"A Time Called You" Ahn Hyo Seop, Jeon Yeo Been, and Kang Hoon in a Time-Twisting Romance

On the 18th, Netflix unveiled character stills of Ahn Hyo Seop, Jeon Yeo Been, and Kang Hoon from the series A Time Called You. The drama follows Jun Hee (played by Jeon Yeo Been), who longs for her boyfriend, who disappeared a year ago. As fate would have it, she slips back to 1998, where she encounters Si Heon (played by Ahn Hyo Seop), who looks identical to her boyfriend, and his friend In Kyu (played by Kang Hoon), leading to a mysterious romance.

Jun Hee, who mourns her long-lost lover Yeon Jun (played by Ahn Hyo Seop) due to a sudden accident, is transported to 1998 through an old cassette tape that arrives as a package. However, at that time, she found herself as a high school student named Min Joo (played by Jeon Yeo Been).

Moreover, she encounters Si Heon, who has the same face as Yeon Joon, and Si Heon's close friend In Kyu. Meeting the same face from a different timeline with a different name leaves Jun Hee (played by Jeon Yeo Been) confused. The released stills capture the actors portraying different roles in 2023 and 1998, showing their contrasting appearances, youthful romance, and the mystery that intertwines them.

In A Time Called You, the actors play dual roles and express their thoughts about their characters. Ahn Hyo Seop, who plays Yeon Jun, who tragically passes away in a sudden plane crash while preparing a proposal for Jun Hee's departure to New York, shared, 

"I felt the charm of being able to portray different aspects of the character according to the time difference."

Jeon Yeo Been brings life to both confident and lively Jun Hee and the introverted high school student Min Joo, emphasizing the importance of belief in her characters. She said, 

"The most important thing was believing. When I was Min Joo, I believed I was Min Joo; when I was Jun Hee, I believed I was Jun Hee." 

She explained how she focused on the different perspectives and reactions that Min Joo and Jun Hee have towards Yeon Joon and Si Heon.

Kang Hoon, who portrays In Kyu, described his character's emotional changes in detail, stating, 

"Although he may appear weak on the surface, I focused on portraying In Kyu's rational, calm, and deep-thinking character and his subtle emotional shifts."

A Time Called You is set to be released on Netflix worldwide in over 190 countries on September 8th.
