Surprisingly good.
The actors were great. I don't normally watch short series, but the dynamic cast and the chemistry between the two ML, made it one that I could not miss.The music was nice

Murder Mystery Club
I'm not going to beat around the bush: it's fine.This is a republican mini so the standard is somewhere below the floor though. They have school production budget and a dream - where I completely demolished Overdo with star power, money and gigantic production, this has none of those things and so I have to say this is okay.
As someone who is not oriented to romance, I went into this specifically for the bromance and main trio dynamic and on that level I was left a bit disappointed. They could've done more with it. The three of them come together towards the end, but there is no time for development of any kind, story wise or relationships wise. Then again in 10 minutes, what can you do.
Honestly, I don't even know what to say. Would I recommend it?... No? Unless you are actively looking for a bad melodrama that won't take much of your time.
I love the ending though, there is so much self awareness in there, it's actually impressive. Talk about school production value lmao...

Bittersweet, Sad but Satisfying Ending
When both of them don't want to live without each other's presence, then death is the only answer.Xiao Shitou and Xiao Zhuzi, two orphans who tried to survive their arduous childhood life but had to be forcefully separated.
I actually never like such a sad ending drama, but this time this is the only perfect ending.
Separated for so many years then finally able to find each other again, how can they be willing to be separated again?
Life and death together for sure.
Obviously if one is willing to die to protect, the other one is definitely willing to die as well.
24 episodes with 13-15 minutes duration per episode. No drama without loopholes and weakness, this short drama has those too.
But for short-length drama, the execution is done quite well.
The cut scenes between episodes or in the middle of each episode is done nicely.
The actors, I never watch Zhang Jing Yun in any drama before but he played the hot-headed Xu You'an [Xiao Shitou] very well.
Zhao Huan Ran as Rong Xiaonan [Xiao Zhuzi], I've seen him several times as a supporting role in many dramas, he usually took the role of wicked and cunning villain character. This change type of role is quite refreshing.
Ji Shu Yi as the naive but kindhearted Jiang Chun'er, a rare female character who is not annoying as hell.
The OST is quite nice too, the lyrics really represent the entanglement of the 3 characters, especially between Shitou an Zhuzi.
Simply put, it's worth-watching short length drama. Worth to rewatch as well if you lack of any new movie/drama materials to watch.
