Zombie with Wifi/Bluetooth
Its an exciting zombie movie with a great story line and straight to the point, you feel the danger and wonder how would they stop it small twist here and there but you notice them early so by that i believe you already know what to expect. The acting is good except there some actors that have the same emotion throughout the movie cough jun ji hyun cough which lowers its rating but others are cool
the ending is not satisfying in my opinion and there is some plot holes that if they were fixed it could reach the hype of train to busan
But in general good watch try it.

Movie Review – Colony (2026)
Colony (2026) had a good and interesting plot with a lot of potential, but the biggest problem was the pacing. Everything happened too fast. Instead of letting important moments build naturally, the movie kept moving from one event to another without giving enough time to connect emotionally with the characters. There were too many things happening at once, and because of that, many ideas and scenes didn’t feel fully explored. Some emotional moments could have been stronger if the movie slowed down and gave more depth to the characters and their relationships.
The story itself had potential, but it felt rushed, making several important parts feel underdeveloped. Overall, it’s entertaining and has a solid concept, but it could have been much better with slower pacing and more emotional depth.

Horror Finally Feels Dangerous Again
Colony.7 minutes of applause at Cannes?
Should’ve been 20.
The movie borrows DNA from:
Resident Evil,
Aliens,
Train to Busan,
World War Z,
Invasion of the Body Snatchers,
and even The Great Wall…
yet somehow it never feels like a cheap copy.
It feels like a love letter to biological horror.
The infected operate as a hive mind.
They don’t feed.
They don’t think individually.
They coordinate, adapt, and slowly transform the entire building into a living organism.
The walls look like xenomorph nests.
The corridors feel like The Hive from Resident Evil.
And the true protagonist isn’t Ji Chang-wook…
it’s the infection itself.
What makes the film work so well is that the real horror isn’t only the monsters.
It’s watching humans stop protecting each other.
Cowardice.
Betrayal.
Revenge.
Obsession.
While the colony remains united…
the humans destroy themselves.
And yes, the film absolutely carries videogame DNA:
Resident Evil,
Aliens,
Left 4 Dead,
The Last of Us…
but it never abuses those influences.
It uses that visual language to create tension, not to show off references.
And the ending…
those absolute bastards.
Just when you think everything is over,
the movie leaves you with the most terrifying possibility of all:
what if the hive no longer needs a leader?
This is how intelligent entertainment is done.

Good Movie But Lack emotional Depth
As The Title says, Colony Movie is a great One time watch movie but the story lack emotional Depth and I think it's should have been a series cause there were many things to explore they just somehow showed quickly, Zombie Scenes Was Really Well-done, Plot Was Decent (Had Huge Potential) The Main Strong main of this movie was acting, My god!! What a Performance by all the leads spacially JCW and His Sister . In the end It's Didn't live up to it's Hype Fully. A Good Watch .Was this review helpful to you?

Better spend your 2 hours for something else
Suffer the same plot holes and idiotic moments as every other zombie themed shows that predate it.Zero story and very weak characters. It's just a fast pace of events showing a small group of people running from the zombies, while occassionally getting into heated arguments and do stupid shit that get them killed.
Film maker told us that she's supposed to be a reknown bio-tech professor, but they failed miserably to deliver that premise at all. It's a shame really.
Having Jun Ji-Hyun and Ji Chang-Wook as the main casts ain't gonna save this garbage.
1 star rating from me.

Definitely Worth the hype
I honestly don't know why people are rating this drama so low. Please don't let the ratings stop you from watching it. At the end of the day, people are always going to have different opinions, and no matter what a drama does, someone will still find something to complain about. This drama was absolutely worth watching, and I personally enjoyed it a lot. One of the things I loved most was the plot twists. They kept me interested and made the story feel fresh. As someone who watches a lot of zombie dramas, I can confidently say this one felt different from many of the others I've seen, and that's what made it stand out for me.
I'm not usually the type to write reviews. I normally watch a drama and move on to the next one, but this time I felt compelled to leave a comment because I genuinely don't regret spending my time on it.
I don't want to leave any spoilers, but the acting was top-notch. The cast did an amazing job bringing their characters to life, and the emotions felt believable throughout the drama. The pacing kept me engaged, and I found myself wanting to know what would happen next.
Overall, I enjoyed the experience from start to finish and would definitely recommend giving it a chance instead of relying solely on the ratings.

