- quite a few characters were introduced at once and it took awhile to figure out who was who, there ended up being too many characters and not enough time to fully develop the relationships
- I realized they wanted mystery but it made it difficult to really support the Charlie/Babe relationship and the fact that they changed that plan from Jeff's idea to Charlie's was a mistake
- total nonsense/huge plot holes, many characters shared 1 brain cell
- cliche ghosting trope, Babe also shoved Charlie a bit too much/frequently
- the NSFW needed to be a longer (even in the uncut version) and were choppy at times
- cartoonish villains (and stupid)
- I wish they had either leaned into the omegaverse and explained it more or just omitted it entirely
- not sure how I feel about a certain character's redemption arc

AEAWOW, this BL series was an absolute trip!

Seriously, I can’t recall ever watching anything quite like it- even beyond the Boyslove universe.
It all kicked off with a sports racing star and a groupie fanboy sexy story. The vibe was all about that, you know? But then, out of nowhere, it took a wild spin into… (You need to watch it yourselves, really—NO spoilers). And guess what? I managed to dodge all spoilers, so I could savor every twist and turn to the fullest.

What did I like about it?
-This BL was so incredibly sexy and Engaging!
-I adored Pit’s character, and honestly, all the actors nailed it—perfect job, in my humble opinion.
-Tony’s Charm: That freakin’ (and devilishly handsome) guy named Tony.
-The intriguing originality of the BL and its unexpected plot twists (though some were quite predictable )

Now, let’s dive into some points for improvement:
Omegaverse Explanation: Yeah, it would’ve been nice if they’d thrown us a bone on the whole omegaverse thing.
Where Are the Ladies? I’m scratching my head here. Aren’t there any girls in this omegaverse universe? Seriously, this series won’t even pass the Bechdel test. It’s like all the girls vanished into thin air.
Tears, Tears Everywhere: I get it—emotions run high. But maybe—just maybe—a tad less crying would’ve been easier on us.

Sometimes entertaining but missed the mark completely in terms of writing

Full transparency here, I had no clue what was "Omegaverse" when I decided to watch this series. And honestly, I'm still not sure after watching the series to fully understand what encompasses this new (to me at least) genre/concept. I thought at first it was wolf related as there is mention of alpha, then they lost me totally at enigma...I think I understood from what was hinted by the show (and also some comments) that men are able to be pregnant as well, but the logistic behind it went completely over my head. All of it was a bit disconcerting but the viewer needs to roll with it without a lot of support from the script.

Therefore, my main complaint for the drama is really the lack of proper explanation regarding the lore of the universe. The power of the alphas are never really addressed in a way that make complete sense...My thought process behind that as a viewer, I should not feel the need to do extensive research on the supernatural elements that the shows try to explain to grasp what's really at stake behind the relationships between the characters. That honestly tempered my enjoyment of the watch.

The plot is totally bonkers and feels for its most part like a fanfic fever dream. There are some griping moments in the story and some hot scenes that are pretty good. But for the majority of the show, I oscillated between being entertained because it was so bad that it was good in a way...And then being totally over-it and frustrated because of the characters (often) stupid choices. None of their "plans" felt very prepared and there were a lot of undeserved / too quick forgiveness for some protagonists.

Casting-wise, the actors did an okay job...There were a lot of weaknesses (especially regarding the villains that felt super caricatural) but as none of the cast was helped by neither the scenario neither the production, I will not fault any of the actors for what was offered here. The best relationship was the secondary one but I still will be willing to watch another show featuring the main pairing Pooh - Pavel as their chemistry was pretty good. A lot of their scenes were super cringy and they went for it...That's an achievement in itself.

Production-wise, I wish the action scenes were better filmed and that the music was less basic. There were mainly one song repeating at nauseum when characters were having sex and I don't know, it set the mood with the jazzy beat but got very repetitive as well. Most of the soundtrack felt generic and not good. Product placement was not well done as well.

I would not recommend this to people unless you already know/like the "Omegaverse" genre/concept. It missed the mark for me because I don't know anything about it and even after watching the series, I'm still totally perplexed. I must admit though that there were some entertaining parts to the overall trainwreck provided by the series and I will probably try to watch season 2 by curiosity...Hoping for the writing, filmmaking, soundtrack and acting to be better now that they have soft-launched the "Omegaverse" in Thai dramas.

