A delightful and uplifting journey.
This is my first review. I am really surprised to see that there aren't any reviews here. This drama truly deserves more hype, which is why I felt compelled to share my thoughts. If you're fed up with the cliche or serious plots and are looking for something that's light-hearted but still engaging, this drama is perfect for you. While it touches on various crime stories, it doesn't get too heavy or intense. It's really fun to see how a dog and an elderly man team up to crack murder cases.
The tale of friendship and family. We often highlights the challenges faced by the youth, but we rarely focus on the struggles of the elderly. What's their pov? It’s fascinating to see how they navigate their own difficulties. One day, when we’re older, we might find ourselves relating to their experiences.A big shout out to the director and scriptwriter for selecting this type plot. Some stories bring us joy and laughter, while others touch our hearts and evoke sadness.
Here are some of my favorite moments that made me laugh: The award for funniest character definitely goes to Lee Gi Dong and Im Chae Moo. My absolute favorite scene was the carrot screen, and entire 8 episode (hilarious and unexpected)
Everyone's performances were fantastic.
I think the drama's weak point was that some of the crime plotlines just weren't well done or engaging for me.
Overall it's a feel good and heart warming drama. It's definitely worth your time, so give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.
Personal ratings : 8.3/10

A Warm Hearted Comedy Drama that try too hard
The comedy drama started strong with unique premise. Veteran actors became detective in small island with the help of talking dong Sophie.Earlier cases were good, fast pace , with a sprinkle of the characters friendship and life.
But soon the writer try to throw every story ideas that she/he can think of.
The cases become shorter and sloppier and so much easier to solve. They even made accidental death by animal in one of the case. The murders confess so easily or easily caught.
The relationship.become much complicated with Makjang story lines.
The love interest between Soon Jae son and Dong Gun daughter dominates the romance department and very unnecessary to strech it too long. One of the weakest point of this drama.
The relationship between the female cop and the cafe worker just go nowhere and dissappear at ep 8 or 9? And appear again fpr 1-2 minutes at end of ep 12.
Overall the chemistry and friendship of the veteran actors shine the brightest here. The boy that appear randomly helping the elder was not bad. But he dissapear like magic near end of series.
7,5 out of 10. Could be much better.

Not Enough Dog...but that's just me (hahah)
This is a family friendly comedy. Easy binge when you need something light, but not fluffy.I won't restate the plot of story line, since others have already. This series is uses the vignette trope to focus on each of the cast members, but does it in a way that doesn't separare each member from the community they are in.
What I loved:
The Dog, and his "network" of informants.
Park Sung Woong: that man has range. He plays a clumsy (if not outright immature) adult and is FLAWLESS at it.
What I liked:
I could come in and out of the series without being lost.
Story line isn't complex, but there are a few twists that are unexpectdly funny.
The uniqueness of the friends & the value of friendship
the focus on older people in a young person's / youth-obesessed culture ( HINT: I would love to see more of that)
