Jun Ji Hyun was caught up in divorce rumors and her agency finally speaks up about it.

On June 3rd, Jun Ji Hyun's agency Culture Depot shared their side regarding the rumors. The agency strongly denied Jun Ji Hyun and her husband's divorce rumors, stating that they will take strong legal actions against those who spread false information and distorted truth including the YouTube channel, Garo Sero Institute. The said YouTube channel is one of the most influential right-wing political and entertainment outlets in Korea, and was the first to spread the divorce speculation. The actress and her agency will also file charges against other media outlets who continue to spread the rumors and malicious comments. 

Jun Ji Hyun's divorce rumors circulated on June 2nd, claiming that the reason why 39-year-old actress decided to file a divorce was due to her husband's infidelity. Reports also stated that the actress and her husband haven’t been together since December 2020.

Jun Ji Hyun got married in 2012 to non-showbiz businessman, Choi Joon Hyuk. Choi Joon Hyuk is the grandson of the famous hanbok designer Lee Young Hee and son of fashion designer Lee Jung Woo. The actress and her spouse have 2 young children, aged 3 and 5, and have been married for 9 years. 

Jun Ji Hyun is involved on highly anticipated projects. She is set to star on two upcoming Netflix originals titled "Kingdom: Ashin of the North," and "Cliffhanger" together with Joo Ji Hoon, Sung Dong Il, Oh Jung Se, Jo Han Chul, and Jun Suk Ho. She previously starred in the 2016 drama "The Legend of the Blue Sea" with Lee Min Ho nd was also part of the series "You Who Came from the Stars," "Happy Together," and "Steal My Heart."

Aside from dramas, Jun Ji Hyun also gained worldwide fame from several hit movies such as "Assassination," "The Berlin File," "Windstruck," "My Sassy Girl," and more.

Choi Joon Hyuk, husband of actress Jun Ji Hyun, dismissed the divorce speculations with cuteness and wit, quoting a scene from the popular sports manga series Slam Dunk.

“I don’t want to be Jeon Ji Hyun’s husband, I want to be Jeon-jeon (Jeon Ji Hyun)’s husband!” 

In this regard, Jeon Ji Hyun's agency issued an official statement on the same day saying, "It is clear that any rumors related to Jun Ji Hyun's divorce and separation are purely speculative."