10/10 Review for Pit Babe – A Thai BL Masterpiece

What an absolute masterpiece! I binged all 13 episodes of Pit Babe in just two days — that's how hooked I was. From the very first episode to the last, not a single moment felt boring or out of place. It’s been a long time since a series gripped me this hard, and I couldn’t stop watching.

One thing that immediately stood out to me was the absence of any female characters — not even in supporting roles — which is honestly so refreshing. It created a uniquely immersive atmosphere, centered entirely around the relationships and dynamics between the male leads, and it worked perfectly.

The genre itself is such a breath of fresh air — car racing and garage life? Yes, please! Finally, a Thai BL that's not set in a university or high school. The adrenaline, the heat, the roaring engines — it all added a thrilling edge that elevated the story beyond the typical love-line drama.

Let’s talk about the acting: Pavel absolutely stole the show. His performance was packed with raw emotion — every time he cried, I cried. And visually? His face is just stunning to look at, expressive in a way that made every scene hit even harder. Charlie, on the other hand, brought such tenderness to the series. His unwavering love and devotion, no matter how many times Babe turned him down, made my heart ache in the best way. He was the definition of a sweet, loyal boyfriend.

The rest of the cast? Just as incredible. Every actor brought depth to their role and their visuals? Top-tier. Talented, gorgeous, and completely convincing in every scene.

As far as action BLs go, Pit Babe is right up there as one of the best I've ever seen. The blend of fast cars, high stakes, and raw emotional intensity was already amazing — and then they gave us that NC scene. Hot. Steamy. Unforgettable. 10/10.

I’m beyond excited for Season 2, which is dropping next week — but I’m not emotionally ready to watch only one episode per week. The wait is going to kill me! 😭

The ending ruined it

OK.........first off good for them to try and bring the whole Omegaverse to the TV screen, however there were a few areas of it that they didn't really go that far into, and thats why some people (i know personally) seemed to be so confused as to why Babe became so obsessed with Charlie so quickly. The show did mention that Babe doesn't like Alpha scents and Charlie doesn't have one, but other than that it kinda skipped over it and lots of people didn't see that as a reason for their relationship. The whole Way being an Enigma thing was the same. Some people didn't understand it, and it was only partially explained in the show.

Personally I loved it, I loved the way they didn't follow the stereotypes of 'tops' and 'bottoms' in gay relationships.........with Babe being perfectly comfortable being the 'bottom' in their relationship, and not one even raising an eyebrow at it. That was great. Pavel and Pooh had great onscreen chemistry, and really worked together well. It's the first time I had seen either of them on screen and i'm glad I did.
Babe was really well written and Pavel knocked it out the park. Charlie was a little less understandable, but that was his character, still Pooh did well with it. Even Nut in playing Way.......you know an actor is doing brilliantly when you want to reach into the screen and strangle their character!

This show was seriously going to be one of the best shows i'd seen in a while with its new Omegverse plot, cinematography, actors and interesting plot..........until about episode 9...........then it fell off a cliff!

I have no idea what happened after that but YIKES!
There was no reason to 'kill' Charlie except for to devastate Babe and separate our two leads for a while...........and it was WAY too long! But even then, while Charlie was 'dead' how they handled it was seriously messy. After Babe had had a breakdown weeping for the loss of his partner, Charlie was never mentioned again by anyone, except once when Charlie himself asked Jeff how Babe was dealing with his death.......it was almost like the show was going 'ok he died, and now we move on'. It didn't work right.
Then you had the Kenta/Kim/Pete/Way mess. They were setting up Way and Pete only to then set up Pete with Kenta, who they had kinda set up with Kim......they couldn't decide what they were doing. And I'm sorry but turning Kim into basically the third stooge with North and Sonic was just a waste of that character after its great introduction.
Babe's father and his magic 'antidote'.........they spent so much time on that.........but in the end nothing happened. That was pointless and just wasted time.
Charlie's 'plan' to save Babe by dying.......again nothing came of it, and it just wated time the writers could have used better by forwarding the plot, character relationships and development.
The end episodes where a mess and really let the show down!

