A Delightful Sweet Fluffy Romance

If you want a romance that is sweet from the beginning till the end, this is it. Since their first meeting in episode 1, our main couple holds hands, sleeps together and hardly gets separated. There’re hardly any moments they are not together, and when they are not, they miss each other dearly and cannot wait to get back into each other’s arms again. This drama is easy to watch with very little angst though the last few episodes become rather tensed. All the characters are lovable, an antagonist that is revealed from the beginning, and an ending everyone loves.

Ji Dinglan (Wang Xingyue) is a prince born with no taste buds nor emotions. He cannot feel pain, happiness nor sadness. No one knows about his condition because if exposed, he is deemed a demon and would be persecuted. He becomes a hermit, changes his name to Mo Qingchen (meaning strange light dust), and lives far away from the palace and everyone else. When he accidentally touches Lin Chi (Bu Guanjin), all his senses come back temporarily. For the first time in his life, he experiences a new world which he has never known before. Since then, he attaches himself to Lin Chi and they quickly fall in love and inseparable from each other. They also realize they can transfer their power to and fro via each other’s tears. Lurking under this romance is Ji Dinglan’s ambitious and vindictive half-brother, Ji Dingyue (Nie Zihao). Time and time again he tries to expose Mo Qingchen’s secret, and he tries to hurt the couple to achieve his goal. Again and again he fails because of the unyielding love and devotion Mo Qingchen has for Lin Chi and she him; both do not hesitate to sacrifice for the other.

I have watched some of Wang Xingyue's previous dramas and find him an excellent actor. This drama is his first drama as a main lead, and his acting here is believable and again outstanding. At the tender age of 19, Wang Xingyue has a chisel good look and mature in his demeanor. He has a great potential ahead of him. Bu Guanjin on the other hand is a lot older than Wang Xingyue, but the pairing doesn’t look awkward because the couple has great chemistry together. Her acting is natural without trying too hard making the Lin Chi character very lovable. As with most young actors, Wang Xingyue is not stingy with his kisses. Nie Zihao has been acting as antagonists for several dramas I have watched. He has a very good-looking face with a sliver of hideousness in it and he is perfect for this tormented role as Ji Dingyue whom I’ve come to empathize. His acting here is applaudable.

I like the second couple and all the side characters. The acting by the whole cast is solid with an intact script and commendable editing. The background props look authentic and the costumes are carefully designed and made. The official soundtracks are some of the most impressive ballads in recent historical dramas.

My Verdict

This is such a delightful drama that has a very clear plot with very few visible plot holes or flaws. The flow is good and the pace is on spot. Despite the couple spending a lot of time conveying their love and admiration for each other, this doesn’t feel draggy because there are other things happening simultaneously. The acting is solid by the whole cast. The comedy is light and dialogues are humorous. Though rather predictable, I find this drama a great de-stressor that gives us a make-believe world that perhaps such love and devotion do exist. If you’re a romance buff and want something easy to watch with no angst, this is it. This is a story well told and deserves a bravo!

Don't miss it!

Well, at first, I didn't expect much from this drama and watching it just to kill the time. But unexpectedly I enjoyed it, a lot. The male lead, I watched him for the first time in One and Only and even I don't like his role a the crown prince, but I like his acting. And I was so shocked when I knew he's only 19. Omo!! He's going to be big someday I bet. And I hooked with his role as Mo Qing Chen, the 2nd Prince who exiled himself from the palace because of his inability to feel or to taste anything. And I love the FL also. Instead damsel in distress formula that almost every drama follow, Lin Chi is a clever and witty girl. And I love love love the ML and FL interaction, their chemistry is over flowing. You would never know there's quite an age gap between them (ML 19 and FL 27). They're sooooo lovey dovey.
But I kind of sorry to Prince Rui. Yes, he is bad, but he is kind of lonely also. And (I forgot his name) the one who play the role of Prince Rui, I watched 3 of his drama and his role is always like this.
Overall, this drama is worth to watch. And yes, it's a happy ending drama. I myself replayed a few scenes of Mo Qing Chen and Lin Chi. Love this couple.

Couples Outfits?

Love the "couple outfit" of the leads. More times than not they were very matchy matchy, maybe a not so subtle remind of how in sync the leads are. It doesn't take this pair more than a few episodes to realize they are meant to walk the same path in life, and the next if they are lucky enough.

The male lead, Wang Xing Yue, at tender age of 19 as of the airing of "Your Sensibility My Destiny", shows great promise. He is not just another pretty face, but actually has mad skills. I look forward to seeing more of him in future dramas.

There is great chemistry between him and his leading lady, Bu Guan Jin. You would never know she is 8 years his senior. Mo Qing Chen's teasing and Lin Chi's taking the bait makes a viewer like me fall instantly in love with this pair.

