I actually started this drama because I am such a die hard fan of the manga so I have no expectations whatsoever since I thought I knew the storyline.

Got surprise tho. The first episode was quite typical crime drama style. Then from the second episode onward this drama is seriously too good to pass. The pace for second episode is fast, a good kind of fast and everything started to grip your attention. And by the end of every episode you will want more. Too bad there are only nine episodes, the grip of this story is awesome.

Yamada, our Johnny's boy acting is very good here, I'm impressed. I approved how he played Kindaichi. The other's acting was good too tho some guest character's acting went overboard or too plain but the storyline made up that flaws.

The OST, Weekender is a very nice song but I am a Johnny's bias so that is expected from me. But really, it is very catchy. The sound effects they used in this drama are very suitable, I am very fond of the school bell's sound effect, managed to get your attention.

Overall, I really recommend this drama to those Kindaichi's fan and those that are new to Kindaichi. There are no scenes too brutal, all the murder scenes are mild. Those that are used to Kindaichi will know the difficulty level of the case and for those that are new, you will wreck your brain on how to solve the crime from the beginning. Go watch it, worth your time.

To be honest... I only started to watch this drama because a few of my biased actors are in the cast. Kamiki Ryunosuke, Chiba Yudai, and... Narimiya Hiroki! Ever since I watched the movie "Drop", I've been in love. Narimiya's talent, skill, personality, looks, mindset, and his voice (yes his voice) completely drew me in! ....ahem!! anyways...

Yamada Ryosuke is pretty fantastic in this series, too! The script is written really well, and Yamada plays with a fantastic, witty, ingenious personality! It was good to see Kawaguchi Haruna, Arioka Daiki, and Asari Yosuke, too! The script may have been my favorite part of this series because the writers and the actors seemed to show their own personal talents and most definitely worked well together! This may not be a good drama for first time watchers, mostly because this is the end (i think) of the Kindaichi detective/crime/mystery serial series so they may miss out on some background info... BUT!!! I watched the special "Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo Gokumon Juku Satsujin Jiken" and got through this series just fine!!

p.s.: i know theres another drama before the one specified above, but.... i didnt watch that one... sorry!

[WARNING: the rating and review I give have the possibility to be subjective due to my preference for the genres, scenes or casts]

Ryosuke is so funny and ridiculous (in a good way) playing Hajime (^o^) But too bad (in my taste) he's too 'beautiful' XD What I love from this series is that it didn't have a big differences with the manga, the detail is also there so I don’t have the difficulty to understand the plot. And there's Narimiya Hiroki playing there (♡°▽°♡) I just hope the episodes longer than 9 (^_^;)