Still I liked the show and would watch it again, simply for the chemistry of the cast and because those first episodes were well written.

Overall decent plot but poor execution. Still glad to have found Pavel and Nut

Subjective Gut Rating: 7.75

I wanted to check out this drama because I just finished watching Nut and Ping in “I’m The Most Beautiful Count” and really wanted to see Nut play a different role, and see if Ping was better in other dramas. Well, Nut did not disappoint. His role as Way in “Pit Babe” is so different from this role in the other drama, it shows he has really good acting range. Ping, unfortunately, is unable to prove me wrong as his role here as Pete is limited and couldn’t really convince me he’s a good acting.

Although it was Nut that attracted me to “Pit Babe”, it’s probably Pavel that kept me watching. Aside from Nut, he probably acted the best amongst all the young actors in this drama. Of course, he also is the best looking guy. I wanted him to look at me as lovingly as he looked at Pooh. His smitten look, smiles and expressions can kill me in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Pooh’s acting. This is my first time watching Pavel and Pooh, and playing opposite a more talented and good-looking partner, makes Pooh look even worse. It also didn’t help when I didn't quite like his character, Charlie, very much in the first few episodes.

I have not read the novel, and just reading the short synopsis of the drama on MDL doesn’t really prepare me for what I am about to watch. I have to say, I actually really like the general plot. In order not to get too spoilery (and it’s shown in the first episode, so I don’t count it as a spoiler), I didn’t know “Pit Babe” is an omegaverse. It was presented very early on that Babe is an alpha. I thought ABO Desire was the first live-action omegaverse drama, but apparently “Pit Babe” came first. But that doesn’t mean “Pit Babe” did a better job. In fact, there’s actually no explanation whatsoever aside from the special talents of some alphas. If you don’t use the term ‘alpha’, you could have fooled me and said these characters have gifts like in the other Thai drama, “Gifted”. Having said that, as I said, I like the general plot and discovering the real reason why Charlie wants to get close to Babe.

Unfortunately, the execution of the plot is not good. It lacks excitement to tell a story that could be so much more exciting. The action scenes are a mixed bag with a few good tight fights but more weak action sequences with delayed reaction from many. I was a little bored in the second half when I should be glued to my TV when the mysteries unfold. The car racing scenes are OK. You can tell it does cost a lot of money to produce this drama because of the non-stop product placements in this drama.

When it comes to romance, I am not buying it. It is hard for me to believe someone like Babe, who is mistrustful and just needs sex as a relief, will fall for someone like Charlie so quickly and easily. Charlie was quite a boring character. I guess his attractive traits are that he’s innocent and persistent? I wish Babe had put up a stronger fight and even if he starts to catch feelings, he doesn’t become a lovesick puppy so fast, as much as I love his loverboy sweet gazes. The other romance storyline is cute, I guess. Romance is supposed to sell the drama with these hot kisses and intimate scenes, but they aren’t that impactful to me. I won’t lie that I quite enjoy seeing Pavel kiss. He’s one of the few that actually moves his lips when it’s just a kiss on the cheek. I don’t mind the love triangle that much and probably because I like Pavel and Nut.

I had an OK time watching this. I did get what I was looking for, which is seeing Nut in a different role. Nut and Pavel kept me watching and I look forward to their future projects. But if you want a drama about hot car racing, this won’t quench your thirst. If you want a drama about omegaverse, “ABO Desire” is a much better drama. Want to watch Pavel and Pooh? I guess this is not a bad choice. But if you are looking for a quality BL with above average acting, engaging and exciting plot, and well-written romance, look the other way. “Pit Babe” is not what you are looking for, unfortunately.

