Choi Woo Shik and Son Seok Koo are currently in discussion to lead the upcoming drama "The Murderer and the Toy."
On May 25th, several media outlets shared that Choi Woo Shik and Son Seok Koo have been chosen to be the main leads of the upcoming drama "The Murderer and the Toy."
Choi Woo Shik's agency Management SOOP responded to the casting news. The agency stated that Choi Woo Shik received the offer to join the drama and the actor is positively considering it. Son Seok Koo's agency SBD Entertainment also responded to the reports and also shared that their artist is positively reviewing the drama.
"The Murderer and the Toy" will be directed by Lee Chang Hee, the man behind the works "Strangers from Hell" and "The Vanished."
The upcoming drama will base its story on a popular Naver webtoon with the same name. It's a dark comedy crime thriller that will revolve around a man who accidentally becomes a murderer after an incident and the police detective who will be chasing him.
Choi Woo Shik has been offered to play the role of Lee Tang, the average man who accidentally becomes a murderer overnight.
Son Seok Koo got the offer to play as the police detective who will chase Lee Tang.
"The Murderer and the Toy" will reportedly air through a global OTT platform.
If Choi Woo Shik confirms his casting, this will be his follow-up drama after 2021's "Our Beloved Summer" with Kim Da Mi and Kim Sung Cheol. The actor is also set to star in the upcoming movie "Wonderland" with Bae Suzy, Park Bo Gum, Jung Yu Mi, and more.
Son Seok Koo on the other hand is currently starring in the hit drama "My Liberation Notes" with Lee Min Ki, Kim Ji Won, Lee El, Lee Ki Woo, and Chun Ho Jin. He will also join the upcoming drama "Casino." The actor's film "The Roundup" recently premiered and has already become a box office hit. Son Seok Koo will also lead the upcoming movie "Virus."
