Adorable

Really loved the chemistry between Akin and Jin. Akin and Jin both looks very adorable. This is one of my favourite shows based around “love”. To me it depicts something that’s real. It’s realistic and maybe to some people that makes them sad, for me it makes me happy, even when I cried I ended up laughing with tears on my eyes. It really touched me a lot.

A rollercoaster of emotions... beautifully written !

Wow… What a way to end such an incredible BL ! I shed so many tears - tears of joy, anger, and most of all, sadness. Top Form has left a deep, lasting impact on me. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same after experiencing this story. SmartBoom delivered a performance that was raw, layered, and utterly unforgettable. A broken soul finally discovering his safe place, his home…it was powerful, painful, and beautifully real.

My poor babies went through so much. There’s so much I want to say, yet words feel almost inadequate to describe how beautifully written and directed this series is. Every emotion hit me like a wave. The chemistry between Smart and Boom was insane - so real, so natural. It felt like these two were born to play these roles together.

The cinematography completely blew me away. Every scene was crafted with such care - each frame felt like a painting. The way emotions were captured through lighting, angles, and subtle visual storytelling made every moment even more powerful. Some shots were so breathtaking, they left me speechless. (Honey scene 👀)

One of the things that struck me the most was how emotionally mature both Akin and Jin were. Their reactions, even when clashing, were always valid. (Especially the scene in the car) They had every right to feel what they felt, and instead of spiraling into miscommunication tropes, they talked. They faced hard truths. They apologized. They listened. Seeing two people not only fall in love but actively work on their love made their relationship so refreshing and genuine. It made watching them a true pleasure.

It highly appreciated how every topic was adressed. Nothing was rushed. Every conflict, every tender moment, was allowed to unfold at its own pace, which made the emotional payoff all the more powerful. Whether it was trauma, love, identity, or healing, the story never forced anything. It allowed the characters - and myself - to feel everything

Another huge strength of the show was the side couple. They were well-developed and interesting, but never overshadowed or took away from the main couple’s arc. They’ve been given something to grow, setting the stage for something meaningful in Season 2. It was a perfect balance to me : satisfying now, but still full of potential.

And the NC scenes ? They were soft, delicate, deeply intimate… even playful. But above all, they were filled with emotion. For the first time ever, an NC scene made me cry. It was so human, so vulnerable. It was more than just physical - it was pure love even with pain. It was everything.

With every episode, I found myself wondering, "How can they possibly top this?" But they did. Again and again. I fell in love over and over as the show aired. I’m not afraid to say this is THE BL of the year. No question. It’s taken the number one spot in my heart - and I’ve watched over 150 BLs, so that’s saying something.

Top Form isn’t just a series to me. It's a story that will stay with me for a very long time. 🙏🏻

"Top Form" is more than just a BL drama; it is a masterclass in storytelling, character development, and on-screen chemistry. Boom and Smart's exceptional performances anchor a series that is beautifully written, expertly directed, and technically polished. The emotional bond between their characters is the heart of the drama, resonating with viewers on a profound level. It is a refreshing and captivating series that has undoubtedly earned its place as a standout production of 2025 and a must-watch for fans of the genre and beyond. The high scores attributed to acting, cast, and music are not just opinions; they are a testament to the exceptional quality that "Top Form" consistently delivers.

Hard to watch without the noise — and the noise is loud

I'll be upfront: I didn't finish this one, and the reasons are both personal and circumstantial.
The off-screen situation surrounding SmartBoom made it genuinely difficult to watch without that context bleeding in. The allegations around Boom, and Smart's very public legal dispute with WeTV — including his own accounts of difficult working conditions on set — create a weight that's hard to set aside, even when you try. Whatever the full truth of those situations is, SmartBoom as a pairing no longer exists in this form, and that shapes how the series feels in retrospect.
As for the show itself: the intimate scenes worked well enough, but the chemistry between the leads only partially landed for me, and the story never gave me a reason to stay. I'd already struggled to connect with the source material in its animated form, and the live action didn't change that. Sometimes a story and a viewer just don't find each other, regardless of how it's made.
I don't think this is necessarily a bad series — it's more that it wasn't for me, on multiple levels.

Its a very interesting take on a anime turning in to live action, but I have to see it sadly did not work out for me personally. I am a big fan of the anime and I love the live action actors, but this storyline and the changes and the chemistry just did not fit for me. There were parts that felt off and unrealistic. The NC were ok, but did not feel right, some moments felt off, I am not sure if its the chemistry or writing but the leads just did not smash for me. I guess I came into this with higher desire then what I got. Sadly to be honest it was a disappointment, I am sure lots love it but I am not one. I do look forward to seeing the actors again in something that fits them better, but maybe it was the writing for it but it all felt flat and unreal in the end, not the best take on the great anime.

