The upcoming sci-fi thriller "Duty After School" (Korean title "방과 후 전쟁활동", which literally translates to "After School War Activities") will officially have its release in March, according to TVING. The K-content distributor also released a poster of the K-drama on its Twitter channel.  

The show is adapted from a webtoon of the same name written by Ha Il Kwon. "Duty After School" portrays the story of high school students who are conscripted to fight alien objects to earn extra points ahead of the competitive college entrance exam CSAT.  

The K-drama will star Shin Hyun Soo (who rose to fame after playing Kook Ki Bong in "Eulachacha Waikiki Season 2"), Im Se Mi (last seen in "The Worst of Evil"), and the rising star Kim Ki Hae, as the main leads of the sci-fi drama.   

In the supporting roles are Ahn Do Kyu, the "Weak Hero Class 1" actor Kim Su GyeomShin Hye Ji  (last seen in Reflection of You), Choi Moon Hee (from "Miracle Girl"), and Lee Yeon (who is remembered for her extraordinary performance in "Juvenile Justice" and who also came as the teenager Nam Haeng Seon in "Crash Course in Romance"), among others. 

So far, the sources have reported that Im Se Mi will play the warm-hearted homeroom teacher Park Eun Young who always gives precedence to her students' safety, and "Weak Hero Class 1" actor Kim Su Gyeom will play the troublemaker Kwon Il Ha of class 2 grade 3. 

The screenplay of "Duty After School" is penned by the "The Light in Your Eyes" screenwriter  Lee Nam Gyu. And the "Class of Lies" director Sung Yong Il is credited for helming the upcoming thriller. 

The drama will contain a total of ten episodes. More news about the drama's broadcast on OTT platforms is yet to come.
