Actor Choi Young Joon is confirmed to join the cast of the soon-to-air SBS drama "Why Her?"
On June 1st Choi Young Joon's agency Double K Entertainment shared through media outlets that the actor will be part of the upcoming Friday-Saturday drama "Why Her?"
"Why Her?" will revolve around Oh Soo Jae, a successful and excellent lawyer who got demoted to being a professor. This leads her to meet Gong Chan, a university student whose path frequently crosses with her.
The upcoming series will be directed by Park Soo Jin ("While You Were Sleeping") and the script will be written by Kim Ji Eun ("Lie After Lie.")
Choi Young Joon will play the role of Yoon Se Pil, the CEO of SP Partners. He is boastful about his intelligence collecting skills. He will work alongside Oh Soo Jae.
The main character Oh Soo Jae will be played by Seo Hyun Jin. The university college student will be portrayed by Hwang In Yeop.
Other casts of the drama include Bae In Hyuk, Heo Joon Ho, UP10TION's Lee Jin Hyuk, Lee Joo Woo, Kim Chang Wan, and more.
"Why Her?" will premiere on June 3rd at 10 PM KST. The series will exclusively air on SBS.
Choi Young Joon is currently part of the star-studded tvN series "Our Blues." His performance in the drama was highly praised as he portrayed the role of a single father and a good friend.
He also made a special appearance in the 2022 Netflix drama "The Sound of Magic." "Why Her?" will be Choi Young Joon's third drama project for the year.
Choi Young Joon made his acting debut in 2019. He is best known for starring in the dramas "Hospital Playlist," "Inspector Koo," and "Vincenzo."
