The casting is honestly perfect. Every actor fits their role so naturally that it feels less like acting and more like watching real people unfold. The leads deliver layered performances, especially in the quiet moments where a look or a pause says more than dialogue ever could. The chemistry feels effortless and real, not forced for the sake of the genre.
The music deserves special praise. The soundtrack elevates every emotional beat and stays with you even after the episode ends. It knows when to be subtle and when to hit hard, making key scenes even more unforgettable. So far, it’s a very strong start and absolutely deserving of a high rating. I’m already looking forward to the next episodes. I love FirstKhaotungs acting so much I have no words to describe their acting.🫶✨️

pls watch it!

I was really excited for Cat for Cash and I have to say, it did not disappoint! I already watched it three times within the week. FKT have amazing chemistry, and their acting really shows why they're some of the best in GMMTV.

I was a bit worried at first that the story might be all romance and not much else, but the first episode quickly proved me wrong. Yes, it moved pretty fast, but that’s expected for a premiere. They packed in a lot, and it flowed nicely.

The vibe is super warm. The characters are charming, and the cats are just adorableeeeee!

I’m looking forward to the next episode and hoping the director keeps this momentum going. (finger crossed)

A pleasant and lovely surprise

This is my first ever review so I was a bit hesitant (and nervous). I felt I needed to give an honest review of Cat for Cash and FirstKhaotung.

What a pleasant surprise. I didn’t have high expectations after watching the pilot trailer and the official trailer. However, the first episode blew my mind. I couldn’t stop crying after watching it. Seeing people online relate to the mother’s struggles and remembering the pain of losing a loved one. That is what good storytelling does.

This is a breath of fresh air for BL dramas and personally, my highlight for the year so far.

First and Khaotung are both excellent and exceptional actors who executed their roles well.

All in all - a great series and must-watch. Bravo GMMTV!

Vale la pena vedere Cat for Cash?

Serie molto tranquilla e abbastanza scorrevole.
Non ci sono scene "troppo forti" (per chi conosce già gli attori e le serie in cui hanno recitato) anzi sembra ti vedere una coppia che si innamora realmente.

Ultimamente la GMMTV sta facendo serie da 10 episodi e danno l'impressione che accada tutto troppo in fretta, invece in questa serie si riesce a capire tutto. Peccato che alcune cose sembrano fatte proprio apposta, come l'allergia di Tiger che casualmente guarisce all'ultimo episodio.

Tutta la storia ruota sui gatti dando (secondo me) troppa importanza su di essi. Apprezzo come si prendevano cura in ogni aspetto, poi anche la storia tra i due gatti aiuta con la storia dei due protagonisti, però sembra un po' eccessivo fare un funerale a un gatto, sarà per "avvicinarlo" a JeMeow(?)

Alcune parti fanno venire domande a cui non ce una risposta o un motivo di una certa azione.

Il personaggio di JeMeow è fatto molto bene, in fondo grazie a lei che succede tutto. (più che altro grazie alla sua morte)
I personaggi di Tiger e Lynx sono molto accurati grazie alla recitazione di First e Khaotung, che a mio parere non deludono mai (per chi ha già visto le loro serie passate)
Ho dubbi riguardo il personaggio di Leo perché ha dei pro ma anche dei contro, per esempio ha aiutato Lynx in molte scene invece in altre lo ha lasciato da solo (sarà perché è insicuro? Non lo so)
Il personaggio di Pom (il dottore) è un amico di Lynx ma in fondo serviva solo per ingelosire Tiger.
Il personaggio di Pug (il fratello di Pom) serviva solo per avere una coppia in più nella serie. Da grande fan della WinnySatang (il nome della coppia originale tra Pug e Leo) ho apprezzato i loro (pochi ma buoni) momenti insieme nella serie, solo che erano abbastanza inutili, servivano solo per il personaggio di Leo in modo che non abbia una cotta per Pom ma per Pug. Non capisco il motivo di inserire anche Pug nella serie, nonostante la WinnySatang ormai non ce più (gli attori hanno terminato il loro contratto) ma forse al tempo (quando hanno registrato le scene) non era previsto il loro scioglimento.

