Good story contrast

A really good mix of their story and the story in the show they are producing, will admit that i wish we'd just got 2 separate releases of these shows as i was invested in both storylines.
I did find it started to feel a bit repetitive as it went on, and would have liked more depth to their off screen storyline in the later episodes, but i enjoyed watching. Wouldn't say it had me on the edge of my seat, acting is brilliant, story is interesting, a good show overall

Kept me watching

Can be a frustrating watch, but it kept me watching, the dynamic is interesting between Lu and Bei families, and I really just wanted to smack a lot of them, often, very often. Good acting, the pacing is good, and the story is unique. A definite recommend from me but not sure its high rewatch value once you've learnt everything that is going on, so if you can watch without spoilers that would be best! Unless your like me where you have to be spoiled to know what your getting yourself in for, then go for it!

Masterpiece, must watch drama

I originally reviewed on the payback page which has now been turned into the uncut version, odd, but i definitely watched uncut, 100% sure of that as if it were anymore uncut it would be a different show! That being said, they do NC scenes perfectly, the emotional depth is intense.

Absolute masterpiece of a show, i've rewatched through twice now because i just keep going back and enjoying the character progression. Everything is so well acted, the story is intense, probably one of the hardest to watch BL shows i've seen so far and i've seen a lot of shows! But it's all done for a reason, nothing feels like filler scenes, or violence/nudity just to up viewership, which some shows throw these scenes in just for the fanbase, not for the plot, i'm fine with this, but for this show, everything is relevant, all of the storylines are interwoven beautifully, and despite the intensity, there are some really good humour moments.

If i could, i would ask the whole acting and production team to stay together as i would love to see more projects by them all, its rare to find a story so well rounded and that feels so complete.

Crime meets BL

A really good story especially for those who love their crime shows, good to follow the case, although the villain wasn't really a surprise. Acting was great, good chemistry and they all worked well together, i just think the pacing needed some improvements with the episodes being so short, especially the final which needed at least another episode to round everything off, its a complete story but needed a little bit more room to grow in that episode.
One of my biggest pet peeves for shows is medical inaccuracies and miraculous injury recovery, this takes me out of the story and there were a few scenes throughout that broke the emotion due to how these were cut together, at least for me, especially when a hospital monitor shows a pulse ox of 100% but 0 pulse/heart rate, this isn't a spoiler of a death, this is a medical scene with a very inaccurate reading, made me snort, not the reaction you want to have in an emotional scene.
Honestly, great show overall though, and the intro is visually brilliant and the music on point. Highly recommend watching

Finally some grown ups!

It was great watching actors my age telling a story that wasn't just teen romance, young love, or old flames reconnecting. It felt mature, funny, and real. The chemistry is brilliant, the story is interesting, and the daily stresses are relatable, i really recommend watching this series for a lighthearted break from reality.

3 very different stories

I love the cast of part 1 but i found it very slow, i did a rewatch before starting part 2 and felt the same as i did 1st time, slow, but wow do i love Earth and Bas and wish they had more projects together.

For the first arc, honestly the 1st 2 episodes are maybe my favourite of the whole series, i cried and was seriously worried for what was ahead. I love Tonfah and Phoon as a couple, but if you watch expecting a full trauma filled 8 episodes you will be disappointed as the momentum of the trauma drops after the 1st 2, there are still moments but not like there was in those, it then focuses on relationship building and Phoon coming out of his shell. Overall enjoyable, but i'm a sucker for the drama, and wish there was more retribution.

Arc 2, another great couple, i was interested in the story and loved Meen and Do, i just feel like they went 'whoops we forgot about the ghost story' as it kind of fell off mid-way, quite a lot feels unanswered in the side plots in this arc, but another good character growth story, although most unrealistic part is the med-school plot, the ghosts are more realistic, but it was cute.

Arc 3, probably my favourite, which i think is rare for this as the ratings are a lot lower, but the writing feels sustained throughout, the character growth is great, story is interesting and ties a few things together, also love Suer and Nao's friends to lovers slow burn. We know there is no romance from season 1 so the tension isn't there, allows you to just watch their friendship grow. I do wish there had been more of their actual relationship episodes, but can't have everything.

Overall a solid show and i would definitely recommend watching, but it's not one i will rush to rewatch as can be slow for someone that loves some hurt/comfort dramas.

Neat and Simple

Just finished a rewatch of this series as i'm hearing good things about the new one and this was one of the first Thai drama's i watched so i wanted to remind myself what happened.

