The TVING original series Queen Woo, starring Jeon Jong SeoKim Mu YeolJi Chang WookJung Yoo MiLee Soo Hyuk, and Park Ji Hwan, among others, has confirmed its release date for August 29.

Queen Woo is a historical drama about Queen Woo, who becomes the target of five factions and princes of Goguryeo vying for the throne after the sudden death of the king. 

The drama stars Jeon Jong Seo as Woo Hee; the queen who is in danger of being dethroned after the king's death; Kim Mu Yeol as Eul Pa So, the prime minister; Jung Yoo Mi as Woo Soon, the queen's lady-in-waiting; Lee Soo Hyuk as Go Bal Gi, the third prince and a candidate for the throne; Park Ji Hwan as Moo Gol, the commander; and Ji Chang Wook as Go Nam Moo, the king of Goguryeo.

The teaser reveals the chaos within and outside the Goguryeo palace due to the unexpected death of the warrior king Go Nam Moo (Ji Chang Wook), who was sweeping the battlefield. It highlights Woo Hee's struggles as she must resolve the crisis without having time even to mourn the king's death. She heads out of the palace to establish a new king in the face of threats from forces aiming to overthrow her to rise to power. Following Go Nam Moo's words, "Now you must protect yourself," Woo Hee remains headstrong in confronting her enemies.
