First Impression 1/12

First Kanaphan and Khaotung Thanawat, what the fuck can I even say? Seeing them together again felt like a homecoming. The moment they appeared on my screen I couldn’t help but scream. They have this unparalleled chemistry that no one else in the industry quite achieves. I missed them so much and they absolutely delivered. Watching them reunite reminded me of why they have become icons in the BL world. My kings are back hehe.

First really balances his rough, edgy exterior with just the right amount of vulnerability and Khao as Bison is HOLY HELL, he nails it. His portrayal is soft but with a charm that makes you understand why Kant couldn’t resist him the first moment he laid eyes on him lmao. Bison gives me mystery and innocence vibes and it’s all because Khaotung knows how to work the smallest expressions, the subtlest body language, to make him (and us) obsessed with him.

PLUS their chemistry is beyond words, I deadass think they have this almost telepathic way of syncing with each other and it’s a joy to watch. Also GMMTV is known for keeping things fairly tame but Jojo decided to break that mold (as he should) because the sex scenes are unapologetically steamy and while it’s bold, it’s not gratuitous, it feels organic and I love it tbh.

But I won’t lie, I went in expecting something darker, more brooding with a heavy focus on crime but the series leans much more on the lighter side. However I don’t even mind. The romance is well done and that is enough to keep me intrigued but I do hope they explore more of the crime angle as the episodes go on, but for now, I’m happy to sit back and watch First trying to woooo Khao lmao.

On the side, I will say I'm not very familar with JoongDunk but their storyline definitely has potential. There is something interesting about their dynamic and I’ll hold off on fully forming an opinion until I see how it plays out in the later episodes.

Tempting

The first episode of *The Heart Killers* is an impressive start, full of excitement, mystery, and romance. Kant, played by First Kanaphan, stands out as a bold and edgy tattoo artist drawn into a dangerous mission. Khaotung Thanawat as Bison is equally captivating, balancing innocence and mystery in a way that keeps every scene engaging.

Joong Archen as Fadel and Dunk Natachai as Style add interesting dynamics to the story, making their characters feel fresh and intriguing. The storytelling is smooth, the visuals are stunning, and the chemistry between the characters is amazing.

With 11 episodes left, the show promises to deliver even more twists and emotions. It’s an exciting start that leaves you ready for what’s coming next.

Why settle for romance when you can throw in a little murder on the side?

Hearts Killers

After the success of Only Friends, Jojo is back at it, sticking to his strengths with another mature rom-com. This time, he brings us Hearts Killers, starring not one but two GMMTV ships: FirstKhao and JoongDunk.

It’s hard to fully judge the acting based on just one episode, but a few things are already clear.
FirstKhao continue to prove they’re versatile, talented, and can generate chemistry like it’s their part-time job. Meanwhile, JoongDunk are stepping into slightly more mature roles, and while Dunk’s acting still teeters into “hmm, questionable” territory at times, you can see the improvement. Particularly in his scenes with First—though, to be fair, First could probably have chemistry with a mop. Credit where it’s due: Jojo’s strategy of dressing Dunk to the nines to distract the audience worked brilliantly on certain fans (and possibly some unsuspecting reviewers). Good editing also plays its part, smoothing out some of the rougher edges.

The story itself is a modern reimagining of The Taming of the Shrew, giving us an overarching plot with an added bonus: Khao and Joong moonlighting as killers. Yes, you read that right—killers. Because why settle for romance when you can throw in a little murder on the side?

The first episode comes out swinging with a strong start, but it’s too early to tell if the momentum and quality will hold up. Will this be a steady climb, or are we about to take a nosedive into Wasted Potential Land? Time will tell.

One thing is certain: this show had a budget, and it flaunts it. From the polished aesthetics to the careful attention to detail, it’s clear that Hearts Killers received a level of care and investment that some other GMMTV projects can only dream of. For that alone, I’m grateful—there’s nothing worse than watching a good idea drowned in low-budget awkwardness.

All in all, it’s a strong start, and I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. Murder, romance, and fan-favorite ships—what’s not to love? Well, unless you’re the shrew getting tamed. Then maybe not so much.

Review will be updated as series progress.

It's Crazy

After the huge success of Only Friends , First and Khaotung are back . It's difficult to judge the show by watching only first episode but if the starting is well then the ending must be well .

Again First & Khaotung nailed their roles . Their acting skills are improving day by day . Most eye catching part is their visuals , it's really eye candy . Dunk's acting is not bad but he needs to focus more . The story line is engaging and it's really unique from other traditional school type of stories . Khaotung is doing different type of characters and his expressions for every single scenes , are likable . We know GMMTV background music is always worst , same in this series . The music is too loud and Dunk sometime screamed loud which is kinda unlikable .
This drama is funny , after watching so many emotional dramas , this is going to be our medicine .

