I think they are similar cause both have that "summer/spring" vibe, both have a school setting even through IIWY is set in high school and IHS is set in uni and they are both are lgbtq+.

People might disagree with me, but I think they're kinda similar cause they both have a "summer/spring" vibe, both have (kind off) a school setting and as you may have noticed both are bls.
(but ml in NLMG are not disable)

The two shows tackle the characters traumas in delicate and sensible manners. Both shows are healing dramas that have food as the focal point of their first meeting and heavily symbolizes their affection and respect for each other.

Slice of life, an unlikely match and a whole lot of fluff! Perfect to binge and get immersed in the vast enviroments and beauitful cinematography

Whoa, I can't believe someone hasn't made this recommendation. Anyway, both are romance dramas involving a main lead who had experienced hearing loss. Both dramas portrayed how an acquired hearing loss affects not just one's day-to-day life but also relationships and their preference to communicate.

i already recommended the movie version before but now there's a remake of Hidamari ga kikoeru and yes, they're both healing dramas with such a nice athmosphere and characters

A series that has marked the history of JDramas: an incredible star-studded cast that put together five of the most famous young actors of that time; an emotional and enthralling plot; bonds that matter: friends, lovers, families.

Plot: a once-promising violinist becomes deaf, a young boy tries to help her during everyday life, they fall in love... but there are ups&downs and obstacles.

A must-watch for any drama lover.

Both stories involve a male lead who suffers from a progressive illness that leaves him impaired (visually/hearing), and he then falls in love with his support worker.

Both are Japanese BLs with a school setting and lots of yearning from one of the MLs who is secretly in love with his close friend, the other ML. Both couples are made up of a serious, quiet ML and an outgoing, louder ML
