Choi Daniel will reportedly be added to the cast of the upcoming drama "Today's Webtoon."

On April 8th several media outlets reported that Choi Daniel will be part of the upcoming drama "Today's Webtoon." The actor got the offer to play the role of Suk Ji Hyung, the reliable mentor and deputy editor of the webtoon editing department. 

Choi Daniel's agency J Wide Company responded to the reports and stated that the actor is positively reviewing the casting offer but nothing has been decided yet. 

"Today's Webtoon" will be directed by Jo Su Won and Kim Young Hwan and written Cho Ye Rang and Lee Hae Eun. The series will exclusively air on SBS. The series will be led by Kim Se Jeong and Nam Yoon Su

The upcoming series will be the Korean remake of "Juhan Shuttai!" (Sleepeeer Hit!), a Japanese series that was released in 2016. The Korean remake will narrate the journey of a former judo player who ventured into a new career. She got a new job as a webtoon editor. The drama will reveal the happenings in the webtoon editorial department.

"Today's Webtoon" will premiere in the second half of 2022. 

If Choi Daniel confirms his casting for "Today's Webtoon," this will be his official comeback to the small screen in four years. He last starred in the 2018 drama "The Ghost Detective." He also made a special appearance in different dramas in the past years such as "My Fellow Citizens!" and "It's Okay to Not Be Okay." 

The actor will also reportedly lead another drama this year titled "Flying Butterflies" with Kim Hyang Gi, Oh Yoon Ah, Shim Eun Woo, Park Jung Woo, and Moon Tae Yu

Choi Daniel is known for being part of the dramas "Jugglers," "School 2013," "Baby-faced Beauty," "High Kick Through the Roof!," "The World That They Live In," and more.
