At age 38, Aso Haruto works as a basic research physician at a university hospital, specializing in cerebellar degenerative diseases. While pouring himself into his research and guiding medical students at the university, he begins to trace back to the starting point of why he aspired to become a doctor in the first place. That origin dates back to his high school days, when a young Haruto met Ikeuchi Aya and spent irreplaceable, precious days together with her. Aya lived in the present moment more strongly than anyone else, even as she fought against a difficult, incurable illness known as spinocerebellar degeneration.
