MBC has confirmed the release slot of Black Out for August. The K-drama will air on Fridays and Saturdays.

Black Out tells the story of a young man, Go Jung Woo, who was branded as a culprit in a murder case, while the corpse was never found. After serving ten years in prison, he now seeks to uncover the truth of the case that turned his life upside down.

Byun Yo Han plays the role of Go Jung Woo. When Jung Woo was a 19-year-old high school student, he was arrested for killing two of his female classmates. Not only did he lose the chance to study at a prestigious medical school, but was also branded as the perpetrator and spent ten years in prison. After his release, he tries to start a new life but is unable to leave his hometown due to strange events that keep happening around him.

Go Jun will play the role of Detective Noh Sang Cheol, who is in charge of the murder case in question. Having graduated at the top of his class from the police academy, Sang Cheol used to be an elite detective with a promising future. But his life and career were shattered when his bride was brutally murdered on their wedding day, after which he was transferred to a rural police station. There, an incident leads him to re-investigate Jung Woo's case. Despite his traumatic past, Sang Cheol remains dedicated to his duty as a detective.

Actress Go Bo Gyeol will play Choi Na Gyeom, a top star and Jung Woo's high school classmate. Na Gyeom has devotedly supported Jung Woo during his ten years in prison and dreams of a happy life with him after his release.

Kim Bo Ra plays Ha Seol, a medical student who takes a leave of absence and works as a part-timer in a restaurant in Mucheon Village, the setting of the incident.

Black Out will premiere in August.
