Na In Woo and Lee Se Young will reportedly work together for a new MBC K-drama!
Han Ji Eun is confirmed to be one of the leads of the upcoming drama "Ask The Stars."
On April 4th, it was officially announced that Han Ji Eun will be starring in the upcoming 2023 drama "Ask The Stars." She will be working with confirmed main leads Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin.
"Ask The Stars" is a romantic comedy-drama set on a space station. The series will narrate how an astronaut and a tourist fall for each other after having an encounter at the space station. The drama has been in the works for almost five years. According to reports, the production has a 50 billion Korean won (approx. $41 million US dollars) budget.
The upcoming series will be helmed by "Jealousy Incarnate" production, director Park Shin Woo ("It's Okay to Not Be Okay"), and writer Seo Sook Hyang ("Pasta").
Han Ji Eun will play the role of Choi Go Eun, the fiancee of Lee Min Ho's character named Gong Ryong. She is also the only daughter of the conglomerate family Mirae Group. Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho will play as an OB-GYN (obstetrician-gynecologist) and Gong Hyo Jin will play the role of Eve Kim, a Korean-American astronaut. It was also reported that actor Oh Jung Se will also join the upcoming drama.
"Ask The Stars" plans to premiere in 2023 through a local broadcasting station and a global OTT streaming platform.
"Ask The Stars" is the first confirmed project of Han Ji Eun for 2023. For this year, she will be leading the upcoming TVING drama "Ants are Riding" with Hong Jong Hyun, Jang Gwang, Jung Moon Sung, and Kim Sun Young. She is also set to lead the upcoming film "Moradong" with Lee Dong Hwi and Girls Day's Park So Jin.
In 2021, Han Ji Eun starred in "Bad and Crazy" with Lee Dong Wook, Wi Ha Joon, VIXX's N, Sung Ji Ru, and Cha Shi Won. She also made several special appearances in "The Witch's Diner" and "My Roommate Is a Gumiho."