La recitazione mi è piaciuta, la serie nonostante tutto non è male, anzi, la consiglio per chi vuole vedere una serie tranquilla, senza scene forti e/o spinte. Alcune parti si possono vedere tranquillamente in 2x senza perdersi nessun dettaglio.
Non consiglio un re-watch perché in alcuni tratti risulta noiosa.

Meh, quer dizer… Meow?

Comecei Cat for Cash sem grandes expectativas. Desde o início parecia aquele BL mais “slice of life”, o que não é um problema pra mim, eu até gosto do gênero, mas também não é algo que me empolgue automaticamente.

O primeiro episódio até surpreende, principalmente por causa da mãe do Linx. Mas aí vem essa história de maldição/magia (ou seja lá como devemos chamar isso) envolvendo entender os gatos… e eu fiquei completamente perdida. Não li a sinopse antes de começar, então achei bem???

Depois desse começo, a sensação que fica é que a história simplesmente não anda. Os episódios seguintes parecem girar no mesmo ponto, sem um avanço real no conflito ou nos personagens.

Sobre o Tiger

Ele definitivamente não me convenceu como cobrador de dívidas. Primeiro porque ele mal trabalha, passa praticamente o tempo todo no café de gatos.

Segundo porque não entendo muito bem por que ele tem esse emprego, considerando que a família dele aparentemente tem uma boa condição financeira. Pode ser que eu tenha perdido algum detalhe (estava assistindo em 2x, confesso), ou desviado a minha atenção já que a história não está me prendendo.

Terceiro, a alergia dele a gatos é outra coisa que me incomodou bastante. Ele simplesmente não pode encostar nos gatos e pronto? Fica o tempo todo no ambiente, mas isso não afeta? Nunca vi uma alergia tão seletiva assim. Pelo que eu sei, mesmo só estar no mesmo espaço já costuma causar reação, por causa dos pelos e das partículas no ar. Pra mim, isso fez zero sentido.

Sobre o Linx e os outros personagens, sinceramente, ainda não tenho muito o que comentar.

O romance é até ok. Funciona? eu acho, talvez por causa dos FirstKhao. E as vezes, mesmo o BL não sendo dos melhores, ganha mais engajamento e aceitação por causa do Shipp ser grande na indústria.

Mas também não estou verdadeiramente conectada. Não tem aquele elemento que me faça esperar ansiosamente pelo próximo episódio.

No geral, é uma série que não me envolveu. Nem a trama deles, nem dos gatos. E olha que meu sonho é ter um gato, então esperava me encantar bem mais, mas a narrativa não me ajudou.

Agora minhas conclusões finais após finalizar.

No geral, eu achei bem ok.
Não me afeiçoei a nenhum personagem, como já tinha comentado antes, e continuo achando que algumas questões não fizeram muito sentido.

Admito que me senti um pouco emotiva e até derramei algumas lágrimas por causa da vovó gata. Mas não acho que isso tenha sido mérito da narrativa ou dos personagens em si, e sim por um motivo pessoal que acabou sendo um gatilho pra mim.

Enfim, é uma história bem leve na e cotidiana na maior parte do tempo. Eu particularmente, terminei mais por insistência do que por envolvimento. Não me prendeu, nem pela história, nem pelo romance, nem pelos personagens. No meu caso foi um BL que passou, mas que não ficou, entendem?
Mas acredito que possa ter funcionado melhor para outras pessoas.

Ep:1: Chat et tragédies

Je pensais que c'était une comédie ? Pas pour me déplaire on parle de FirstKhao, leur interprétation est toujours extra. La tristesse et le désespoir sont les émotions qu'il retranscrivent le mieux à l'écran. Tiger est censé être froid et cruel mais ce n'est pas sa vrai personnalité,on le voit dès qu'il est en présence de chat. J'adore qu'on puisse voir la rupture entre la façade qu'il s'est construit et la réalité, la façon dont il couvre Linx montre sa vrai personnalité. Tiger m'as tout l'air d'être un personnage compliqué, en connaissant les deux points de vue tu es tiraillé entre l'accepte ou encore hésiter à adére à ce personnage. Note global: 8/10

