In the midst of a string of controversies, Yoo Ah In's movie The Match gets embroiled in another rumour. While the release of the Netflix movie is unclear due to the film's lead actor Yoo Ah In'a controversy related to use of drugs, there is word going around that Netflix has sent an official document to the investor of the movie regarding the termination of the contract. However, Netflix said it could not confirm the report.

On March 21, an official from Netflix told Edaily, "There is nothing that can be confirmed because nothing has been decided about the matter".

An official from Yoo Ah In's agency also announced that they did not get any report regarding the decision. So, fans anticipating the movie will have to wait a little longer to know if and when The Match will be available on the OTT platform.

The Match is the story of two legendary players of Go (Baduk) - Cho Hun Hyun and Lee Chang Ho.

Lee Chang Ho was Cho Hun Hyun's protege, but after achieving excellence in the game, he sits face-to-face in the fierce match opposite his mentor.

The role of Cho Hun Hyun is played by the veteran actor Lee Byung Hun and Yoo Ah In acts as Lee Chang Ho. The movie also casts Moon Jung HeeKo Chang SeokHyun Bong Sik, and Kim Kang Hoon in supporting roles.

Yoon Jong Bin of The Spy Gone North is the movie's screenwriter, and  Kim Hyung Joo is its director.

It was originally planned to be released through Netflix this year, but now the schedule has become unclear due to the Hellbound actor Yoo Ah In'a controversy related to drug use, who is currently charged with using four types of drugs: propofol, ketamine, hemp, and cocaine.
