Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Hwang In Yeop is in talks to be the male lead for the upcoming drama "Why Oh Soo Jae?"
According to reports on May 24, Hwang In Yeop will now be the male lead for the upcoming SBS drama "Why Oh Soo Jae?" starring Seo Hyun Jin. The drama was first offered to Kim Young Dae but reports stated that the actor eventually steps down from the drama due to conflicts in schedule.
Seo Hyun Jin has already confirmed her casting for "Why Oh Soo Jae?" since December 2020. The drama will be directed by the same director of "While You Were Sleeping,” Park Soo Jin PD. The script will be written by Kim Ji Eun who also worked for "Lie After Lie."
"Why Oh Soo Jae?" is a romance drama that will reveal the romance between a law school professor and her student. Seo Hyun Jin will play the role of Oh Soo Jae, a bad-tempered and cruel professor.
Hwang In Yeop got the offer to play the role of Gongchan. He is a freshman at Seojung University Law School and the owner of a tavern.
An official from his agency KeyEast responded to the reports and stated that Hwang In Yeop got the proposal to star in "Why Oh Soo Jae?" and he is currently reviewing it.
"Why Oh Soo Jae?" is aiming to premiere next year.
After rising to fame with his participation in the drama "True Beauty" with Cha Eun Woo and Moon Ga Young, Hwang In Yeop already received several project offers. He is going to work with Ji Chang Wook and Choi Sung Eun for the upcoming Netflix original series "The Sound of Magic.” If he accepts the offer to star in "Why Oh Soo Jae?", this will be his first ever leading role in the small screen.