At first glance, it plays like a quirky, feel-good BL rom-com:
Lynx, an interpreter who resents his late mother and hates cats, is forced to take over her debt-ridden cat café. To clear the debt, he ends up working with Tiger-a kind-hearted (and very handsome) debt collector who loves cats and can somehow understand their meows. It's an odd, almost whimsical premise, but the series handles it with surprising sincerity and emotional depth.
What starts as an enemies-to-lovers setup gradually unfolds into a deeply personal story about grief, abandonment, and reconciliation.
The emotional turning point comes early with the death of Lynx's mother, Je Meow. Her passing doesn't just set the plot in motion-it defines it. Lynx's grief is messy, layered with resentment and unresolved pain. He isn't just mourning her death; he's mourning a relationship that never felt whole.
As the series progresses, the café becomes more than just a setting-it becomes a space of healing. The cats, each with distinct personalities, act as emotional bridges between Lynx and the memories he's been trying to avoid.
One of the most devastating arcs involves Grandma Juju, Lynx's first adopted cat. In a heartbreaking moment, Lynx finally gains the ability to understand cats-just in time to hear Juju thank him and say goodbye before passing away.
That scene is quietly brutal. No over-the-top dramatics-just raw, restrained emotion that hits deeply.
Equally powerful is Lynx's reconciliation with his mother.
Through memories, conversations, and the lives she left behind, he begins to understand her love in a way he never could before. It's not a clean resolution-but it's honest, and that's what makes it land.
At the heart of the series is the relationship between Lynx and Tiger.
Unlike many BLs that rely on external conflict or drawn-out misunderstandings, their connection develops organically-through silence, shared routines, and small acts of care. It's a slow burn that prioritises emotional intimacy over physical expression.
Tiger stands out as a refreshing male lead. Despite being a debt collector, he's gentle, emotionally intuitive, and deeply compassionate-especially when it comes to Lynx and the cats. There's also a subtle but powerful layer to his character: his love for cats despite being allergic to them. It becomes a metaphor for loving something fully, even when you can't hold it close.
Lynx, on the other hand, carries the emotional weight of the story. His journey-from guarded, resentful, and emotionally distant to someone capable of accepting love-is the strongest arc in the series.
That said, the romance may feel understated for some viewers. The series leans heavily into emotional connection, with minimal physical affection. It's a deliberate choice-artistic and refreshing-but it does leave the relationship sitting in a slightly ambiguous space at times.
The series is anchored by the chemistry and restraint of its leads: First Kanaphan as Tiger delivers a soft, grounded performance filled with warmth and quiet sincerity.
Khaoutung Thanawat as Lynx offers a more subdued, internalised portrayal-proving his range with a performance that relies on silence as much as dialogue. Satang Kittiphop as Leo adds tension and emotional contrast. Fresh Arisara as Je Meow leaves a lasting impression-her presence is comforting, even in absence. Even the names of the characters are feline and I love it.
Directed by Kornphom Niyomsilp, the series takes a more intimate, character-driven approach. It avoids flashy storytelling in favour of quiet, reflective moments.
The screenplay by Pongsate Lucksameepong and Nichapat Buranadilok is one of its strongest elements. The pacing is deliberately slow, allowing characters to breathe and relationships to develop naturally. Instead of forcing drama, it builds emotional investment through routine, silence, and subtle gestures.
Visually, the series leans into warm tones, soft lighting, and intimate framing. The cat café feels like a sanctuary-filled with memory, affection, and unresolved pain. The cinematography often feels like watching memories unfold rather than scenes.
The soundtrack deserves special mention. It's subtle but incredibly effective-knowing exactly when to hold back and when to amplify emotion. Even the opening credits, featuring the cats in playful montages, set the tone beautitully.
At its core, Cat for Cash explores: Grief and unresolved family trauma, forgiveness and reconciliation, found family and love in its quietest, most patient form. It also uses cats as a central metaphor-representing independence, distance, and silent affection. The relationship between Lynx and Tiger mirrors this beautifully: one distant and guarded, the other open and quietly persistent.
In a genre often driven by high drama and big twists, Cat for Cash chooses a softer path. It's smaller in scale, slower in pace, and far more intimate in execution.
It won't be for everyone-especially if you're expecting a more conventional BL with clear romantic milestones. But if you're open to something quieter, more reflective, and deeply emotional, this series delivers.
It doesn't scream for attention. It doesn't force its impact.
It simply stays with you.
I laughed, I cried... and then I cried again. And for a story this gentle to leave that kind of mark-that's something special.

