In the 12th episode of SBS TV's Friday-Saturday drama Dr. Romantic Season 3, it was revealed that Cha Jin Man (played by Lee Kyung Young), who failed to fulfill his role as a leader, stepped down from the trauma center director position. Kim Sa Bu's (played by Han Seok Kyu) Season 1 disciple, Kang Dong Joo (played by Yoo Yeon Seok), took his place.

On this day, Cha Jin Man's reputation plummeted as news of the incident where he was responsible for the death of his disciple three years ago spread. Frustrated with the doctors' authority not being respected, Cha Jin Man expressed his anger, and Kim Sa Bu said, "That's why we, who have grown older, are here. We're not here to suck the blood and exploit the younger ones below us! We should use our experience to guide, our wisdom to look down, and create a better world! You were placed there not for the sake of your honor but for the well-being and prosperity of everyone."

Ultimately, Cha Jin Man submitted his resignation and stepped down from the trauma center director position. Witnessing Cha Jin Man leaving for Seoul, Cha Eun Jae regretted her harsh words to her father and shed tears. Cha Jin Man left a request for Seo Woo Jin to take care of his daughter, Cha Eun Jae, and Cha Eun Jae found solace in Seo Woo Jin's embrace.

However, Park Min Guk's (played by Kim Joo Heon) plan to voluntarily make Cha Jin Man leave to protect the trauma center fell apart. The provincial member had never intended to give the hospital's budget, and it was all a political ploy to force Cha Jin Man's dismissal. Kim Sa Bu stated that someone stronger than him would become the trauma center director.

Later, Kang Dong Joo appeared at Dol Dam Hospital with his luggage. After exchanging greetings with GS Seo Woo Jin at Dol Dam Hospital, a scene depicting Kim Sa Bu welcoming his disciple unfolded.

According to Nielsen Korea, this episode's viewership rating was 13.4% nationwide.