I didn't want to watch it but

I was so skeptical about this series. I saw edits about PoohPavel and I didn't really liked it, for me they were just cringe. The I started watching "This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans" and I fell in love with SpyPon, I checked them and saw that they played in "PitBabe". I was like "okay, so many people like it, there's SpyPon, so maybe I should just give it a shot". And bruh the whole story was just amazing, so many plot twists so many characters (which you love or hate lol). Even the acting, which as I said I wasn't expecting, wasn't that bad, still for me PoohPavel were a little bit cringe, but tbh I think it was because of the script (I didn't like the mama papa thing). Overall it was a really good drama, so if you think if you should watch it or not, then just already watch it

Speedy Cars and Steamy Scenes

I’m not really into sport-themed drama, but I saw some good reviews about this series on YouTube so I thought, why not give it a try? Honestly, it was a bit boring at first, the opening scene was all about racing and I almost tuned out. But wow, I did not expect it to get so exciting a few episodes in. Every time there’s a race, my heart’s racing too literally haha.

And it’s not just about racing either. There are a lot of steamy scenes that definitely keep things interesting. When Babe and Charlie first showed up, I wasn’t really feeling it. Charlie seemed a little shady and there was no spark for me. But as the story went on, their chemistry totally grew on me.

As for Babe and Way’s storyline... man, I feel bad for Way. Like, it’s been 10 years and he still hasn’t confessed? That part felt kinda unrealistic, but hey, it made the drama more intense.

Overall, I ended up really enjoying the series. It surprised me in the best way.

Amazing, never expected to love it sooo much!

I usually rewatch a lot of stuff and I'm kinda making reviews on stuff I've seen some time ago. So here is my second review!! Leaving my first review in here because I think it's kinda cute. First of, Is babe fucking blind? Charlie is hella suspicious at first already. How can Babe let Charlie in his life so easily... brother took him to the club with him after a one night stand first meet up.. insane what. Especially with the fucking behaviour Charlie put up in episode 2 at the beginning.

Tbh I wished they added some omega's or something to the whole omega verse plot. It kinda feels like there's only alpha's in the whole universe. Like is everyone alpha or what helppp. Also uhh, I understand this is a Bl but where are all the woman at? Not even a side character that was a woman. No hate.

Tbh I just wished to watch this for the first time again. I know all the spoilers now but It's extremely nice to watch it without. I remember being super invested in this. Would I recommend it? Not to everyone, I think this is one of the bl's you just NEED to like when it comes to the genre.

I personally think this is a very interesting series especially with the amount of plot turns.

with this one, I was very unsure if I'd like it. I don't hate the genre with cars, but it's such a common genre I was kinda pushing this one away due to it. To be fair I hadn't read the tags good, I didn't know this was omega verse, I personally love omegaverse but if it's not your thing, I don't recommend watching it.

For me, I think I REALLY liked this Bl because the whole plot is sooo different than other Bl's. Alpha x Alpha, Is quite rare and the whole drama about the dad and the adopted children was also really original. Overall I really enjoyed it because nothing was to be expected, it was really original. Normally I prefer silly bl's over serious once, but I'll make an exception on this one.

Only weak point was the racing, it was filmed extremely good and it being it their made it also more enjoyable, but the races were just bad, the cars looked like they were driving 20km per hour. Besides that, I loved this, deffo gonna rewatch!!!

Before watching:

Going into this with nothing but the image that Pavel has on Tiktok so I’m interested to see what boy can do when he isn’t trying to fuck me through the camera in a short-form video format.

After watching:

The holy trinity: Pretty face, slutty waist, AND insane acting skill??? Okay, Mr. Pavel, I see you.
(Also turns out he is always trying to fuck through the camera no matter the video format)

Acting:

PAVEL damn boy, okay okay, I see you. Truly a star through and through. I don’t think there is anyone else in this world who could play Babe. Man out here killing like every damn scene in the show. I did not expect to cry at all but holy shit Pavel portrayed devastation so well I couldn’t hold by my tears. Boy ripped them right outta me. He can act out annoyance, anger, happiness, sex, sadness, etc. So impressive BRAVO. Now… I really wanted to like Pooh but idk if it was the writing/characterization or the directing or he just doesn’t yet have the skills to portray complex emotions but like… boy gave me little to nothing out there. Especially when you put him next to Pavel, it’s a crazy stark difference between them. I’m looking forward to seeing if he’s different in another role/improves in season 2. Nut was so good as Way. The breakdown scene in the car was fantastic. Sailub also did great especially in the scene where Alan catches Dean, that was so good. Banger casting for good criers in here. S Vorarit was a good villain too. Rest of the supporting cast was solid overall. Pavel definitely takes the cake for sure.

