Disney+ K-drama "A Shop For Killers" in discussion for a new season

Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Joon's hit Disney+ K-drama A Shop for Killers will possibly have a new season.

On March 12, streaming service Disney+ held a press conference at 10:30 AM KST at the JW Marriot in Seoul. They showcased their upcoming content for 2024. 

One of the representatives of Disney+ local content revealed that because A Shop for Killers opened the door to Disney+ success this year. Many people are expecting the continuation of the story. According to the representative, Disney+ is in close discussion for season 2 of the K-drama. 

Meanwhile, other Disney+ K-dramas that will premiere this year are Uncle Samsik, Blood Free, Light Shop, and more. 

Disney+ is currently airing the K-drama The Impossible Heir led by Lee Jae Wook, Lee Jun Young, Hong Su Zu, Choi Jin Ho, Kim Ho Jung, and Han Sang Jin.

A Shop For Killers was led by Lee Dong Wook, Kim Hye Joon, Seo Hyun Woo, Park Ji Bin, Geum Hae Na, Jo Han Sun, Lee Tae Young, Kim Min, and more. 

The K-drama revolves around the survival of Jian, the niece of Jeong Jinman who operates a mysterious shopping mall. After Jeong Jinman was declared dead, Jian was left alone at her uncle's house and became the target of suspicious killers. The story was depicted from the novel of the same name by  Kang Ji Young. 

A Shop For Killers was the collaboration work of director Lee Kwon (Shut Up: Flower Boy Band) and Ji Ho Jin (When Time Stopped). 

The K-drama premiered on January 17. The series had a total of 8 episodes. It was not only famous locally but many International viewers also praised the cast and story of the K-drama.