This definitely a must watch drama.

A refreshing new storyline

I read a few reviews before writing mine i have finished and i loved that is was a refreshing story happened was an accident due to his inability to sence pain and his strength and in that case she also returned the favor to him. of a different caliber. Someone mentioned abuse in their view and i disagree for whatThe cast did a great job and i found a few new faces for me to follow. The ML for 19yo (i still cant believe it) did an exceptional job with the FL in hand there chemistry from the beginning was rocky then as they came to understand each other a full blown love and partnership for life. Based on a astronomical phenomenon an ominous boy would be born into the palace and will shake up the kingdom and bring catastrophe to the world as he wouldn't have his 5 sences and become a demon. In order to stop it the Imperial preceptor recommended to kill the child and mother the king was furious and had him killed. After his son was born his mother-the empress took care of trying not to have him exposed and keep this secret quite from everyone and so he was sent away. Now 23yrs later ML still cant taste, feel, smell and lost his martial arts power due to Dr. Lin who had been helping him. That was 10yrs ago by using various herbs to help him control his angry - inner power to not hurt others until one day everyone in the Lin household was supposly killed. The ML was supposed to have done it and so the Empress had the case closed as bandits were caught. No one was aware that they had 2 daughters Lin Chi was out picking herbs with her teacher/master Zhuang chen(her dad BF) who raiser her with Qiu wan & Du ruo now the chief constable. They have been wandering around looking for her missing sister not sure if dead or alive and getting into trouble for defrauding people, take from rich to poor and jailbreak. Now that they are in Nanlu where Du ruo works and is always trying to protect them especially FL until one day she broke out of prison and while escaping her master and wan'er are waiting with the carriage. She see the carriage and jumps in only to realize oops its the wrong one and the owner ML-Mo qing chen catches her and realized he can smell her hair. He then proceeded to take her home and she hit the JACKPOT as he was wealthy, good looking and young, but he keep holding her hand as he ate/drank he could taste, smell he could do everything around him except for controlling his strength. On the outside her master and wan'er are trying to rescue her when they setup a fake injury accident and meet the 3rd Prince Ji Ding Lan with his kind heart takes them in even knowing there fraud. Once everything is made clear between them and with his help they get into ML manor and once together they see the FL is ok, but the ML needs her to stay, but his guard ling shu explained he has to let her make the choice stay or go. She leaves for awhile and works with. Du ruo to find clues on her missing sister still, but she start to feel bad for the ML and goes back with strick rules on what he can or cant do or touch as they try to figure out why she can make his sences come alive. The other problem is that she know his secret and the Empress finds out and decides to make her disappear for life and throw her into the pond he feel something off and figures it out and rushes to say her. Upon rescuing her he promises that no matter what he'll always protect her and be his first priority and with that they argue. He goes to hug her and she lands on top of him crying and you see a tear go into his eye and as she runs away all of a sudden he say he can smell and fell and she says she cant so they switch places. Both excited and have no idea how it happened she now loose everything, but gains his strength and they work together to try and find an answer. The story continues of them going back and forth, but now a new player has show his card and that is the 1st prince Ji Ding hue who blams ML & Empress for his mothers and Grandparents death as they knew he was/is a demon monster. His life mission is to prove that his family predictions is true and to uncover the secret and give back there riteful name in history and get rid of the demon
From here i could go on and on, but i need to stop. This drama will continue on 1)them trying to find the cure 2)finding her sister 3)trying to find out who murder the Lin Family 4)Ding hue unconvincing the Secret 5)whos behind the murderer and so much more. It was a fun and exciting drama never ever a boring part. I binged watch in 2/3days. A MUST WATCH IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT ? An ending that answers all

Light and easy to watch

The plot of having no senses at all such as sense of smell, taste and touch etc. is a refreshing idea to me. It is very easy to watch and follow through. first half of the show focuses a lot on the romance aspect between the main leads and they definitely do have chemistry. FYI the male lead actual age is 8 years younger than the FL but it does not bother me at all. They look cute together. Its my first time watching Bu Guan Jin as the main lead and I'm impressed by her acting. I especially found it cute and funny at her exaggerated "crying" act.

The comedic part of the drama is also very well done which often bring laughter and smiles. FL is especially good at acting embarrassed which i really like hahaha. Overall there is nothing much to complain about this show. It is a good watch between angsty drama to calm your heart. They separated only once through out the drama because the ML actually is the one that "killed" her parents. I like it as it only took less than 2 episode to clear the misunderstanding and they are back as the loving couple again.Their love throughout the show is strong and trust me you will definitely smile at their loving moments especially when the ML teases her.

