I personally like this drama because i like love triangles and a more intense love story. This drama potrays a realistic story though u might not like the female lead for her decisions in the beginning of the drama, just to give some more idea on the plot, she chose to live with someone who can help her in her financial situation, while choosing to do so, she abandon her childhood lover who has been faithful and loves her dearly.
What i might not like in this drama is the fact that she chose to be in love with someone she just knew and dump her longtime boyfriend/father/brother ' thats what she said' and explaining it to him in such a cruel way ending up hurting him. But Tae sung and her make a good couple as they get married.
Though at first i hoped she would go back to her first boyfriend, but knowing he find someone else he deserve by the end of the drama kinda helps a lot.

Big ships init!

Unnecessarily long for such a casual story, the ships weren't interesting enough to fill the gaps. There wasn't much chemistry between the leads. Both male lead sucked. All the relationships sucked, romantic and non-romantic ones. By the end, I couldn't care less who would end up with who. The first half was purely about the love square. The second half was about business and ships. The drama trick you to think that Kim Hyun Min is the main lead but you'll quickly realize that Se Ra become the lead and occupying more than 80% of screen time. Despite all she did, the drama painted her in a favorable light. While Hyun Min remained insignificant. This is the biggest problem the drama had.

genuinely what the fuck was this

i genuinely dont know how this drama managed to have THIS much going on and still be this boring. it couldnt decide if it wanted to be a messy love square makjang, a business drama or some fake prestige “international” drama where they threw random white people into hotel lobbies and boardrooms, made everyone speak the most painful english imaginable.

and somehow except for choi yeo jin, nobody in this drama could act??? which was crazy because these werent even complete nobody actors. hyun min and se ra especially had ZERO chemistry. they felt like two coworkers who got told five minutes before filming that they were supposed to be dating.

se ra was also such a disappointment. i expected an ambitious femme fatale social climber and instead got “oppa youre not gonna leave me for the rich girl right” every five minutes. meanwhile hyun min wasnt even as innocent as the synopsis made him sound because tae hee was VERY obviously into him and he still kept entertaining her while acting like se ra was crazy for being jealous. sir be serious.

ironically tae hee/hyun min were the only reason i kept watching. choi yeo jin actually had presence and somehow those two had more chemistry in a few scenes than the supposed main couple had in the entire drama.

also i guess there really WAS a reason this flopped hard in korea. everyone involved financially deserved compensation for having their time and budget wasted.. easily one of the top 10 most boring kdramas ive ever watched.

i ended up skipping through a lot of this shit and mostly watching tae hee/hyun min scenes because somehow THEY became the only plot i cared about.
