Cinematic Masterpiece ?
I absolutely love this show so far. I’m already planning snacks for when it’s time to binge it from scratch. The acting from everyone is great but the two leads is phenomenal. The chemistry is insane. As someone who follows pairs that have been working for years this chemistry feels seasoned even though it’s not.Then you add on the actual plot. A movie inside a show. It really is such a unique take and very entertaining. I feel like I’m watching two things at once while everything still feels very connected an easy to follow. They are doing a fantastic job immersing you into the plot of the actual character as well as bringing you into the art of a movie they are making. You can feel the lines blur. The emotions that run past the cut, the lingering in the eyes.. you can feel the desire being built and it’s so captivating.
The production and score as well, you can tell they took time with this. It’s very well made and very cinematic. The music fits with every scene. I haven’t had a moment where the quality or set design or song has pulled me from the world as I watch it and that’s when you know it’s well done.
I can’t wait to watch more. Definitely at the top of my list for 2026 and I’m watching a lot of great shows!

Inception-esque
I have seen a lot of bad series defended lately as "art". This one actually deserves that title. The series focuses on two actors filming another series and falling into lust/love along the way. We truly see more of the second series than we do Deep In, but I'm certain it's intentionally to keep you drawn in the way the actors find themselves drawn in. The chemistry between the two leads is not perfection, but I'm not upset about it either. The story itself moves so well that I have to look and see if the glasses are on or off to know which series we're supposed to be in at the moment. That might sound like a negative comment, but I assure you it is not. Looking forward to see how they wrap this one up.Was this review helpful to you?

NOW THATS HOW YOU DO A BL
Not even going to hold you gagaoolala lost my trust after that fuckass ending of 'lost to you'. but this one was sooo good the plot was 10/10, i loved it so much and i also really liked how when they were acting in the show the screen would get slimmer so you would know whats outside of them acting in the show, i really liked the ending it was cute that he kept his ring but the ending also did have me on the edge of my seat because i wasnt exspecting a breakup nor for that fake priest to scam granny out her money now that was just dead wrong, the acting in the beginning of episode 12 was so fucking amazing i loved the sob homeboy let out like it was very realistic i just dont like how they let that girl use that f word and im not talking about cigs.Was this review helpful to you?
Flawless from Start to Finish
I really loved the cinematography, the direction, and the actors' performances. Man, this drama was so well written. It was truly top-notch, and I would definitely watch it again in the future.This drama made me feel so many things. Both actors did such an amazing job portraying their characters, and the way both storylines transitioned was so well done. I honestly don't have enough words to express how good it was.
I can't wait to watch the upcoming dramas of all the actors who worked on this project because they were all incredible. Not only did the main actors shine, but the supporting cast also gave amazing performances.
Usually, in BL genre, something always feels lacking, whether it's the story, the acting, the production, or something else. But this drama got everything right. The acting, the production, the cinematography, the direction, every aspect was outstanding. I honestly didn't expect it to be this good.
For me, this drama is easily one of the best in the BL genre. It's definitely in my top three, and honestly, I think it's my number one. I don't think any of the existing dramas in this genre can compare to it right now.
I was also really happy that each episode was around 40 minutes long because we don't usually get episodes that long in this genre. Having 12 episodes was another huge plus.
Overall, this drama was just so good. I would definitely rewatch it in the future, and I'm really looking forward to the upcoming projects of everyone who was part of it.

Another series that I'm really going to miss watching every week. 🤍For their first series together, they did an amazing job. The chemistry, the story, and the emotions all came together so well, making it easy to look forward to each new episode.

