Oh my

It feels like this episode finally brought all of the inevitable struggles out into the open. However, what really bothered me was that both of them kept making foolish decisions. The fact that two fully grown adults could think and act so immaturely at times was honestly one of the most disappointing aspects of this episode.

Instead of acting on their own, they should have sat down and had an honest conversation about their situation. They should have shared their thoughts, discussed their concerns, and figured out together what the best course of action would be. Watching them make unilateral decisions and act independently without properly communicating with each other was incredibly frustrating.

As I mentioned earlier, this is something the story was bound to go through eventually. And since there are still more episodes left, all I can really do as a viewer is wait and see how the writers are going to resolve and develop this frustrating situation moving forward.

I'm hating the spoiled brother

I'm hating the fact how the brother Yi Chen could do no wrong and he is the favorite child. Everyone caters to him and he manipulates his whole family while all the pressure is on Xiao Chen. So tired of the mother using her homophobic ways to get a manipulate for son Xiao Chen while Yi Chen lives, cares & loves his partner without any guilt or peer pressure from the family. The mother is a damn hypocrite. sorry, but I don't feel at all sorry for her death. I believe in true Karma and that's what Lu Feng's father & Xiao Chen's mother received. I just hate waiting a whole week for two more episodes I should have waited till it was done so I can binge watch it all in one day like I normally do. LOL but this story is literally upsetting me and so many ways. As a mother of three children I want the best for my children and only their happiness no matter who gives it to them.

another "fun" ep, ugh the heartburn…

another "fun" ep, ugh the heartburn this is giving me, it's like a train wreck in motion, where u see it going off the rails in slow-motion & u know it's gonna be bad, but u also don't have the power to help or stop it. in this ep we actually see Lu Feng start his villain arc, as if it wasn't enough that his father already started the process with yrs of abuse - psychical & mental, Xiao Chen & his family put the final nail in the coffin & pushed him over the edge. ***************************************************************yeah i get that Xiao Chen didn't want to, but was between a rock & a hard place cause of his mother, but lets face facts even before & even now, the one that suffered more was Lu Feng. Xiao Chen after the initial storm died down (after the revelation of him being gay) could move on with his life. he might've missed Lu Feng dearly & suffered mentally, but Lu Feng suffered psychical & mental - he was a bird in a gilded cage. he suffered so much so his sister thought up the fake engagement as his mans of escaping back to the homeland, so he could have a chance of facing Xiao Chen again. ************************************& i am sorry but if Xiao Chen couldn't bring back his significant other to the New Year's celebration at home, neither should Yi Chen. but he is a spoilt brat from start to finish. he couldn't even be considerate of his older brother. & he had multiple opportunities to bridge the gap between mother & son. let alone just give his brother they were on their way home. but why worry? that's too much work - so call me evil but as i didn't care when Lu Feng's father got at attack or died, i don't care that Xiao Chen's mother is in the hospital or that his brother might be paralyzed, if anything i feel like it's karma for being a sh*tty little sh*t. & sorry but this time around i think Qin Lang was in the wrong & just added to the problem. yeah i am hating on everyone in this ep - everyone but Lu Feng, i just feel sad for him. ******************************************************************dude gave up everything for love & time & again got abandoned & hurt, but it's ok cause he's the "top"!?? nope - so now whatever he does i can't really say anything as when someone is broken, they aint in the right frame of might to judge right from wrong, let alone which boundary u don't cross. he will be blinded by rage & as long as he gets his target - regardless of who they r - anyone & everything will be fair game & i get that.

Sorry

Love the mls. Hate theway this episode was depicted. Felt emphasis on the intrusive female and the wedding set this series back. Lacked ingenuity and is not a love story but an expose on physical and mental manipulation .

A Mother’s Love, A Son’s Pain

Everyone will hate the mother, but there are always two sides to every story. In a place where same sex relationships are still not accepted, remember China is a lot harder than Western countries and in a culture where family reputation means everything, her choices come from fear, from survival, from love twisted by pressure she has carried for too long. She lost her husband. She raised her sons alone through years of struggle. Every penny she saved was for them to build a future, even as she denied herself medicine while sickness slowly took her body. A mother who gives everything does not always know how to let go when her children grow in a direction she never imagined. But what she did wrong was wanting both her sons to be “normal” . And blaming Yi Chen for “corrupting” his younger brother. Love like that cannot be taught or stolen. Sexuality is not something that can be changed or influenced, no matter who people want to blame.I have seven older siblings who are straight, a younger brother who is also straight, and I am gay. No one influenced me. Just as I did not influence my brother. It simply is what it is.She loves her sons deeply, but love without understanding can still hurt. Forcing marriage, rejecting who they are, speaking from pain instead of acceptance, it breaks what she is trying so desperately to protect. And still, I feel sorrow for her too. A mother trying to hold onto a world that is slipping away from her, afraid of losing her family in every possible way.Yi Chen is caught in something unbearable. On one side, a dying mother begging. On the other, the person he loves most. You can find another lover in time, but you cannot replace a mother. It is not a simple choice. It is grief on both sides. Sacrifice on both sides. And no matter what he chooses, someone will be broken.