Overall we are hoping for the best . Watch it , this series is really good .

Hamburgers & First Impressions

Grab your plates children, good food has arrived, and I am not talking about the burgers. Kant is a snitch for the police, Bison is a cheeky hitman, Fadel is a moody hitman who loves cooking, and Style is a gremlin mechanic who wants an old car. Between the four of them, someone is about to get burn, and it's not the hamburgers!

Listen, this drama is a recipe for disaster, and I am SAT. STANDING. Heck, I'm even KNEELING, cuz my Wednesdays are about to be sooo good. This first episode had me hooked. As someone who waited forever for this, I was crossing my fingers that this didn't end up being a giant disappointed. Thankfully, FirstKhao and JoongDunk delivered, and I'm so happy all that waiting paid off.

I kept grinning throughout the episode. To be honest, I knew FirstKhao were going to deliver cuz those two are allergic to playing subpar characters. JoongDunk on the other hand, I saw Hidden Agenda, my hope for them was literally on the floor. So shame on me, cuz they have grown so much, and they were good.

Kant & Bison
The moment Bison started doing his little inlove-ness-ness cute thing with the tissue like a disney maiden in a musical, I went... 'Peoples, we have lost a brother! That hitman, just got hit by cupid's arrow.' No, but, already episode 1 and these two are talking about 'boyfriend' and doing the devil's tango. Kant out there talking about: 'It was so good, I passed out afterwards.' CHILD?? I mean, I saw that peg in the trailer, but damn, Sharon, that good huh? Khao a better person than me though, cuz after that butt grab, I’d have asked First like: ‘So, what are we?’

I love Bison, the moment he said 'thank you for the unsolicited advice, I knew he was gonna be one of my favs. Lol at him during that karaoke so they had to move! I feel bad for him though, cuz it seems Kant is gonna destroy his heart completely being the snitch that he is. Snitches do get stitches, so yeah, it's gonna be interesting to see how it all plays out. As always, FirstKhao's chemistry is up the roof.

Fadel & Style
I am loving the dynamic between these two. Fadel is like one of those people who are like: 'Dear dairy, I went out today, and the humans are still there. I hate everything.' And Style comes off as one of those people who pets random dogs on the street and talk with everyone in the park. Him dancing by himself was such a mood. They gonna drive each other insane, in a good way, and I can't effing wait. When Style showed his tank-top, I knew he was going to be annoying as hell, and immediately I went, yes, more please, Fadel is gonna lose his mind, and I am here for it. JoongDunk were good in their roles, and I am happy to see them bring the characters to life.

Style going to hit on someone for an old car, and then getting thrown outside had me on the floor. He lucky he didn't get stabbed. Though he just might when Fadel finds out he's only after him cuz he wants a car. Poor dude. I am looking forward to seeing how that plays out, and how they'd end up together. The chase is gonna be so sweet.

PLOT: Interesting concept, brothers hitmen, getting tangled with two best-friends, one an informant, and one just in love with himself. It can only be chaos, and I am here for all the drama. I am looking forward to how the plot unfolds and what would become of their relationships.

We are starting with 9 stars, let's see how it goes from here. I can't wait for the rest of the episodes.

Enjoy the good food people!

First Impression: The Heart Killers

Overall: I was entertained and appreciated the different premise so I'm starting with 9. 12 episodes about 1 hour each (uncut). Airing uncut on iQIYI https://www.iq.com/play/2elmpcfm17c?lang=en_us&sh_pltf=4 ; airing uncut? on GagaOOLala in Germany, UK & Australia - US starting Dec 21st https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/4985/the-heart-killers-2024 ; airing uncut? on GMMTV's YouTube channel not in the US, Canada or Japan https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLszepnkojZI6Bo6a1yZ8iqQTM_A7AiYxQ&si=R4ODeKuWn7AV-SQh (I will use a VPN to check if Gaga and YT are the cut or uncut version, episode 1 on iQIYI was 1hr4m27s)

Content Warnings: murder, blood, manipulation, non con picture taking, blackmail/coercion

What I Liked
- an engaging start
- unique premise (non school setting and actors get to play characters closer to their real age)
- flirting/physical intimacy
- styling

Room For Improvement
- I've never seen a mechanic with that much grease on their face/body before, felt like a fictional way to say "this person is an auto mechanic"
- some of the sound effects/background music
- a couple of odd mouth/face close up shots
- to be determined if they can balance the humor and serious parts well
- (neutral) there's some nonsense stuff but it doesn't bother me right now