Gatos y Gays?! Total

desde el inicio está serie fue increíble, el tema de los gatos a mi siempre me gustó, claramente como una amante de ellos es que me sumergí en esta historia, al principio fue todo lineal, con algunos problemas por el tema del café, problemas sin resolver de Lynx con su madre, todo iba bien, hasta qué apareció el medio hermanó, subidito en un catre molesto nadie me hará quererte Leo, después el padre que tenía otra familia aparte justificandose, anda nomás máquina nadie te detiene. para después, cuando lo del tema de la madre se había solucionado, volver a ponerle inseguridad a Lynx porqué a su madre había dicho lo de darle la cafetería y el don a Leo, a uno que ni siquiera es su hijo, cualquiera, después medio se justifico que porque no quería presionarlo a vivir una vida que no quería y bla bla bla, cualquiera pero bueno. tocó fibras sensibles en mi como el fallecimiento de Abuela Juu, cuál era la necesidad? (escribo esto abrazando a mi gata)

Tiger a pesar de ser un cobrador de deudas es sin dudas un amor totalmente 💕 Hubieron partes que las sentí innecesarias como los planteos tontos de Leo hacia Lynx, la madre de Tiger haciéndose la sufrida porque su hijo sale con un flaco, pero sacando eso es una buena serie, más si sos amante de los gatos.

Achei interessante

De inicio, vulgo no primeiro episódio eu dropei logo, pelo facto de me fartar, juro nd contra a serie mas, dropei logo. Mas, eu fiz um pacto cmg mesma que para ver novas séries eu tinha de acabar as que ja tinha começado. que era umas 8/9, querendo ou nao aproveitei que estava em época de lançamento e só iria ver um ep por semana,quando ja tinha lançado o ep 5/6 comecei a ver mesmo mesmo, viciei me tava era a dar me raiva o lynx nao aceitar q gostava no Tiger, e a tratá-lo "mal" mas pronto.
Sobre as atuações eu amo sempre né Frist e Khaotong divam sempre, e no ep 9 só me lembrei do video a dizer que os personagens do khaotong sofrem sempre e é vdd, quando ele é personagem principal podes ter a certza que vamos ver ele a chorar.

Una premisa interesante desperdiciada

La premisa de la serie parecía interesante: un cobrador de deudas que puede escuchar a los gatos… y que además es alérgico a ellos. Pero desde el inicio se nota que muchas de esas ideas no se desarrollan bien.
La alergia del protagonista, por ejemplo, se menciona en el primer capítulo y luego prácticamente desaparece durante toda la serie. No volvemos a ver ningún síntoma hasta el último episodio, donde mágicamente se “cura”. Lo mismo pasa con el tema de las deudas: en el primer capítulo deja ese trabajo y empieza a trabajar en el café, y ese elemento de la trama queda completamente olvidado.
Los gatos, que parecían importantes al principio, también van perdiendo relevancia. En los primeros capítulos tienen algo de protagonismo, pero luego solo aparecen para acompañar momentos románticos.
En cuanto a los personajes secundarios, tampoco aportan demasiado. El personaje de Khao tiene un conflicto con su madre que se siente bastante absurdo, y pasan años distanciados hasta que ella muere y él termina haciéndose cargo del café. Es difícil empatizar con ese drama cuando parece que la historia quiere repetir el mismo patrón familiar: su abuelo también se peleó con su madre y nunca se volvieron a hablar.
El resto del elenco tampoco suma mucho. El veterinario aparece básicamente para provocar celos en un capítulo y luego desaparece de la historia. El personaje de Krapor funciona como alivio cómico, aunque en mi caso nunca logró hacerme reír. El medio hermano tiene un poco más de relevancia, pero aun así su presencia no cambia demasiado la trama. El resto del elenco tampoco suma mucho.
En general, la serie termina siendo un romance bastante básico, con algunos momentos agradables pero nada realmente memorable. Sí tiene escenas y un par de momentos rescatables, pero no logra ir más allá de eso.
First y Khao tienen muy buena química y ambos actúan muy bien. Sin embargo, por más talento que tengan, un buen actor o una buena química no pueden salvar un guion débil. Y en este caso, ese es precisamente el mayor problema de la serie.
