The Chinese historical drama Brocade Odyssey, starring Tan Song YunZheng Ye ChengJing Chao, and Chen Xiao Yun, among others, has confirmed its release date for November 30.

Adapted from Zhuang Zhuang's novel "Shu Brocade Family," Brocade Odyssey follows Ji Ying Ying, a young lady from the Huanhua Dyeing Workshop in Yizhou, entrusted with the family's secret dyeing formula during a critical time. The story portrays her efforts to bring the Shu (an ancient Chinese Kingdom) brocade to the Silk Road. Despite facing threats, Ji Ying Ying remains unwavering and resolute in her efforts. Later, she spreads the unique weaving and dyeing techniques of Shu brocade overseas.

In the late Tang Dynasty, the beauty of Shu brocade was renowned all over the world. It was highly sought after by nobles, and within the military, brocade could even be used as a substitute for pay.

As a result, Shu brocade became the focal point of intense power struggles among various factions. Amid the thriving brocade industry in Yizhou, undercurrents of conflict ran deep.

The Ji family of Yizhou produces the coveted "Shu Red Silk," a treasure so rare it earned the saying, "In front of Shu Red, all other reds lose color."

Ji Ying Ying (Tan Song Yun), the young daughter of the Ji family, was gifted with intelligence and a passion for silk dyeing. Her talents gradually began to shine.

However, Zhao Xiu Yuan (Zhang Hao Wei), the son of the wealthy Zhao family of brocade weavers, creates obstacles for the Ji family at every turn.

Yang Jing Lan (Zheng Ye Cheng), the son of the prestigious Yang family, returns after years of studying abroad, bearing the title of Jin Guan (Brocade Officer). Though dismissed as a "short-lived official" in a token position, this seemingly frivolous young master lies low, maneuvering carefully to uncover the truth behind an unsolved mystery from years ago.

Meanwhile, Ji Ying Ying's exceptional dyeing techniques earn her widespread fame in Shu, drawing the attention of Cheng Feng Ze, the White King of Nanzhao, who has long coveted the secret methods of the local brocade families.

As Nanzhao's encroachment intensifies, Yizhou faces turbulent times. Ji Ying Ying courageously steps forward, risking her life to protect the artisans under her care. Meanwhile, Yang Jing Lan ventures into Nanzhao, joining forces with Ying Ying to negotiate with their enemy. Together, they revive the brocade industry and leave behind a legendary tale of Shu brocade.

Tan Song Yun plays the leading role of Ji Ying Ying.

Zheng Ye Cheng plays the male lead, Yang Jing Lan. Yang Jing Lan, the illegitimate third son of the prestigious Yang family, is skilled in martial arts. Following the deaths of his father and mother, Yang Jing Lan joined the military.

Slaying a Nanzhao general and earning multiple military achievements rose him to a high reputation.

Jing Chao plays Cheng Feng Ze, the son of the former king of Nanzhao. He was born to a lowly weaver woman abducted from Yizhou. This lineage doomed him to be ineligible for the throne. Growing up under Nanzhao's brutal ethos, Cheng Feng Ze developed a cruel character. He abhors weaknesses and relies on strategic acumen to achieve his goals.

Wang Yi Nuo plays Niu Wu Niang. She is the ambitious daughter of General Niu Jin. Niu Wu Niang comes from a family where women are seen merely as tools to secure political alliances. Her four elder sisters were married off to different city officials in the city. However, Niu Wu Niang was unwilling to submit to this fate. She lost two husbands, earning a reputation for being cursed. She showcases her intelligence and strategic acumen to her father, ultimately gaining a portion of his power.
