Choi Sung Eun will reportedly lead a webtoon based K-drama by "The Cursed" director
After starring in Mask Girl, Go Hyun Jung's possible next K-drama project will be The Mantis.
On November 14, media outlets revealed that Go Hyun Jung will be the main lead of the upcoming Korean remake of the French series La Mante. The French series was made available on the OTT platform Netflix.
Go Hyun Jung's agency shared their response to the circulating casting news. According to IOK Company, "The Mantis is one of the offered works to our artist Go Hyun Jung. She is currently reviewing and discussing the offer."
The Mantis is a thriller K-drama and the story begins when someone starts a murder that imitates the style of an imprisoned serial killer. The serial killer then offered help to the police to catch the copycat serial killer with one condition and it is to make his son the detective that will be in charge of her. The upcoming series will be produced by Merry Christmas and the filming will possibly begin next year.
Go Hyun Jung got the offer to play the role of the serial killer with a police son.
Meanwhile, there is no official confirmation yet if the K-drama will be released through a broadcast channel or an OTT platform. There are no other reports as well on the possible actors that will work alongside Go Hyun Jung.
This year, Go Hyun Jung participated in the hit Netflix original K-drama Mask Girl with Lee Han Byeol, After School's Nana, Ahn Jae Hong, Yeom Hye Ran, and Shin Ye Seo.
Go Hyun Jung is known for being part of the K-dramas Reflection of You, Dear My Friends, The Queen's Classroom, Queen Seon Duk, Sandglass, A Love Without Fear, and more.