Writing:

Pretty good stuff right here. I liked the premise a lot. I am indeed an A/B/O reader and have been for a long time so I enjoyed seeing a unique spin on omegaverse play out in a drama setting. There were some seriously solid wording choices made by the screenwriters. Pavel’s reaction to Charlie accident, death, funeral, etc. was absolutely perfect. Not overdone, not underdone, just mf right. There are 3 major issues that I have with the story, though. 1- You have GOT to give me a better reason as to why Way stuck with pops for 10 years if you want me to care that he’s dying. “Papa said it would all be over if you just let me impregnate you once, pretty please if you say no I’ll try and force you and then try to manipulate you into forgiving me” is NOT going to cut it. 2- I needed a better reunion and more time between the main couple in that last episode. Like, why is the second couple even here rn..? I wanted to finally see a scene where Charlie shows emotion seeing how Babe has been/how he reacts to Charlie’s return. I wanted tender, passion, and then a touch of sensual. All you gave me was a dirty little locker room tryst and a double date picnic. Like huh? I needed more. 3 - I could count on one hand the amount of scenes with women in it and they’re all extras lol like that’s CRAZY. Like, not even a sister? Are there no female alphas? I need an infographic on the genders/societal structure in this story.

Chemistry/Romance/Kissing:

Hmmm… It’s hard to gauge this because Pavel seems like the type to have the ability to make every scene partner have chemistry on screen but… I gotta be honest and say Pooh was not giving the same energy here. I mean that in more of an emotional depth way of chemistry because obviously they were properly touchy-feely and cute in a realistic and lovely manner. It was similar to Smart and Boom in Top Form, like Boom was so absolutely amazing and Smart was just kinda there for most of the show. This story works as a romance pretty well, I enjoyed it, I just definitely craved a but more from the ending. Kissing was so solid, dude. Good work out there, boys. I love a show that actually has the couple kiss regularly throughout the series like an actual couple would. Some of these shows are like, “yeah, so they kiss once every two months and occasionally on holidays” but Pavel and Pooh were out here giving proper affection and making it look like they really desired to show it to eachother.

NC Scenes:

Well, shit, my guy. I mean, in hindsight I should’ve expected no less from Mr. Casanova himself. Shit was sensual, bro. Passion, energy, desire, these two dudes were damn good with it. I liked how the scenes were shot and put together too. A mixture of a play-by-play and artsy approach to a sex scene. Pavel’s expressions had my jaw on the floor, I was giggling and in shock. He went all in fr.

Side Couples:

No thank you. They were not it. Honestly could have done without any of them. If I were to write this, I would have started hinting at the Pete x Kenta backstory much earlier and played off of that with them having an emotional journey together as a side couple instead of whatever the hell we were given in this show.

Music/SFX:

Music was like okay ig. Not great, overall not terrible. That song in the last NC scene felt like it was there by mistake.. SFX were mostly fine, a bit aggressive with the punch sounds and they forgot to add the metallic sound of the pipe hitting the ground which was kinda funny.

Production/Cinematography:

Great work, I loved the inclusion of actual race scenes and the crash scene was real good too. Loved the shooting locations, the whole production was really well thought out and executed. Solid cinematography throughout. Everything really came together well.

Overall, it was an enjoyable show. Pavel is amazing, I will put some respect on the mf name. Could’ve used a tad bit more in the end, but I’m still looking forward to watching season 2.

The omegaverse is kind of important to the plot, but you do not need to worry about the normal pitfalls. There are no omegas or even betas mentioned. The alphas aren't wolfy or animalistic. it seems to just be a way to explain why one has heightened senses.

The description makes this show seem simple but the plot has many winding turns and surprising twists. I cried twice. Try not to expose yourself to spoilers because this show is an amazing experience when you're hanging on every word to uncover the truth.

It was hard not to fall in love with the characters and their arcs. The actors did a pretty good job, especially our main leads.

The music did nothing good or bad for me. If you told me there was no soundtrack, I probably would believe you since I was so sucked into the story. Gotta go rewatch it right now.

No loose strings. You do not need to watch the second season if you do not want to.
