The K-movie 12.12: The Day has surpassed 9 million viewers in just 27 days since its release.

According to the integrated ticketing network for cinemas, as of 11:15 a.m. on December 18, the total number of moviegoers 12.12: The Day has reached counts to 9,001,850.

Continuing its strong performance into its fifth week, 12.12: The Day maintains high viewer ratings across various platforms, including a 99% on the CGV Golden Egg Index, a film rating system of CGV based on an algorithm of moviegoer reviews, a 9.6 rating on Megabox, a 9.7 on Lotte Cinema's ratings, and a 9.59 rating from Naver's audience. 

Additionally, 12.12: The Day has emerged as the highest-grossing Korean film of November, marking an unprecedented box office success.

12.12: The Day depicts the nine intense hours of the emergency to prevent the rebellion of the new military regime that occurred in Seoul on December 12, 1979. It is the first Korean film based on the subject of the 12.12 military rebellion.
