Gumiho season is back !

***No Tail to Tell***

Engaging story with a perfect balance of mystery and emotional depth. Calm, well-paced storytelling that feels natural and meaningful. Strong character development without unnecessary drama. Beautiful cinematography and fantasy background music.
Kim Hye-yoon delivers a powerful and emotionally nuanced performance. Her expressions and body language convey complex emotions effortlessly. She brings depth, authenticity, and relatability to her character. Her acting adds strong impact to the story and elevates the overall drama

Overall, Kim Hye-yoon’s exceptional acting is a major highlight and a key reason the drama feels so compelling.

New face of gumiho, the strong type one!

I think the beginning of the drama depicts as how it will end, we will never know until we finish watch what will happen to siyeol and eunho cause it somehow looks tragic, but the comedy and the interaction of the characters confuses me on how will the story finally will unfold.. eunho has been avoiding not becoming human all her life but what will actually happen when siyeol exist? The first 2 episode already gave intense story, the writer said the 3rd ep will start the actual story, so I can't wait!

OK, but not a memorable story.

April 2026.
I watched this as it aired ~ definitely not one I could binge watch, and tbh, it hasn't been memorable.
I didn't dislike it, but I wasn't wowed either.
Nice cast, and an interesting twist on the usual Gumiho stories.
I found the second Gumiho's storyline (and character), to be weak and somewhat pointless to an extent.
I didn't find anything particularly funny, moving, or gripping.
Not bad, certainly not perfect, but worth a look, perhaps as a filler.

Fun, and Surprisingly Emotional

For a 12 episode run, it wrapped up surprisingly well, though not perfectly. The plot, while not super original, was still suspenseful and had me hooked. The leads’ dynamic was hilarious and tender, and their acting chemistry was obvious. I do wish the romance aspect was given more time to marinate, but for the short time they were given the leads brought their weight to the emotional aspect of it; if it weren’t for their acting abilities, I don’t think it would have worked.

What sets this drama apart from other human-creature romances is their handling of life and death. While things wrap up nicely, the overarching theme seems to center on living life to the fullest, no matter how it ends. No amount of trying to change it or worry is better than enjoying what you have.

Just finished this drama and I feel a little disappointed with the plot development. The writing could've been little better and more logical.
The plot is predictable where either lead has to be killed by the other. Ther wasn't anything new or unique. Only the soccer part was little fresh but not much emphasis was given to it.

The cast did their best, it's just that the story was lacking. It didn't have a strong start but towards the end it got engaging. The romance was decent, not the most compelling at first, but it improved towards the end.

I don't know why are people hating on Hye Yoon, she just did her best as Eun Ho and i don't think anyone could've been more suitable for this role. Talking about chemistry, it's just that the story direction wasn't strong enough to show intensity between the leads.

I would love if it had more episodes, and the plot could make more sense.
Things I feel could be added/improved-
* More focus on Kang Si Yeol making his local football team better after the switch and achieving success
* Geum Ho's ( eight tailed fox) romance with the member of Kang Si yeol's fc should have been shown
* Unnecessary 2 long leaps of 9 years
* There should have been more episodes to explain things better
* Purpose of Eun Ho's immortality and her deals with rich people
* What happens to Eun Ho when Kang Si Yeol died due to old age

Overall it was a little disappointing, the makers and story did injustice to such talented and gorgeous leads. I was excited since last year but this isn't what I expected
Also I hope people won't hate on the leads unnecessarily because they did well and don't compare their chemistry to leads in Lovely Runner because both have different plot and all dramas can't be the same. People need to understand this

Nice chemistry! Fun and cute watch, nothing serious.

Enjoyed the dynamic very much, they did a great job with the characters, the chemistry was really felt. The plot got me intrigued. Nice start. Although, for some episodes, especially the last ones, felt very dragged + the pacing was not good. I just wanted to be done with it you know... (really my only complain)
It's not a show to take entirely seriously, there clearly were some plot holes or aspect that could have made the plot easily better imo, BUT personally didn't bother me that much it was a very fun and cute watch mostly.
I agree with the ones saying that the acting skills weren't the best, but it was barely a problem for this show, i feel. It was bearable.
I heard people saying they didn't like the FL attitude/personality, which I really do not agree with, bc it was very understandable with what she's been through with her best friend and it's not like she owed anything to humans, she's a being with supernatural powers and she'll use them as much as she likes, it's not like she was purposely hurting people + she definitely got a little character development progressively. AND their (the fl and ml) personalities really worked together which is why I do not complain!

this is amazing

I love everything about this drama: the actors, the plot, the music, the chemistry! My eyes, ears, brain, and heart are enjoying it immensely. I'm amazed and delighted at how they managed to blend both humor and drama so seamlessly into this drama! You could turn it into quotes and memes!
What images the fox has! A gumiho who relies only on her magical powers and a man who relies only on himself and stubbornly pursues his goal no matter what! It's an interesting and dynamic story.

Not your ordinary gumiho story

I am not a fan of romcom or fantasy genre but i starting watching this because im attracted with the idea of MZ gumiho that's out of ordinary portrayed in common tell. So far the story is fast paced, catchy and colorful fashionista while making people anticipating the development of all characters. Im anticipating more plot development as it is only 2 episodes coming out. Definitely im seated!

Why are these episodes a little masterpiece?

The originality of the concept. Abandoning the "kumiho dreams of becoming human" template is a stroke of genius. Yeon‑ho does not crave humanity, but she is forced to find it, and this creates a unique conflict.

The chemistry of the actors. Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon are the perfect duo. Their interactions are full of energy: from snarky exchanges to moments of vulnerability.

The balance of genres. Fantasy, romance, comedy and drama are intertwined so harmoniously that not a single element outweighs it.

Attention to detail. From Yong‑ho's costumes to the symbols of the amulets, every element works for the atmosphere.

An intrigue without spoilers. The plot gives hints, but does not reveal all the cards, forcing you to guess.: what will happen next to the fate of the heroes?
The first two episodes of "No Tail To Tell" are a celebration for fans of high—quality fantasy. It has everything: charismatic characters, witty dialogues, a beautiful picture and a deep thought about what it means to be human. The drama doesn't just entertain — it makes you think, laugh and worry.

Final assessment: 10/10. An absolute hit that is worth watching for anyone who appreciates a creative approach to mythology and sparkling humor. Don't miss it!

No TALE to Tell

Trash show
Theres really no TALE to tell cos the plot is so bad. Acting is bad.
No chemistry between the leads
Female lead is annoying. Her voice is irritating to hear. All she did was to scream at male lead. She wanted to be cheon song yi (My Love from the star) so bad but failed lol. She doesnt have the aura that screams "bad ass energy". Idk the acting is flat too
Slow and dumb male lead. That guy cant act.