The ending however is kind of abrupt which make me think there is another episode left which made me double check and realise it actually ended. Supporting cast is not bad as well but the main focus of the show is the 2 leads. This show failed to keep my interest level high throughout the show but it is a good enough drama. I will wait for Dear Diary as i would like to watch another of Bu Guan Jin show. Her acting shine in this drama, and male lead did a great job as well.

kudos

The story is quite similar to Love and Redemption

When I first watched the series, the first thing I noticed was the male lead is because it is quite a refreshing one seeing a new face. Both of the leads were quite a new face for me but the acting did not show they are new. The story as I mentioned in the headline was quite similar to "Love and Redemption." But you can just see it as a "younger" or a "youth" version due to the vibes from actors. The series is still great to watch.

Happy Romance

I loved this story. The actors did a phenomenal job - the ML is going to make a name for himself; I could watch him all day! The chemistry between the lead couple was magic, and really, all the couples had great chemistry. There was an even mix of romance, evil villains, tragedy, and a little comedy thrown in for good measure.
The story was simple but kept you interested (maybe because of the great acting) - and that little twist at the end. Loved it! I especially liked that the FL was quirky but not silly and brainless - all the female characters were strong.
This was great for weekend watching, and I most likely will rewatch it at some point.
Loved loved loved the baby!!

Interesting storyline

Rough start, but improved a lot!

The male lead has no senses, and after an accidental meeting with the female lead, discovered that he could feel and smell while touching her. He practically forced her to stay by his side, and thus the scriptwriter had to build uup the story and at parts, seemed draggy. (funny but not rally funny). The overall story started to improve as the main leads fell for each other and had to overcome many obstacles to stay together.

On the overall was quite a refreshing storyline, had a happy ending albeit an abrupt one. ?

What I liked
- cast and acting were spot on, especially the main leads and villain
- soundtrack and ost were ok
- the "familial" bond among the FL, her master and her fellow disciples
- production quality
- costume designs and attention to detail

What I didn't enjoy
- it was over so soon and abruptly ?
- wasted too many scenes on second male lead and his indecisiveness towards the second female lead

This is a nice fantasy/romance drama to watch while waiting for a great one to come. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life; the drama has a nice OST, and the chemistry among the female lead, her master, and friends, is really nice to watch. There are many romantic scenes among the leading couple but their intimacy lacked passion. The idea of having a prelude by the male lead was a nice touch to the beginning of each episode and there’s a well done twist close to the end of the drama. Although the ending was nice, it was rushed and uneventful, as if it was missing a few more minutes for closure. Overall, it is a lighthearted drama and easy to watch. Enjoy it!

Sweet and light

What I liked: sweet and romantic love, acting by entire cast was good, the songs played brought out the emotions suitable for the scenes

What I disliked: maybe it was just me, but I thought the main leads and second leads fell in love too quickly and probably because of this, I felt bored and kind of in disbelief in the first perhaps 10 episodes, but subsequently I began to feel their love for each other probably because after watching more than 10 episodes, so I wasn't that bored anymore and more vested in their love for each other.

I believe because it was by the same director as 'Love by Hypnotic', so there was some resemblance in the filming style pertaining to the main leads' love interactions, such as peach blossom trees, swings, them lying side by side on the wooden platform, lots of sweet kisses, etc.

All in all, I would recommend if you want something sweet and light, though other reviewers have also pointed out that the last few episodes were a little tensed, but I would still consider it 'light' compared to other historical dramas.

Cute love story with great side characters & solid script

If you’re looking for a wuxia love story that won’t weigh heavy on you, this is it. I find too many of them are slow burn and angsty.

What a fulfilling story with some lovable characters and not much angst or frustration. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed many scenes - there were some really great ones and quite a few that made me laugh! ML is absolutely perfect, expressive in the right ways, not too rigid, and he got to express his love. He’s a gem. FL was ok but I kept getting distracted by her elvish looks. She did well with the actual acting and was well-suited for the quirkiness of the character. I liked the secondary relationship too and prince Jing was just adorable.

Other honorable mentions are Ling Hua and Ling Shu, a fun pair to augment the experience with ML & FL. Zhuang Chen, who was mostly goofy but really came through when needed. I loved having all of them around.

OMG I enjoyed it so far. all cast are very good in their role with the Light Comedy never got me tired to watch it. Wang Xing Yue, ( male leads ) he's gorgeous.. 2 more episodes over. Let's see how the end is...
I do love historical dramas like how they dressed, music added and stuff. All beautiful, but sometimes i give up myself because of a long story. This the best one!....
by seeing random Vids on tiktok just find it interesting. Not as plan i'm going to watching this at first. IM too excited
