I never thought they'd do justice to one of my favorite BL anime/manga series, 'Dakaichi: I'm Being Harassed by the Sexiest Man of the Year' by Sakurabi Hashigo.
At first, I was hesitant to watch it because I wasn't sure if the leads would have good chemistry, and I didn't research the series further. While watching, I was amazed by how familiar it seemed. I remembered a BL anime I watched before that had a similar sound to 'Jun,' and later realized it was the same series because the BL anime featured a character named 'Junta.' I still didn't look up more information and just continued watching.
I didn't expect it to turn out so well. The acting, scenes, and chemistry between the leads were all great. The "Honey²" scene in episode 9 was my favorite, especially since episode 9 had a juicy break-up scene that felt so genuine and wasn't cringeworthy or forced. Akin's portrayal, particularly when he cried, was so good that I felt like crying too. The actors truly did justice to their roles. As for the honey scene, you'll just have to watch it for yourself – it's a must-see!
This series is a must-watch, and I'm not just saying that because it has high reviews. It's genuinely become one of my top series. I'm biased, but I also loved the anime version. As someone who's always on the lookout for a good series, I highly recommend not missing this one and watching it until the end. Hoping that Smart and Boom have another series 🥺😶

The two leading actors have superb acting skills and a fascinating plot
This is a Thai drama adapted from a famous Japanese manga. In order to make part of the content more realistic and logical, but without losing the meaning of the original content, the rhythm of the content is very appropriate, the soundtrack is very suitable for the current plot, and the acting of the two leading actors is also very attractive. NC and emotional outpouring
Two people show natural feelings, and the cartoon super fit, and the image is also very beautiful. The eye play is very in place, and I can't help crying. The NC part gives me a very good feeling, and the beautiful picture is simply human body artMy favorite part is the bathroom and honey. Honey shows more skin but is not vulgar. Honey is just right. The most adorable couple
I rarely give 10/10 but SmartBoom deserves this. Hands down Boom is the cutest human being ever. Where have you been hiding Boom?!You NEED to watch this series for their love, loyalty, and chemistry. The plot isn't anything special-two actors fall in love. But boy are they IN LOVE. Through thick and thin the most adorable couple ever. They are able to make your heart incredibly happy. But also, I've never seen anything quite like Boom's crying skill. This man will have YOU crying because the depth of emotion to his acting is top notch.
SmartBoom you and MilesApo are my two most beloved couples.

Bite Mark on My Hippocampus
Top Form The Series is one of those rare adaptations that doesn’t just work, it lingers. I went in expecting a straight-laced romantic drama and came out genuinely gasping. The performances left a permanent bite mark on my hippocampus, and honestly? No regrets.The writing keeps the romance grounded and organic, never forced, and at times it feels less like watching characters and more like watching real people fall in love. A huge part of that is Boom Raveewit Jirapongkanon as Akin- a performance so controlled, vulnerable, and devastatingly good that Episode 7 (Bite Marks) now lives rent-free in my head. I also want to give credit where it’s very much due; Smart Chisanupong Paungmanee did a solid job as Jin, especially considering this was his first lead role. There are moments where the difference in experience shows, but that’s only if I’m really nitpicking. Overall, his performance felt sincere and committed, and I genuinely appreciated the effort he brought to the role. Most importantly, he never left me blatantly wanting more, which for a first-time lead, is no small achievement at all.
Story wise I cannot fault the screenwriters and only commend them for adapting the source material as best as they could. The manga is....wild...to put it mildly, and the team did do a really good job at adapting it for the screen. I especially loved how the screenwriters deepened Akin’s arc by expanding on his relationship with his grandmother and portraying her as his inspiration, his best friend, his North Star. I also think it's endlessly adorable to see him, a grown-ass man- THE Akin, write letters to his grandmother telling her about the love he has found. It's showing us that he was always mush on the inside, just industry hardened around the edges.
What he writes to her still echoes within me:
“I’ve just realised that when we feel so much for someone, it makes our life so complicated… it’s uncontrollable and confusing.”
It’s such a mature, honest take on finding love later in life and it hits hard because it’s true. Jin's absolute devotion leads him to come into his own. You can see that the Akin you began the story with is not the exact one you end up with. Jin's unwavering love lets you see a part of Akin even he didn't know existed and we're left with the sense that all we need is to be understood and accepted, insecurities and all.
Overall, this is an exceptional series: believable chemistry, emotionally coherent character arcs, and performances firing on all cylinders. One of the best watches I’ve had in recent years.
Boom really is in his Top Form; and yes, I fully agree with him when he said: “I’m sorry but I ate Takato up.”
Don't miss this absolute gem of a series.
Boom Raveewit Jirapongkanon is a GIFT to this craft.

