WE FIT EACH OTHER: A Peculiar Couple Combination
Are you tired of watching Historical dramas with an annoying King/Emperor and a weak (and annoying!) portrayal of a lead woman causing us to drop or punch the screen of our tv? Well, I do feel your sentiment, but still, we come back for more. I chose three power couples that can be perfect rulers and lead their people into a great future...

1. Chu Bei Jie and Bai Ping Ting (General and I)
"A man who can't even protect his wife. How is he fit to protect his own country? "
Our loyal and hopelessly in love General - that is known as “The God of War” turned into a diligent and loving king - and a commoner strategist Bai Ping Ting, as his beloved wife (queen), are on the top of my list as a power couple. This destined couple ruling a Kingdom will not easily be seized by others. Bei Jie as a leader of the army, with his power and smart moves, will have the confidence to beat the enemy. You heard it right. He’s not only strong, but he has the brains that can fight head to head with his brilliant wife Bai Ping Ting. And for our heroine, they better think twice before they can outsmart her. She can use even nature as her own method in times of war. This couple as rulers... If I was one of the people in their kingdom, I would feel more at ease as they have a soft heart and are loyal to their kingdom. Well if you want proof just watch how LOYAL Bei Jie is to Ping Ting.

2. SeonDeok and Bidam (Queen Seon Duk)
Just be by my side. ALWAYS.
The Queen that is adored by many viewers because of her braveness and wittiness became one of my favourites, together with the sly and genius swordsman Bidam. This odd couple can be an interesting “what if they rule the kingdom”. Will it be good or bad for people? Or will they complement each other in terms of creating decisions for the greater good of the people? Seon Deok was a rational ruler, but still, she can be too soft so, I think she needs to have a character type like Bidam. Sometimes he can be easily persuaded by others, but he's still a good strategist for the army as he can manipulate others as well as he can train them to become strong. And his humour can lessen the heavy air inside the palace.

3. Mei Chang Su and Mu Ni Huang (Nirvana In Fire)
I can be a help even when I’m weak
Imagine if Mei Chang Su was healthy when he was young, and in a parallel world, he became a King. This brilliant strategist can be a pain in the a** for them. And those who have already watched Nirvana in Fire will think that Me Chang Su was also a great son of the General way before that tragedy happened. He is strong and witty (well, he survived that fall didn't he??). Together with Ni Huang, the badass Princess with a pure heart, that can fit as a Queen who cannot easily be manipulated by others in the Kingdom. Oh, and she can be a leader of the army in times of war. Such a good couple for the Liang dynasty.

We sacrifice a LOT of time watching historical dramas, so sometimes it is really frustrating to see weak characters. Oh well, that’s always a part of the drama world and despite that, I really really love watching historical dramas because I learn a lot about different cultures. It’s my version of a time machine.
Imagine if these three couples ruled the kingdom. Who do you think would top and have the most prosperous and stable nation? I'm excited just to see a drama like that!!!