Innovative zombie movie
Zombie movies/shows always has a similar story which makes me feel bored sometimes but this movie has a slightly more unique concept and got me captivated throughout with 0 boring scenes. A movie that made me say 'Wow, that was a good movie' after the movie ended. The storyline was captivating, had emotional scenes and top tier acting. The only minor weakness is it is a LITTLE lacking in emotional depthWas this review helpful to you?

The film's pace is too fast.
Honestly, I don't like zombie movies where the zombies spread too quickly. It's just so illogical. So far, in my opinion, the best zombie dramas are still Kingdom and Happiness. The idea of this film is very good, but i think if given a good storyline and a more natural spread of the virus this movie would be really cool. Was this review helpful to you?

It had it's own uniqueness despite having the typical virus outbreak situation.
As a fan of apocalyptic movies, I already knew that I was gonna like this movie a lot. Although it has the typical virus outbreak kind of situation with survivors trapped inside a building fighting to survive and waiting to get rescued, it had it's own kind of uniqueness which is pretty self explanatory but I'll still state it. The way the infected people were acting, doing that information exchange and later on evolving. First they went and attacked on all fours then gradually evolved and started walking and running. They were damn scary while going through that evolution phase. What intrigued me the most has got to be Young Chul, the antagonist of the movie. I loved how psychopathic he was, the way he controlled the zombies and moved them round. He was a cool villain I gotta say. As much as I loved Professor Kwon Se-jeong, my favourite character has got to be Young Chul. Loved his acting from beginning to the end. The power he showed in that situation, the way he was walking among the zombies, unaffected by anything and just maintaining that villainous smile LIKE GODDAMNNN I feel like I fell in love with him. The actor did a really great job playing that role. To be honest, in my opinion I think to survive in a situation like this, one needs intellectual power more than physical power. Obviously you need to fight too but it's like a 55% intellectual power and 45% physical power. Kwon Se-jeong was amazing in the second half of the movie. The way she used her wit and fought with Young Chul. Hats off to her really. Overall, I really really enjoyed this movie 💯Was this review helpful to you?
A zombie movie that will make you reflect.
A great watch inside of the cinema! The creator/s packed this film with all the ingredients a movie needs to succeed. A death of a good character for someone not worthy, a smart lead, a strong lead, characters you would root for to survive, characters you would root for to trip and die, circumstances that made you clutch your friend beside you... Colony's formula might not be unique but the execution, for me, was one slap away from being fantastic (if you watched it, I think you know whose bully's ass' deserved to be b*tched slapped, I know everyone I watched it with was hoping for it to happen). They stuck to their plan and it landed well.
Most importantly, Colony isn't just a zombie movie that is all thrill and jump scare, at the core of it, the movie conveys multiple messages and truths to its audience. Humans, like any animals are just animals: it's one for all, until self preservation says it's all for one. There are many, but what struck me the most, based on my own interpretation of what was shown on screen, was something that reflects where I currently am. People, especially, when it comes to politics have this hive mind. They would defer to their number 1 like brain dead zombies, until they end up spinning round and round until all that's left are shells. It's really important to think on your own, humans, have their own brain, they should use their own brains and form their own thoughts end decide what they, as an individual should do.
It's funny to me how this movie, showed that one character Koo Kyo-Hwan’s character wants to connect all minds for everyone to get the same exact message with all the feels and nuances to avoid miscommunication, because I feel like, social media is just one step away from controlling us this way…

Absolute peak Korean action cinema
First screened at Cannes 2026, when none were expecting anything new to come out from zombie franchises anymore, director/writer Yeon Sang Ho is here to prove them wrong, this time around with fresh new implementation and insanely stellar performances, even bested himself after all the monster flicks that he has done in recent years. It has plot development and storytelling that makes actual sense, the heightened suspense is top class from all the settings that they've built, which gave the movie one of the most convincing villains ever in Korean movies. Acting performance is intense and the action sequence is sleek and highly believable, absolutely peak Korean action cinema. Was this review helpful to you?