Strange but good.
The chemistry was good. I liked seeing a new boy love couple. A few things I didn't like was the how the story was hard to follow at times. It seems to jump around a bit. It showed the darker side of the entertainment industry and how easy it is to ruin ones career. I liked the actors better than the story line. To me it boarded on is this hate or love. At times it seemed aggressive. I didn't cry during this series. I think that was because i didn't know how the two leads actually felt about each other. I hope if they make a season two they show off more of their personal relationship out side of the acting stuff. I really look forward to watching these two actors create a career for themselves and I hope to see them together again. The reason why I gave this series a 10 is because its one of the most interesting series I've seen this year.Was this review helpful to you?

Another 2025 thai bl BANGER!
This show is a fucking 10. Another 2025 Thai BL BANGER!I have nothing bad to say about this show from the actors to production, from the storyline to the soundtrack, everything was completely well done. This drama feels like one I could go back and watch and get all the same feels.
The characters weren’t annoying... even during conflicts and misunderstandings, none of their actions seemed out of place or unnecessary. Everything felt incredibly intentional, which made it that much more fun and easy to watch.
Even the ending didn’t feel out of place; it left enough room for a second season and even a spinoff with the other two main side characters.

A love story beautifully filmed and acted
PLOT: A young, aspiring actor, Jin, idolizes an award-winning star, Akin. Akin gives Jin advice and guides him during a film shoot. Jin then does everything he can to get closer to Akin. But it's complicated when one is a rising star (backed by a powerful and ruthless agency) and the other is a fading actor (with a less powerful but loyal team).+++ Both actors are incredibly talented, brilliant, and full of subtle glances and micro-expressions. Their chemistry is explosive (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) [and I'm not even mentioning the intimate scene with the honey :) ] Boom brings to life a passionate, vulnerable, and hypersensitive actor, deeply moving, while Smart is radiant, warm, and completely devoted to his idol. Kudos!

### The direction is very polished (except for the filming sequences, mostly duos, which are rather cheap) but in a somewhat disjointed style: small touches, flashbacks, etc. The story becomes more linear (and easier to follow) in the second half.
### What's with this trend of very long bangs? We can't see the actors' eyes, and they probably can't see much either?
### Why a Japanese ending song? Because of the original manga?
=> A moving love story carried by the talent of two great actors.

PLOT: un jeune acteur novice, Jin, voue un culte à un acteur-star avec awards, Akin. Celui-ci donne des conseils et guide Jin lors d'1 tournage. Jin va ensuite tt faire pr se rapprocher d'Akin. Mais c'est compliqué qd l'un est une rising star (soutenue par 1 agence puissante & féroce) et l'autre un acteur en déclin (avec 1 team fidèle moins puissante).
+++ Les 2 acteurs sont bourrés de talent, géniaux, tout en regards et micro-expressions. Leur alchimie est explosive (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) [et je ne parle pas de la scène intime avec le miel :) ] Boom donne vie à un acteur, habité par la passion, vulnérable et hyper sensible, émouvant, tandis que Smart est lumineux, chaleureux, totalement dévoué à son idole. Kudos !

Top Form is one of the best series of 2025.
There are very few dramas of any genre that I have wanted to start watching again immediately after I have finished the series. Top Form is among that handful. It was a wonderful production from the casting to the soundtrack and everything in between. The only thing it lacked was a much better script and storyline. The music enhanced the emotions and complimented the scenes rather than detracted from them. This in and of itself is a rare feat.The chemistry between Boom and Smart on screen was palpable and this pairing was magical. It felt real and raw, messy and intense. It often felt as if they forgot they were being filmed during their scenes and were just being themselves. Their expressions, words and touches were so realistic, I felt like I was intruding on their intimacy. Although Smart is younger and relatively new to acting, his portrayal of Jin was full of emotion, intensity and maturity. Boom has age and experience in his corner, but this was truly his breakout role and he showed that he was a true male lead, full of complexity and emotion. Once Jin realized the depth of his feelings for Akin he was unstoppable in his pursuit for love and this sometimes felt a little too obsessive.
This drama was not by any means perfect, but was really, really good. I found some of the storyline distracting at times, such as the introduction of Naru and his inclusion in The Sexiest Man vote. Really? It also gave us some insight into the world of actors and the demands the industry and fans place on them. It is not glamorous, but cutthroat and manipulative. Thankfully our leads managed to shine through all of these setbacks. The stalker incident should have been written more critically and not treated as a dust up. The sabotage and manipulation by SIGMA, as well as the homophobia deserved more attention and accountability in the plot. None of this was acceptable, and was definitely criminal.
I also ugly cried a few times during the series. Obviously during the angsty scenes between Boom and Smart. I am a sucker for good romance and a happily ever after. I found myself tearing up in the last episode when they got caught up in a sensual moment. The emotions on their faces and the background music were beautiful. I’MIN’s Fallen City was absolutely perfect. Kudos to the production team!!
