Another Korean Netflix original series becomes a hit!
On January 31st OTT ranking website Flix Patrol shared that the original series "All Of Us Are Dead" has topped Netflix global charts for two consecutive days. The drama is the third Korean original series to achieve this record. The other two original series that were mentioned are "Squid Game" and "Hellbound."
"All Of Us Are Dead" premiered on Netflix on January 28th. It took the first spot in the Netflix TV program category after its release.
The series was number one in countries such as Australia, Austria, Brazil, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Meanwhile, it ranked second in Japan and third in the United States.
Last year, "Squid Game" became the longest series to top the ranking for 53 days. "Hellbound" on the other hand took the top spot for 11 days. Many are already curious about how many days "All Of Us Are Dead" will also top the Netflix ranking.
Foreign critic sites also gave positive responses to the drama.
"All Of Us Are Dead" consists of 12 episodes with 1 hour-long each. The drama was based on the webtoon of the same name by Joo Dong Geun. The series was the collaboration work of director Lee Jae Gyoo ("The Fatal Encounter") and writer Chun Sung Il ("L.U.C.A.: The Beginning").
The zombie drama was led by Park Ji Hoo, Yoon Chan Young, Jo Yi Hyun, Park Solomon, Yoo In Soo, Lee Yoo Mi, Kim Byung Chul, and Lee Kyu Hyung.
"All Of Us Are Dead" revolves around a zombie virus outbreak that starts at a high school. It showcases the journey of trapped high school students and their struggle to survive among their infected zombie classmates.
