chengcheng, an ordinary girl who finds a high-tech bracelet that allows her to change her appearance into several different 'beautiful' personas. Tan Jianci as the ML IS FANTASTIC. He plays a nerdy yet sincere character who keeps falling for Su Chencheng's various avatars, unaware that they are all the same person. It's genuinely funny, especially the absurd ways her personas have to disappear when her bracelet needs an update. Moreover, the drama explores how we curate ourselves. Just like Su Chegcheng uses the bracelet to become the beautiful Su Miao or the professional Dr. Fang Jin, people in real life use social media filters to create idealized personas. This shows that when we spend too much time behind a filter, we start to alienate our true selves, like the FL who eventually realizes that while her personas get more attention, they aren't living her life; she is just a ghost haunting her own successes.
Also, this drama doesn't shy away from the reality that beauty makes life easier. As Su Miao, the FL gets job offers and social grace that she never received as her ordinary self. It critiques a society that rewards a solidified orsingle standard of beauty. This drama specifically highlights a 'big speech' the Fl gives to a cosmetics company, challenging the idea that a woman's value is determined solely by her aesthetic appeal. The ML Tang Qi falls for multiple versions of the FL without knowing they are the same person. This creates a fascinating psychological angle. The drama asks, 'Do we love a person, or do we love the projection of who we want them to be?' Tang Qi's journey is about realizing that he wasn't falling for different faces; he was falling for the same soul ( The FL's kindness, humor, and courage), regardless of the 'skin' she was wearing.
Lastly, by the end of the series, the leads start a beauty brand called ' Chirping Birds'. Instead of selling perfection, they promote natural and confident real beauty. True confidence doesn't come from hiding flaws, but from the hard work and authenticity required to pursue one's dreams as they are. The 'filter' wasn't just on her face; it was on her mindset. Once she stopped herself as 'not enough', she didn't need the bracelet anymore.
This drama was the hidden gem of 2025 that leaves you thinking about self-acceptance. I recommend it (‾◡◝)

Be Confident
The story is about a woman who got a bracelet that can transform her looks into something else that is beautiful. But the problem is that she can't remove the bracelet. At first it's a good thing, but later on lot of trouble comes since there are several identities that relate to his boss. That's where the story becomes interesting. Was this review helpful to you?

Unexpectedly good!
It was kind of slow at the beginning but then eventually picked up. After rewatching it, that's when I truly appreciated every episode. The leads were amazing and so are the supporting cast. Frequent laughs were a happy bonus! I decided to keep my logic under wraps and just gobbled up the premise of the story...and I enjoyed every moment. It is a drama with heartfelt life lessons. I appreciated even more how good of an actor Tan JianCi truly is while Li LanDi did what she could to portray a "not so attractive" girl. It may not have been her actual appearance or features but how she perceived herself (as unattractive or undesirable) because of how the people around her made her feel.Highly recommended!

Fun with Filters until it ain't...
This drama was more fun than I thought it would be. As it took the face/bodyswap trope and did it really well. For once without making me feel any secound hand embarrassment instead it had me laughing so hard I almost peed a little... As the silly was not so silley and the lead actresses (both) in this drama where really really good at all but making us believe the female lead was ugly? seriously? in what world could Landy Li be considered anything but gorgeous? Her beauty is however topped by her character in this is so very fun to watch, charming, lovable, super hero a little Do Bong Soon type of strong girl meets supernatural kindness. Her best friend is just as sweet and fun, their friendship was way more interesting than their interactions with the men in this drama.
While there is a slightly episodic element to this drama (another thing I rather avoid), the episodic elements did not distract me to much from the main story to make me loose interest. Mostly thanks to the girls acting, dynamics and ways of clearly lying to others face done well. They actually do this without becoming pathetic... or annoying.
HOWEVER!
This drama has waaaay to many episodes for the story they are trying to tell, our male lead is sweet sometimes but honestly dude can not take no for an answer and is just a little bit to obsessed to be able to fully capture my heart or make me want to ship him with the female lead or any character at all.
As with may other c-drams this too gets to be a bit to preachy and where we could have had a story about being happily single they had to go with the good old cliches... Taking this truly amazing character and dragging her to the manipulative arms of a second couple male lead.... Predictable, depressing and so not very progressive at all...
That said the laughs I had, the dynamics between the family, the girls and filters make me up the score to an 8 as it is indeed a filters done wall and a blast to watch at times. Just mind the never ending episode count and moral showers during those last episodes. Heck just stop watching once the female leads bracelet is exposed. There really is not much worth watching left to see past that point.

Even funnier if you get the references from Xiang Liu (Lost you forever)
Refreshing script focusing on inner confidence. Of course, you'll have to ignore some of the logic flaws to enjoy the story.I started the story because I really enjoyed the ML and the FL in their other roles, but I didn't know if this pair would work. After 10 episodes I want to say the CP is growing slowly but it won't make it to amazing level which again it's actually more fitting for the story. The characters are fantastic, and it's meant to be go beyond that surface level they are so hot and matching just need to be together type. So, if you are into that kind of hotness overload CP then yeah..... go watch "The Best Thing" but if you are into original script and acting over hotness than you'll definitely appreciate this script.
Not ONLY the script and the leads but the supporting cast is rocking it too! Especially actress Pu Tao (who played the big brain researcher). She really played 2 completely different people so convincingly. Bestie is the kind of Bestie everyone wishes for. 2nd couple is super cute and matching. Sister, parents are awesome.
Now 21 ep in, the offbeat humor is cracking me up! I absolutely love the originality of this script. Even funnier if you watched Tan Jian Ci as Xiang Liu in Lost you forever. There are quite a few NOT so subtle references to Xiang liu. like:
1. The T shirt - FL's Bestie was wearing.
2. Bestie smashes egg to try to win a Xiang Liu Doll (Ep 6) (script writer's venting? lol)
3. Pu Tao & Wang Hong Yi were in Lost you forever
4. The Music playing in the back when Tan Jian Ci was drinking in ep 7.
5. FL's parents are watching Lost you forever on TV
Overall story's got just right amount of humor to sweet moments along with some character growth. Definitely a fun watch and worth rewatching!
Tan Jian Ci continues to pick great script that showcase his versatility as an actor. Really though with all the references to Xiang Liu, no one else can play this role!
Love Love Love!!!
