All main casts of "Taxi Driver" to return to its second season!

"Taxi Driver 2" is confirmed and all the employees of Rainbow taxi will return!

On June 9th SBS confirmed that Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, and Bae Yoo Ram will be returning to the new season of "Taxi Driver." 

It was also confirmed that "Taxi Driver 2" will premiere in the first half of 2023 and it will exclusively air on SBS. 

"Taxi Driver 2" will base its story on the webtoon of the same name. Just like the first season, the drama will narrate the stories of victims who are not protected by law and how the Rainbow taxi company will do its best to help them. 

Lee Je Hoon will return as Kim Do Gi, the driver of the deluxe taxi. Kim Eui Sung will play as Jang Sung Chul, the CEO of the Rainbow taxi company, Pyo Ye Jin as the genius hacker named Ahn Go Eun, and Jang Hyuk Jin and Bae Yoo Ram as Choi and Park, the engineers of the team. 

The first season was directed by Park Joon Woo and written by Oh Sang Ho and Lee Ji Hyun. There are still no details yet if they will also return on the new production. 

The first season of the drama garnered high ratings last year. The drama received over 16 percent in ratings according to Nielsen Korea.

Aside from that, they are the fourth-highest ratings of any Friday-Saturday drama in SBS history. "Taxi Driver" followed “The Penthouse 2: War in Life,” “The Fiery Priest,” and “Hot Stove League" in all-time SBS ratings. 

Many are already anticipating the new season of "Taxi Driver."

"Taxi Driver 2" will be Lee Je Hoon's first confirmed project for 2023. He last starred in the 2021 Netflix original series "Move to Heaven" with Tang Jun Sang, Hong Seung Hee, Jung Suk Yong, Jung Young Joo, and Lee Moon Shik. 

Lee Je Hoon is also set to star in the upcoming film "Escape" with Koo Kyo Hwan. 

The actor is known for being part of the dramas "Where Stars Land," "Tomorrow With You," "Signal," "Fashion King," and more.
