Hwang In Youp will make a cameo appearance in Kim You Jung's new K-drama "Dear. X"
Gong Myung and Kim Min Ha are the new K-drama fantasy couple!
On November 8, TVING officially confirmed that Gong Myung and Kim Min Ha will join hands in starring in the upcoming youth fantasy romance K-drama A Week Before I Die (literal translation).
A Week Before I Die is the first OTT project of CJ ENM's film division. It will be helmed by director Roh Deok who is known for creating the K-drama Glitch.
The upcoming fantasy romance K-drama will revolve around a 24-year-old woman named Hee Wan who has no desire to live and her childhood friend and first love Ram Woo who suddenly appeared in front of her but now as a grim reaper. It will narrate the meeting of two people a week before their deaths, facing secrets they did not know when they were still studying, and finding the true meaning of love and life. The upcoming K-drama will base its story on the novel of the same name.
The production team shared, "The upcoming K-drama will be based on Seo Eun Chae's novel and many readers have already been anticipating its drama version. We hope that the story of Hee Wan and Ram Woo who will fulfill their bucket list on the last week of their lives will convey warm comfort and sympathy to the viewers."
A Week Before I Die will exclusively premiere on TVING. It will air in 2025.
Kim Min Ha will portay the role of Jung Hee Wan. She is in the face of death after she wastes her youth by becoming a lonely person. This will be the return of Kim Min Ha to acting after three years. She was last seen in the 2022 Apple TV original K-drama Pachinko with Youn Yuh Jung, Lee Min Ho, Jin Ha, Yuna, and Park So Hee.
The actress is also expected to appear in the upcoming movie Pokro.
Gong Myung on the other hand will portray the role of Kim Ram Woo, a grim reaper who appeared in front of Hee Wan six years after he died. He will help Hee Wan in fulfilling her extraordinary bucket list before she dies.
This will be the second upcoming K-drama of Gong Myung. Aside from A Week Before I Die, the actor will also join the new K-drama Mercy for None. He will be working with So Ji Sub, Ahn Kil Kang, Lee Bum Soo, Heo Joon Ho, and Choo Young Woo.
Gong Myung will also join the upcoming action comedy film Citizen of a Kind which will be led by Ra Mi Ran, Yeom Hye Ran, Jang Yoon Ju, Park Byung Eun, and Ahn Eun Jin
