Best series of the year!!!

Nour stands out because it completely breaks the mold of what we usually expect from a BL series. Instead of relying on a light, conventional romance formula, it leans hard into a dark, atmospheric, and dense supernatural thriller.
The core dynamic between James—the impulsive cop who can read human intentions—and Captain Ken—the tired, centuries-old immortal looking for an end—gives the story a heavy, grounded emotional anchor. When you add in the medical mysteries tackled by the supporting duo of the forensic doctor and his assistant, the whole thing evolves into a mature, psychologically rich ride. Ultimately, it feels like a cinematic blend of fantasy lore, gritty police procedural, and high-tension slow-burn romance that keeps you hooked on its unique vibe.
And what I love most about Nour is that after every episode, it's impossible not to cook up a million theories about what's going to happen next and rewatch the whole thing just to hunt for tiny details and clues.

Why All The Hate?

I’m officially hooked after the first two episodes of *Nour*! The storytelling pulled me in immediately, the acting feels natural and emotionally believable, and the characters already have me wanting to know more. I genuinely don’t understand the criticism about the actors’ appearances because I think they’re both incredibly handsome on screen, and their chemistry makes them even more attractive.

The story follows James, a young police officer investigating mysterious fires and supernatural deaths, whose unusual ability to read people suddenly fails when he meets the enigmatic Captain Ken. Ken is secretly an immortal man carrying a centuries-old curse, and their investigation begins pulling them into a dark world where the lines between life, death, and the supernatural are blurred.

So far, this series has a strong story, talented actors, and plenty of potential. I’m excited to see where it goes!

Finally, A Thai Crime/Romance BL Actually Worth Watching!

This show blew my mind!!! 🔥

I wasn’t even expecting to enjoy it when I decided to watch but guess who is hooked now?!! If you said me, you are absolutely right!!!

This BL series feels like a dream come true because I’ve always prayed for an ACTUAL Thai BL series like this one ever since we got Spare Me Your Mercy (which if you watched, you know errrr, it’s not so much of BL, I mean it is, but like it really isn’t)

So this one?!!! First two episodes really hit the spot for me. I have nothing but great things to say about this series. It’s definitely worth watching.

I’m too curious (so much that I can’t even wait for next Wednesday) to see how the story unfolds, especially after what happened at the end of the second episode.

Now you have two options, either join the watch train now, or wait for it to marinate and watch it later. BECAUSE this is a must-watch for sure!

Also, just to add it’s not perfect, just like every other Thai BL, but good effort here (even though one thing that kinda stood out as a flaw would be the cinematography quality but errrr it’s not a big deal)

This gem of a BL, noiselessly released late last month amidst a preponderance of quality BLs online, is actually quite entertaining. In fact, a thriller bl has been a surprisingly interesting norm these days. Gravitated to the choice MLs: Boss maybe a novice in acting, but his quirky or slightly fun character made him appealing in a way, then add his statuesque frame and those almost pleading chinky eyes which makes him a sight to behold; Tongtong ‘s transition from a ‘lakorn’ actor to a serious BL male lead has been widely anticipated mainly because of his cinematic good looks. A bit uneasy with NC scenes, but surely with more BL roles he can be a great asset to the BL universe!

NOUR IS OFF TO A DAMN GOOD START

Okay, Nour genuinely surprised me. The first two episodes had a strong start, and I’m already hooked by the crime thriller + supernatural elements. Thank God we’re getting something different instead of the same old BL storylines we’ve seen over and over again.

What I really like is that every character seems to have a story of their own—backstories that are clearly waiting to be uncovered in the coming episodes. And I’m VERY curious about where all of that is going.

I also went into this completely blind because I hadn’t watched the trailer beforehand. So watching the first two episodes literally felt like unboxing a mystery. I had no idea what to expect, which honestly made the experience even better.

And the chemistry? It’s there. The kiss was definitely a surprise for me, but hey… we’re starting it right! Plus, bonus points because Captain Ken and James are both good-looking. That certainly doesn’t hurt.

I also appreciate that they put up a disclaimer regarding the use of AI, especially since the first two episodes involve fire. At least they were transparent about it rather than pretending otherwise. I can respect that.

Most importantly, give the series a chance. You can’t completely write off a show after only two episodes. There’s clearly a bigger story being set up, and I’m excited to see how everything unfolds.

So far? Strong premise, intriguing mystery, good chemistry, good-looking leads, and plenty of questions.

Now let’s see where Nour takes us.

Good foundation

So far this is a good show, the premise is interesting and i'm enjoying watching the case progress, so if you enjoy a good murder mystery, so far so good!

The main romance feels really rushed but i think that's because its really hard to know how much time is passing, there are comments like 'you've worked together for awhile' but is this a month or a year, who knows, i like their chemistry but wish the growth had felt more organic.

I have no idea what it is about the secondary couple, but i'm not feeling it at all, i'm only on episode 5 (as that's all thats out so far) so maybe it's part of the plot and its setting the tone, but they make me feel a bit off, i'm not to the point of skipping them as i'm enjoying the story of show overall, but if they aren't somehow pivotal to the story, i would probably forward them on a re-watch, sorry to the actors! Its not bad acting, just not pulling me in, maybe its their setting being autopsy, who knows!

If your thinking of watching, i would say its worth watching so far, but i'm normally a binge watcher and i might wait for the rest to be out before i finish as this is a good binge watch rather then weekly for me, but i'll see what spoilers i see of next episode and i might cave to weekly.

I want to love it. AI Fucks It Up!

Look for all intents and purposes, the show itself is incredible, the actors are doing a fantastic job, and I want nothing more than to just support it, and see it through to the end.
However, I can't do that despite absolutely loving the first two episodes; because on episode 3, that's where I was able to finally read the subtitle that disclosed the use of AI. CGI is a wonderful tool, the use of CGI employs humans, it allows artists to continue working. I looked online and there were comments about how it was for on set safety, so I assume they meant it was in regards to the fire scenes, but that is where CGI comes in. There we're also comments saying that it was used for cleanup and enhancements of effects . . . like the eyes and other supernatural things. Again, CGI is a perfect way to go, hell, practical effects are also a perfect way to go when it comes to eye color and transitions. AI is only used for expedition, and as a cheap alternative. It takes jobs away from artists, and is way too casually used in modern media, especially in recent Thai media. It's one thing to have a character mindlessly ask AI how to cheer up their boyfriend (which sucks by itself), but it's a completely different thing to actively be destroying the planet in order to make somebody's eyes turn blue, instead of hiring a real artist and giving somebody a job; all just to save some money.

I'm really disappointed in We TV. While I appreciate the actual disclaimer, considering we don't get those much, I will unfortunately be dropping the series.
