Lotsa kisses but no chemistry & mousy & bland FL
I was in the mood for Ma Shi Yao's drama so I chose this drama because I thought this drama is a remake of A Night Deeply Drunk on the Spring Breeze starring Du Ya Fei.What I liked:
1. Ma Shi Yao - Call me bias but he gave a good performance as a neurosurgeon with a threat on his career. I liked the scenes where he struggled with his illness.
2. Supporting character - I liked ML's friend that matchmade them.
3. Romance - The intimate scenes were spicy! I liked the sneaky kisses at work. ML was always the one initiating intimacy and there were plenty of shirtless ML scenes.
What I disliked:
1. Zhu Xin Yu - She gave an underwhelming performance. One note expression - perpetually surprised at everything.
2. FL characterisation - Mousy & bland. What made ML attracted to her a lot until he wanted a committed & long-term relationship?
3. Styling - FL's styling seemed to be modelled after anime character. White body fitting top with sexy back but let's hide sexy image with glasses. Oh I dislike when a character wears a pair of glasses that doesn't have lens. What is the point??? I also didn't understand why a medical intern have long nails.
4. Chemistry - There was no chemistry between Ma Shi Yao & Zhu Xin Yu.

Too much repeat of storyline
Regins almost like a transaction between two people who desperately need something from each other, but underneath that arrangement is a surprisingly emotional story about fear, healing, and love.Xu Nian is not working at the club because she wants that life. Her grandmother is seriously ill, the medical expenses are overwhelming, and desperation pushes her into a situation she never imagined for herself. Then she meets Gu Chi, a respected heart surgeon who appears successful and confident but is carrying his own invisible wound.
Gu Chi's fear following his grandmother's failed surgery has become so severe that his hands tremble when he faces major operations. For a surgeon, that fear threatens everything he has worked for. Then he discovers something unexpected—Xu Nian calms him. Her presence becomes his “tranquilizer,” allowing him to control the fear that has been controlling him.
What I liked most is the irony of their relationship. Gu Chi is a doctor trained to heal other people's hearts, yet Xu Nian becomes the person who helps heal his. At the same time, Xu Nian enters his world because she desperately needs help saving someone she loves.
Their relationship may begin because each need something, but feelings don't always follow the terms of an agreement. ❤️
For me, the strongest part of this drama is watching two struggling people become each other's source of strength. Sometimes the person who saves you isn't the one holding the medicine—it's the person holding your hand when you're afraid.
