One of the main leads from the both show is sent to somewhere to get education by their parents. Because their family caught them and learnt that their son is gay + they are religious family also. So both show is religious queer show

If Ticket to Heaven has you hooked because of its emotional depth, powerful performances, and the way the relationship between the leads gradually unfolds, I’d highly recommend Double Helix. Although the two dramas tell very different stories, they share a strong emphasis on character-driven storytelling and emotionally charged relationships. Both excel at building meaningful chemistry through subtle expressions, lingering glances, and moments of vulnerability that make the romance feel deeply earned. If you’re looking for another BL that leaves a lasting emotional impact and keeps you invested in its central couple from beginning to end, Double Helix is definitely worth adding to your watchlist.

Navigating lgbtq identity in christian school. The lead character who is a beloved student, becomes involved with the trouble making transfer student, and a romance between them begins to blossom.

Although I believe that there are so many areas for improvement, I loved this movie! It was so refreshing to see a Catholic school being open to our lgbtqia+ brothers and sisters.

Kamisama no Ekohiiki is a hidden gem. One side love story has similarities to Ticket to Heaven also, religious gay love (main love story also queer, there is even a lesbian love story), there is a priest character who tasted that kind love when he is young and rest is spoiler. Both show represents real life struggles of being queer

- I'm not sure if the scene will come up in the drama, but in the trailer fourth looks into the mirror and touches himself which reminded me of the famous scene in which PP Krit is experimenting wearing a bra

Both are thai Boys Love shows by two very acclaimed directors with visual unique aesthetics and the aim to represent gay relationships more realistically. Focus lies on highschool students navigating love and relationships and the complexities of that.

Ticket to Heaven reminded me of this lesser-known Korean short film. Very similar themes and dynamics (so far). Both lead actors did a great job showing religious guilt for being gay.
