0000's Top 3 Rising Young Stars

The sooner, the better. Why? For experience, the training--and let's be honest--for the fame. This is what child or teenage actors strive to accomplish nowadays. For this list, I've picked the best 3 rising young stars among all the junior actors that I know deserve attention. If you would please bear with me for this brief moment, let's see why I think these 3 young stars are promising and how good they are.

1. Ashida Mana

The first time I saw Ashida Mana was when she had a guest role in Liar Game: Reborn. She played a serious little girl and without even realizing, somehow, I thought she was beautiful, to be honest. Thus began my following of this incredibly talented young actress, because afterwards I kept up with some of her best work.

One of which is the drama, Mother, because it melted my heart and made me fall in love with her. She played a little girl named Michiki Reina rescued by her homeroom teacher from an abusive mother. At that time, she was only 6 years old and yet she acted with such ease--it was her first role ever! I mean, I imagine it is really difficult for a child to call  another person 'mother,' especially when having to cry when saying those words. I really believe she succeeded in transmitting the right emotions in a very convincing way.

Don't believe me? Just look at the facts. She actually won an award for Best Supporting Actress at the 14th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix and a Special Award at the 4th Tokyo Drama Awards for her role in this television drama. In doing so, she became the youngest Japanese actress to ever win such awards.
Now, Mother is no 1 Litre of Tears, but it is a definite tear jerker. When she was happy, I was smiling with all the joy in life; when she was crying, I was bawling my eyes out. Watching Mother was a good experience mostly because of her amazing ability to act at such a young age. I hope she continues to grow, and may some day become an even greater actress in the future.

Ashida Mana has also starred in the drama Beautiful Rain as well as the movie Usagi Drop in 2011 with Matsuyama Kenichi.
Mana, GANBATTE!

2. Kim Sae Ron

The first movie that comes to my mind is The Man from Nowhere where she played the role of So Mi Jeong, a girl who sympathizes with a pawnshop keeper in order to escape from her troubled mother.

Her acting is really good, of course, otherwise she would not be acting alongside Won Bin. She even won a Best New Actress award at the 8th Korean Film Awards. One of the things I really like about her is her professional image. From what I know, unlike others, she doesn't go on variety TV shows--or any kind of self promoting event for that matter. In my opinion, she is probably one of the most focused young actors of today as she is strictly focused on perfecting her ability to become a top actress.

Not only is she in this world renown movie, but another one of her best works include her role in A Brand New Life. Aside from her talent, I bet her innocent appeal is what makes her best suited for roles in sad, psychological, suspense movies. You can also see her in several hit dramas, especially the great Can you hear my Heart!

Guess what? Surprise, surprise! She's not the only one in her family that acts. Her younger sisters Ah-Ron and Ye-Ron also have experience in acting. In fact, Ah Ron is a very familiar face in the movies, Barbie and Perfect Number, and the youngest of the three, Ye Ron, made her debut in the movie, The Cat.  I'm curious about the outcome 10 or 15 years from now--it will be a killer trio! Watch out for the Kim sisters.

Sae Ron, FIGHTING!

3. Yeo Jin Goo

Most recently, I have seen Jin Goo act in the first 4 episodes of Missing youwhere he played the younger version of Han Jung Woo. Currently at the age of 15, he seems to lack nothing! (1) He's handsome. (2) He's tall. (3) He has a beautiful smile! Need I say  more?

In my opinion, his acting was average in Missing You, since I preferred YooChun's version of the character. Still, considering his age, he was incredibly good in his own right. On that note, I liked him more in Sad Movie. He was--go figure--a sad and lonely little boy longing for his mother. His acting really touched me in this movie. It was actually the first time I realized that his eyes are a really attractive feature. It's probably--dare I say--his MOST attractive feature to be honest.

He has also acted in the hit drama The Moon That Embraces The Sun as the younger version of Lee Hwon (played by Kim Soo Hyun), and he was brilliant.

He's doing really well!
Jin Goo, Aja FIGHTING!
Hope he doesn't run in Jung Joo Ri when he grows up. :)

What strikes me is how innocent children can act such difficult roles. It's looks really hard for us, but it's simple for them since--in a way--they don't really know life. You just need to tell them to imagine one of their favorite foods destroyed and they're crying...Well, that's a hypothesis, but kids are usually crying-babies anyways imo ;p
