The story takes place at a police station in Nakano, Tokyo - a community-based precinct handling cases of all sizes, from arguments between pedestrians and neighborhood disputes to theft and fraud. Assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division are the partner detectives Yomoda Makoto and Suzuki Asuka. With outstanding teamwork, the pair solve case after case. However, they carry a secret they cannot tell anyone. They are husband and wife. Within the police department in Japan, it exists an unspoken rule: married couples cannot be assigned to the same division. If discovered, one of them would be transferred. In other words, they would be forced out of the detective division. To remain detectives, they reach only one conclusion: hide the fact that they are married. Why they married so soon after meeting each other if there is no love or passion at all
