Both of them have Joe Chen. She's the strong female lead again who can stand up for herself. It's another period drama. Funny aspect. Both dramas had kisses in 1st episode. Both is love hate relationship.

Police officer Pang Hong Mei amid the many obstacles created by U.S. and Jiang spy agents, rescued Ji Danyang, a patriotic scientist who returned from the United States from the enemy spy. She accompanied Ji Danyang to Lumen City to participate in the "Water Drop Project". Enemy special forces formulated a sabotage plan codenamed "Operation Rock" and concentrated their forces and tried to destroy the "Water Drop Project." Pang Hongmei and Ji Dan Yang fought a life-and-death battle with enemy agents in Lumen, thwarted the enemy's conspiracy, protected the "Water Drop Project" and finally achieved the expected success. The couple who went through the test of life and death, also realized their dreams and firm ideals.

They are both republican era dramas. The male leads are wealthy, but were somehow poor or not as wealthy when young. The female leads were both rich in the beginning and the family was wronged in a way. The female lead also blames the male lead for the misfortune upon her family. Cruel Romance is a lot more violent, well bc the male lead is kinda like a mob boss, but not really. In The cage of love, it was slow and a lot more of an innocent love.

They both have a cool, pokerfaced, 'attractive' male lead. And a girl who is a bit naive. both have happy endings with a lot of love. the difference is that itzaura na kiss is about school life, whereas cruel romance is between two people that are living in a big city and are a bit older. Both are cute and have funny and sad scenes.

There are a lot of similarities between these two. First of all the main female lead is the same actress and the second male lead in both of these is the same. If you watch cruel romance, remember ying dong? Well his brother in cruel romance is playing his father in stay with me. I find that a bit weird, but his character still does everything he can for his family. Also the main lead in here also does so much for the female lead in secret, like in cruel romance. The main female lead does some crappy things to the main lead as well. Also there is the situation of "killing" her father.

In a course of dramatic events Female lead from small town ends up in a big city where she tries to reconcile with her long lost sister, falling into forced relationship with mafia Male Lead which of course turns into real love. Sister is a singer, male lead saves female lead every 5 minutes, lots of long angry stares which are supposed to be cool. Probable Stockholm syndrome? Otherwise any feelings by FL make no sense. Gets very boring after ML and FL acknowledge their love because there is no further story past "and they lived happily ever after".

While CR is written during the China Republic And. ILMPTHP is set in modern times I feelthe characters are very similar. A strong dominating ML with a weak FL that comes from hating him to loving him. While the ML changes from cold hearted to deeply caring and protective.

Both are romantic, action-packed dramas about battling gangs and a girl that unintentionally gets caught up in the middle of the battle of power. Both dramas have a girl that draw the attention of powerful gang leaders who are intrigued to the fact that the girl has no ulterior motive for helping them.
Both dramas have a main female character who looks identical to one of the character’s first, deceased loves. In Cruel Romance the girl looks like the main villain’s love from back in Japan. While in Karn La Krang Neung... Nai Hua Jia the main girl looks like the main love interest’s first love.
Both dramas have suspense, comedy, sorrow, and enough hand-to-hand combat and shootouts to keep you on the edge of your seat.

If you like Mafia based romance this one is a must see. Unlike traditional dramas the female lead in this is spunky and super rebellious. She refuses to go down without a fight and the male lead loves that part about her.

They both entail a complicated love story a similar time period. Both have complicated love stories and fate tearing them apart. Both have militaristic and political plotlines carrying the story as well. These are both two love stories with misunderstandings and trials carrying them til the end.