The enemies to lovers show I've been waiting for

So, there's only 3 episodes out right now but MY GOD this show is really promising. First of all, the cast is great. The acting is PHENOMENAL! Secondly, the chemistry between the two characters is amazing. Their tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

And can we just take a second to appreciate the cinematography???? Like the lighting and the angles are soooo good. Visually, it's beautiful!

These week long waits are killing me!! I just need the next episode. GO WATCH THIS!!

I think this is the best Thai BL drama of 2025 so far!

“TopForm” has aired two episodes now and I watched it on WeTV. My favorite part is the police uniform outfit, the two actors Boom and Smart have a great chemistry... I didn't expect that many iconic scenes from the original manga would be brought to life on screen. Although they might not be exactly the same for manga purists, the series has its own unique charm and is truly captivating. Trust me, it won't disappoint you.
I can't get enough of it, and the weekly episodes make my days feel like years, and it's so good that I can't help but want to finish it all in one go!Anyone who has seen it, let's discuss 👀!

"Top Form" is a Thai Boys' Love (BL) drama series that premiered on March 20, 2025, on WeTV. The series is an adaptation of the Japanese manga "Dakaichi: I'm Being Harassed by the Sexiest Man of the Year" by Hashigo Sakurabi.

The narrative centers around Akin, portrayed by Raweewit Jiraphongkanon, a seasoned actor who has held the title of "Sexiest Man of the Year" for five consecutive years. His reign is challenged by Jin, played by Chisanupong Paungmanee, a rising star whose burgeoning popularity threatens Akin's top position. Initially, Akin perceives Jin as a rival, while Jin harbors admiration and deeper feelings for Akin.

The series delves into their evolving relationship, exploring themes of rivalry, admiration, and the complexities of love within the entertainment industry. As Jin's popularity soars, a playful rivalry ensues, blending teasing with genuine interest. This dynamic gradually transforms into a complex and passionate relationship, highlighting the personal and professional challenges they face.

Definitely Top 5 of 2025

This was such an incredible show. It seems like The plot is being missed by many who has been reviewing and it’s sad. To some up the plot of this show.. basically the BL/GL and just drama industry, and how to actors COULD fall in love and how the industry would react to it. Once Atkins did not sign with Sigma, they wanted to destroy him.

this show takes you behind the scenes of what actors really have to go through to prepare for scenes, How other costars could respond to seeing real chemistry, And how the industry could take advantage of that while also adding in a stalker Who is supposed to be a fan but you realize that she only wants to possess him and when she can’t or sees that he actually has a partner she wants to expose him. (Which is all realistic and does happen in Thailand in the industry right now). and them handling it the best way they could if you notice they actually never came out to the world only people who knew that they were together or even infatuated with each other where people around them. AKA Private not secret!! ❤️

The fact that this is going over so many people’s hands is actually the problem.

One of the best acting I have seen in Thai BL

Every time an emotional scene came I couldn't breath. It was as of they were taking me in into their world. The emotions were that intense. Possibly one of the best Thai BL in terms of acting, cinematography and direction. The meta acting and character changes were amazing.
The series was very much character oriented with not much going with the plot. However the chemistry and acting truly shined the most. It showed the life of an actor, the industry and what he faced. The direction was mesmerizing. It was slow paced but every moment made me stop my breathing. The cinematography was very unique, something I have never seen in Thai drama before.
Boom is a phenomenal actor. I cannot praise him enough. His acting, every emotion, every face expression, I could feel through the screen. He conveyed everything so well I felt Akin wasn't a character but a real person. Smart is so talented. I wondered what took them so long to let him shine. He truly adapted himself to Jin.
I wish there were a little more thrill apart from the thrilling NC scenes. However the show goes deeper than it seems. As an actor myself I can say this series showcased the art of acting so well.

Not a big Thai BL fan, this was a surprise !

Years, I have been struggling with Thai BL, their production seemed always very amateurish and rushed.
However thats not the case for Top Form AT ALL.

Top Form feels like a carefully crafted passion project; from the direction to the cinematography and the music it was very artistically filmed. To my understanding this was adapted from a Japanese source material and I have to admit even while watching it I thought that it gave the subtle sensitivities of Japanese filmmaking. But it never felt like a copy, it was more like a beautiful pair of the best aspects of both cultures. The main actors were good but Boom stands out by far for his impeccable acting. His ability to convey emotions was mesmerising. To my disbelief he hasn't been a protagonist in as many titles as he should. A true tragedy.

Top Form was a triumph and the industry should learn some lessons and try to prioritise quality over quantity.
Easier said than done when, BL dramas are produced as easily consumable fast food that fans would eat up if the main guys are attractive.

p.s I still rated it 8.5/10 because it had some potential for further improvement in the scenario