If you like slow, no drama, and simplistic stories then this is definitely a must watch for you! There's nothing bad about the story it's just very slow, predictable, and honestly, nothing really happens. I love Earth and Bas and i've seen all these actors in other shows and know they are brilliant, but i found the friendship chemistry stronger then the relationship chemistry. Relationships seem to go from hate/indifference, to 'can't live without you' in a single scene, it doesn't feel realistic, which is great for anyone wanting to just escape realism!

Although all relationships are pretty much green flags, i'm sorry but if my partner had some of these reactions, or had done some of these things, i'd be pretty uncomfortable, as one's slightly stalkerish and controlling, and the other is awful at communicating, and also treats his partner like a child.

It's definitely a 'I watch for the cast not the plot' series for me. My favourite episode is probably 16 where there are some good interactions, and without spoilers i love the fainting scene, felt like the reaction is on point, just wish the aftermath were more fleshed out and at least dragged out for rest of episode.

Not a series i'm desperate to re-watch, like i said, only done this time for new season, but it is well acted, some fun moments, and very much an easy watch when you just can't stomach tension. Although there are a few scenes i will replay as they are cute and funny. Also i want North's duck! That duck is actor number 1!

Manga poorly adapted

I enjoyed the manga and wanted to give this a chance but they stayed too close to the book, the over-reactions work in a manga but needed toning down for the realism of a live action, it was very over the top and detracted from the story. This is not a fault of the actors, it was the direction that was taken for the production as far as i can see. I also think the main actors were poorly cast as didn't fit the characters, again they weren't bad actors, it was just a bad role.

My opinion only, if you want a bit of over the top comedy you might like this, i just felt a bit disappointed, although i did like the scenes with the older brother

Enjoyed the investigation

I really like these 2 in My Stand In, one of my favourite shows, thats what pulled me to this show. I really recommend it, the romance is great, the investigation keeps you interested although it's fairly obvious and slightly predictable progression.
I was excited for the parental side of the show, but this was fairly weak and felt more of an adorable prop, would have liked to see more family time, so if your wanting to watch for a slice of life BL raising a family you might feel a bit let down, but this is a dynamic of the show.

Honestly just a good easy watch that i didn't find myself getting bored or wanting to skip through, had some heavier moments, but not overly tense.

Strong from episode 1 and all the way through

Honestly one of the best series' i've seen, not just as a BL but as a standalone series, it's strong from start to finish. There are some truly dark scenes, with a brilliant revenge plot that is sustained through the series, but thats not all this series is! Watching the character growth of everyone is amazing, they are all phenomenal actors with fantastic chemistry, and you really get to understand each of them, why they are how they are, and you get to see this explored. Really impressive in a 10 episode show.
Without any spoilers, i can just say, watch this if you like dark stories, but where there are light hearted moments, deep personal connections, and a good dose of hurt/comfort (although i'm a sucker for hurt/comfort so as always there could always have been more of this for me :D)

I have already rewatched this as the weeks have gone on, and a lot of people will rave about NC scenes, they are so brilliant, but there are so many scenes that stand out, outside of NC, so many moments that just punch you in the gut. I've never wanted to reach through the screen and give a character a hug so badly as with this drama.

Watch it!

Cute and Makes you laugh

I love the premise of this where he see's the threads connecting people, reminds me of the Girl Who See's Scents, but the actual story is very different.

If your in the mood for something lighthearted, then so far this is a good watch, not slow, relationships haven't been rushed or overly forced, and the friendships are good as well. I'm interested to learn more about their backstories, and to see what drama they get into working together.

Loving every Minute

My only regret is watching this as its come out as i hate waiting weeks between episodes, but i love it so far, i re-watch 2-3 times all the way through between episodes, acting is on point, yes a little over the top but i think that highlights how out of control this world can be. The chemistry, the story, the build up, just everything about this show is hitting the mark for me and i can't wait for more.

If i had a negative, it would be the lady, Amitra? But i think she'll grow on me as her story builds, hoping she hasn't been brought in just for a GL tickbox, but time will tell, enjoyed her intro scene, just unsure on how she fits currently.

For those giving a low rating, i'm very confused, if i ever felt strongly enough about a show to rate it low i would always wait for it to be complete before i do as shows need room to grow, and this is growing into an epic!

Update as now on episode 5, and still obsessed, some good character development, great relationships forming, not just couples but between Phatsa and Napitch is really interesting. Also the preview for next week is just too much, how can we fast forward to this time next week, or just 15th September when i can re-watch it all the way through!