10 on 10 for sure
I don't know how anyone can give lesser rating than 10 for this epic drama. Not once I thought to drop this. The drama in this drama had me hooked crazy. Two leads were simply extraordinary and the chemistry is on peaks. The only regret I had is their emotional connection. Yes they have chemistry but I didn't find love their eyes other than that the story is extraordinary. The first episode itself hooked me and the kiss in the first episode and the way zhen lost control while kissing and had to take a breath before diving into it again is just wow. Do not drop this drama at all. Chinese ramas are going to next level drama to drama.Was this review helpful to you?
A story within a story within a...
This series had me absolutely glued to my screen for every minute of every episode. The inner weavings of the filming of the BL series and the actors falling for each other and all of the complications that came from it drenched every corner of this story with intrigue. There were moments that the filmed series became so captivating that when the director yelled 'cut' it felt like the audience was also waking from the inner story with the actors. There's only been very few series / films I've watched that have managed to keep my attention this well. And even in the end, when you're sure you know everything, you realize maybe you didn't.Truth be told, I think the more you watch this series, the deeper in you'll find yourself in love with it.
I honestly don't have many things to say about this in a negative capacity. If I really wanted to nitpick, I guess I could, but for what it IS and the quality of it as a whole along with the exceptional acting of Ollie and Shu Yuan, this is sliding into my all time favorite BL list and making it an EASY contender for best CBL of the year.

Deep In accomplishes something very difficult to do: it tells two complete and equally compelling stories at the same time.The series follows the "real-life" story of two actors who fall in love while filming a romance movie, while also immersing us in the story of the film they're making. What makes it even more impressive is that both narratives are carefully developed, emotionally engaging, and wrapped up in a satisfying way without leaving any loose ends.
The actors' story is absolutely captivating. From the very first episode, their connection pulls you in and makes you root for them every step of the way. At the same time, the story within the movie delivers a powerful emotional impact, adding another layer of drama that keeps you fully invested throughout the series.
The performances are one of the show's greatest strengths. The chemistry between the leads feels effortless and authentic, and their intimacy shines through in every scene, making the romance even more believable and heartfelt. On top of that, the character development is outstanding, allowing each of them to grow naturally in ways that feel both compelling and rewarding to watch.
Deep In stands out as one of the most iconic and innovative BLs of recent years. Without a doubt, it's a high-quality BL and an absolute must-watch!

When Method Acting Shatters Reality: A Rare Partnership of Equals
One of the few BLs that features a true partnership of equals, rather than a standard "weak vs. strong" trope. Physically, they are almost equally matched. Both are actors, with the famous one having far more to lose, and both start out as seemingly real-world straight men with official girlfriends. The only other BLs I've seen with this kind of equal footing are KinnPorsche and Dare You to Death.Both actors are good-looking with decent acting skills. Ollie, in particular, is exceptional at micro-expressions, displaying a brilliant capability of conveying deep emotions without words or even actions.
I love how "Deep In" captures a chaotic gay awakening brought on by extreme method acting, where both leads genuinely believe they are straight until their off-screen realities completely unravel because of their on-screen chemistry.

Wow… just wow! 🔥 This BL drama is so hot, romantic, and completely addictive. Damn! 😅 Every single episode is full of fireworks. I absolutely love both storylines, they’re equally captivating.The chemistry between the leads is amazing! I honestly don’t know how they managed to film those scenes with straight faces. I would be laughing the whole time… and I’d definitely need tissues in every episode (not for tears 🤣).
The scenes are soooo hot… deeeem! 🥵 Definitely use headphones (or earbuds) 😅🤣. The passion and tension are beyond my expectations. Just wow!

Chemistry
Pure addiction.....never watched a series Nd already be hooked with just 5 episodes.This series right here is addiction inside addition,love the chemistry,love the characters,love the setting...like nothing is missing,my heart was like pounding since ep3 ,the adrenaline rush...I'm hyped👌👌👌

They get right into it
First episode and they're already making out. Wow.Story plot and amazing acting. Both leads are gorgeous.
Love the way they both pretend they're acting/reharsing and getting all into it. I just don't like the fact that they're both taken and somehow don't seem to have no problem with all the kissing and getting handsy with eachother.
The plot seems strong, love the overall premises and I'm definitely looking forward to each new episode.
Would recommend.
