Since no-one has written a review for this heartwarming and tender drama I decided to write one to give it some attention it deserves. The drama focuses on Yuzu's story as a mentally disabled young woman who raises a child against all odds. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this endearing drama. Having experience of working with children who have severe learning difficulties I found Yuzu's story very relatable. Their behavior is unpredictable and they do have difficulty in processing information but they feel emotions just like everyone else and just want to be accepted. The discrimination she faces are real, the challenges she faces are real and to go through all this while raising a child is truly inspiring. The drama pulls away from being too heavy by providing many lighthearted and warm moments between Yuzu and her daughter. It focuses on the importance of family and friendships and it demonstrated that with the right support and loving care people like Yuzu can thrive and succeed in society. The acting was brilliant by all the cast and no doubt Yuzu's daughter Himawari will steal your heart away. Personally this is why I love Japanese dramas so much because their simple stories can really capture the audience's heart. If you like very good quality, heartwarming and meaningful dramas then I can highly recommend Daisuki.

From childishness from prejudice to moral and ethical lessons! A drama above all elucidated, informative and humanitarian.
"Daisuki !!" Brings the premise that mental deficiency is not necessarily a barrier that prevents one from loving and educating.
A mother whom society judges to be "inept" to care for and educate her offspring demonstrates and each of the ten chapters her willpower and demystify this false stereotype which is nothing more than the obverse form of this majority's prejudice.
The correct thing would be to call these beings who abandon their offspring even though they are "fit" of the mentally incapable.
"Daisuki !!" Has an iconic dilemma, how will a child care for a child?
In the course of this dilemma begins to be elucidated in a dramatic and often comical way with the funny situations of Yuzu.
In addition to the plot the acting cast deserves special mention, Karina especially who took the prize of best actress in the 56th Television Drama Academy Award and 11th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix thanks to its exceptional performance in the drama!
"Daisuki !!" Is far from bordering on perfection, it takes elements to compose a drama that, for critics, is perfect. The purpose of "Daisuki !!" It is not to be perfect but to be a beautiful drama, which informs us that it educates and leads people to reflect on their actions in the day to day, to at least make this hypocritical and selfish world a little better to live, thanks to the commitment and strength Of the will of the minority that still lends but is almost outlawed and extinct, thanks to the depravity of the "new society."
